If I had a steak and it wasn't cooked right or tough I would cut it through the centre at its rarest point and inspect. Have a bite to taste. If it isn't to my liking I get the service persons or manager. You don't eat half a steak to realise you don't want it

I have no sympathy for the homeless,unless they are homeless because of no family. And it’s pretty easy to tell. They made the choice to do drugs which is 99% of the homeless. But when I talk to them if they are actually homeless without a drug problem I’ll offer to buy them whatever they want in the store. I never hand them money directly

I’ve never told this story, because I’m not looking for any praise! I remember going to an army surplus store to get some gear for camping, and on my way home I saw a lady panhandling by an overpass I went to the nearest MickeyDs got a bag full of fries and another of different burgers and a $50… when I handed it to her ( I was still in my car just making a quick drop off) her eyes turned into waterfalls, I had to go fast because traffic was piled up behind me… I looked in the rear view and saw her blowing a kiss and waving! I hope she’s ok!

If you used an app, then you get your refund from the app. The employees did not actually receive your card or cash. Acting this way because you are black...um, all the employees were black as well. The employee tried to explain what you needed to do, however customers only hear what they wish to hear.

As someone who worked in restaurants and customer service for a long time, they severely overestimate two things. One, that anyone of us care if they come back or not. Two, that corporate gives a shit about their complaints. You know how hard it is to keep people working at these jobs? Yeah the 80s are over and the customer is not always right. Daria B what you hear and what is seen are two different things. Just because someone sound a certain way doesn’t decide they’re black green orange or white. If your only point were to point out the one young man kind heart then that should have been left as said. But instead you assumed all of them to be black based on how they talk. People talk differently based on their environment or company they keep. Don’t assume someone race or sexual orientation based on how someone sound or speak, walk or carry themselves. They could have been Spanish, white, native etc. You can’t see them so no body knows.

I agree, back when I was a general manager at a high volume restaurant, I had the same policy. If you consumed half of the meal, you're paying for it, end of story. There is a reason someone checks back with you within 3 minutes to ensure your meal was cooked properly. It's a for profit establishment, not a Goodwill. Telling me you didn't "like it," after eating half of it, simply tells me you're an idiot for ordering a type of food you don't like. Not liking something is not the same as the food being prepared wrong or finding a hair in your food. The customer is not always right, not even close. More often than not, the customer is pampered by other establishments in order to maintain their patrons because their product is simply subpar. Unfortunately this leads to Patrons thinking they can get freebies for simply saying they didn't like it. A well ran establishment with exceptional quality food will stand by their product because that's what brings their customers back. There is no need to bend over backwards for an entitled customer who feels they can simply duck out of paying for the item they received, simply because "The customer is always right."

I've been there before, I've had to eat out of the trash before because it was either that or beg for money. Nobody would hire me, even though I applied to dozens of places I couldn't find a job. Never had anyone give me cash and I would never beg. Some places like gas stations who had hot deli food would sometimes give me the food that didn't sell, because they would just throw it away at the end of the day. But I'm back on my feet now, I have a decent job and a roof over my head. :)
