With Pulse 3 out of the way it's time for Pulse... ENOUGH WITH THE PULSES! This one is British so "Film British" might need to stop by to "help". phelous.com / phelous Originally aired: August 18, 2010
It seems like "Pulse" is the go-to title for bad movies similar to how "Alan Smithee" is the go-to name for screenwriters who don't want their names on bad movies.
Feel sorry for the actual person named “Alan Smithee” who wants to go into the film industry... Well, maybe he would be referred to as “The Good Alan Smithee” by people if he preforms well, can't call himself that, gotta earn it first.
Is that true? This reveal warrants a "Dadadada! ... Curien...!", in my opinion. [PS: Has Phelous not uploaded Pulse 2 to RU-vid, or did I just get blocked immediately in Germany like so many other videos?]
I'm not a Silent Hill connaisseur (only know of some lore from Linkara's reviews of the comics), so I am not sure when Phelous made the reference. Thanks in advance for clarifying this. :)
This movie seems a bit more competent than those other previous "Pulse" movies. The characters may be incompetent but at least the world makes sense. However I bet people would be more interested if the title was _"Incompetent Hospital"_ instead of _"Pulse"_.
Phelan Porteous Ya I've been the same way with baseball since the Expos left. I'm from Montreal BTW. I read somewhere you were Canadian, what province?
Out of the million Pulse movies I personally think the 1988 one is the best..I know many would disagree but I've enjoyed that one since childhood. ( nostalgia) This one while bad at least makes a little bit more sense than the "internet ghost " Pulse franchise.
Shockingly the events in this movie happen a lot in NHS hospitals. Casual staff, common mistakes, injecting strange stuff into people's VEEEINS nghhey! Their blood is on your hands, Thatcher! (shakes fist)
Honestly if the hospital wanted to keep this dudes medical treatment hidden why would they allow residents (interns?) around the patient to begin with?
wow, that movie was anti-climatic! no wonder it didn't become a series or whatever.... also Yay film brain! my third favourite reviewer! :-D cheers number 3!
HOW MANY FUCKING PUSLE MOVIES ARE OUT THERE?!?! Seriously, when Phelous first posted Pulse I was assuming he was talking about that shitty Kristen Bell movie.
RisingVictor He did. First, he reviewed the 1988 movie called Pulse, then he reviewed the 2002 film that also went of the name Otane, and THEN he reviewed the Pulse movie about internet ghost; he also reviewed the 2 direct-to-video sequels. After that, he reviewed this Pulse, and after this, he reviewed the Tara Reid film Incubus, which was originally gonna be called (say it with me) PULSE.
RisingVictor Don't forget Boogeyman. Phelous already did those in 2011, along with the Jeepers Creepers films; the first film's working title was "Here Comes the Boogeyman."
Phelous' dedication to making a series out of unrelated movies (or "movies" in this case) just for sharing the same title is commendable. I get the feeling he really just wanted to review the "Internet Ghost Trilogy," but he was willing to stick it out with "Electricity Kills" and "Dysfunctional Daughter" to get there and he's carrying the torch even after he's run out of need for red tape. Red Tape?...Ghosts are human spirits?...What the Hell!? The Internet Ghost Trilogy was an allegory for how bureaucracy stifles human ingenuity and freedom! That's why those movies are awful! That's why the main character of the third movie was hypocritical in the last minute! The movies ironically take the stand that governmental oversight is the only thing between humanity and death, which is why red tape is used like a safety blanket, why the "nuke the planet" plan succeeds even though we were supposedly not supposed to like Mr. Red and that the one ghost-turned-human we got to see was uncharacteristically and inexplicably bad to paint damning all ghosts as a good thing! The movies didn't AGREE with bureaucracy, it was all a deliberate art project to write a story from the opposition's viewpoint and watch it collapse in on itself! INTERNET GHOST TRILOGY IS AVANTE GARRRRRRRRRRRRRDE!
i fucking LOVE claire foy - phelous i don't suppose you have a full version of the 2010 bbc pulse that you fancy uploading so ican see more of her? thank you thank you thank you
I remember seeing this. It had potential. But it didn't have enough in the pilot to get a series. No one was going to make a series from a film with that weak a ending.
Congratulations Pulse from 2010, you appear to be the least crappy movie with that title. That's like being the best console to play Balan Wonderworld on.
@@phelous i eventually realized that and came back to delete---- i-i mean yeah! yeah, i was joking. :B of course i knew all along. and it didn't take me 2 years to figure it out, just, um, took... 2 years to reply! yeah.
How are horrible movies are being made after the previous of them were failures Why are they doing experimentation with regular people around regular people and not in a really secured location?
