If you would argue me on the phone about your cellphone I'd refuse to give any help I can to resolve the situation or do the bare minimum when it was grossly unfair. When people where super patient, I'd go above and beyond to repair the mistake and more. Being nice helps everyone. Also it helps me get my call done faster since I don't have to hear you yell for stupid reasons.

Trust me the managers can be assholes, I once ordered 4 "plain" cheese burgers, as i always do every single time(I dont like ketchup and what not). When i got them they were ofcourse normal cheese burgers. Now tell me who is in the right or wrong now, I politely tell the cute girl trying to give me the wrong order that i have orders "plain" cheeseburgers and not normal ones. She said okay and went back to talk to her manager which was a young self centered prick. He came with the most negative attitude, didnt say anything else than "You didnt say plain" and reached the bag out the window, I laughed a little since i thought it was extremely rude, so much that it turned funny, and said.. I did say plain, now can i have my plain cheese burgers?" He continued insisting that i had not said "Plain" and tried to give me the bag with the wrong order over and over again, until i unfortunetly got mad and said, "Listen, you tell me i did not say plain cheese again and we can step outside and talk about it" I lost my temper.. That was after he also Refused to give me a refund which I asked for since i didnt want to discuss if I had said "plain" or not hahaha.. In the end after all his provocation and belittling me, he agreed to make my "plain" cheese burgers, which he said with the most disgusting smile on his lips. I would be stupid to take anything coming from that guy after how he behaved and provocated me aswell. So i ended up just stepping the gas after he was gonna make my "plaiiiiin" cheese burgers for me that would be served with a side dish of spit. Now tell me who was wrong? If i was the manager I would solve it like this. "Oh really, sorry i will have the plain ones ready for you in 3" Instead he was gonna act like some kind of machoman infront of that girl working the drive. He is lucky he did not take my offer to step outside when i lost my temper, thats all i gotta say.. They can be very..very disrespectful. This is just one story. I got plenty. This one just took the prize.

A few years ago I was talking to a couple (around 21 or 22 years old each) and they made a comment about the "stupid people who flip burgers all day". I successfully stopped myself from slapping these two losers. A person who works is better than someone who doesn't work. Flipping burgers or running a cash register might not be a dream job but it is a good job until something better comes along - if that's your goal. Arguing or insulting them for no reason just means that you are a POC.

Thank you. I used to be a Hertz manager and we always encourage customers to take photos of their rented vehicle before signing and driving off. My location in particular was not that great and my big boss doesn't give two hoots about customer experience, just that fact that it's a busy location and he only cares about profit.

The gate agent should be notified of any damages or concerns ahead of time. For example, we've had instances where the renter didn't have a full tank. The agent informed me and told him to shut down his gate and quickly drive around our building to fill up the tank. Also, your ticket should have a paper that has a car diagram to draw any damages to note. So please, please fill those out no matter how tired you are. It will save you headache if any should happen during your rental period.
