I'm blown away by your system's ability to pick out all the details and layers of these Pink Floyd recordings. Simply amazing. Now I want the Hana and the Graham Slee Accession MC for my SOTA Star Sapphire, but I'm not sure my Grace 707 arm is up to it!

A wonderful album, and one of my favorites from PF, although i have a soft spot for almost everything they did when Roger Waters was on board. Nevertheless, they did a very elegant job on this album!

It's an album that's taken a long time to grow on me, Rui! But I've come to like it a lot, and it seemed like a good outing for the Hana!

This one's always been my favorite one of the Gilmour Floyd albums, but you could tell by the time they got to "Pulse" that Gilmour was starting to lose interest. He didn't really need to prove himself anymore because PF had more or less won the popularity contest, if not by them being better than Roger Waters, then by the fact that Roger seemed to alienate everyone he came in contact with, something he even admits now. Still, if anyone wants to buy me "Amused to Death" or "Is This The Life We Really Want?" on vinyl for Christmas, I certainly wouldn't turn either down :)

Thank you Nigel. The Hana has "come of age" I guess you might say, for me anyway. The new Accession MC phono amp brings it out of the shell I found it in. I've got to work my way though the other MCs with the phono amp to see how it stacks up, but to be honest it's fantastic value for money.

Would a Graham Accession and a audio sprout100 be a good set up for the Hana El?

What settings are you using for the Hana? I've finally decided to get an EL for my Music Hall mmf-2.2, and I've read that it requires around 500 ohms to sound really good, but I only have 10, 100, 1K and 47KOhms on my Phono Box S2. If it won't work with either 100 or 1K, what LOMC in that price range would you recommend? I was also looking at the Denon DL-301 II, but I don't know if it would be too much for the tonearm.

Thanks for your comment. I run the Hana EL at 500 ohms from my Graham Slee Accession MC. I believe the specs for the Hana state greater than 400 ohms. I once had a phono stage (briefly) that had a fully variable loading setting, and you could wind the knob up an down as the music played. In my experience, the only significant changes to the sound were at the extremes 30 ohms and under, and approaching 47k ohms. The difference between 500 ohms and 1000 ohms will be so minimal you (or at least i) would be hard pressed to hear it. No doubt the golden-eared will scoff at this, but I personally would have no problem running the Hana at 1k ohm.
