Quick & Easy Chana Dal Spinach
-1 bunch spinach wash and cut and set aside (cut stems keep separately)
-Soak Chana dal for 2hrs wash and set aside
-1 roughly cut onion
-2 roughly cut tomatoes
-4 big whole pod garlic
-4 green chilli slit
-Spice powder: 1/2 tsp turmeric powder,1/2 tsp hing/Asafoetida, 1 tsp ghee
Seasoning/Tadka
-Whole head of Garlic chopped
-3 whole dry chillies
-1 tbsp fenugreek leaves
-1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
-2 tbsp ghee,3 tbsp olive oil
-1/2 tsp cumin
-And to a pressure cooker soaked chana dal, enough water, tomato, onion, green chillies, garlic, spinach stems, turmeric, salt, Asafoetida, ghee mix well and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles or until dal turns soft.
-remove skin from the tomatoes and stir and simmer until you get write consistency
-Add tadka: Heat oil & ghee add garlic cook till golden, move from the flame add fenugreek leaves , dry red chillies, Kashmiri chilli powder, cumin seeds pour over the chana dal.
-Enjoy with greea rice, cutlets.
