Trump cultists. They love attacking people with stutters and physical disabilities, as well as constantly using “retard” to put someone down, implying that people with disabilities are lesser individuals to be used as hateful epithets.
@@dieCG I think that's just a general ableist thing, although most people like that tend to gravitate to reactionary circles. It's really easy to make fun of people with disabilities, so people who aren't very smart are impressed by that.
I know I shouldn't get worked up over a youtube story but that story about the stuttering cashier pissed me off. I'm mildly autistic and have had several people over the course of my life taunt me for 'talking too slow.' I even had a young boy I didn't even know ask me "Why do you talk so slow?" one time in a doctor's office.
@@susansusan6612 If I had to guess I'd say the kid was about 8 or 9. But I even had a relative of mine (who was in at least her late 50's or early 60's) tell me about two or three times that I needed to learn to talk faster (I was about 15 at the time).:(
I'm hella self conscious about my speech. Lately I noticed I trip over words a lot and I feel like people think there's something wrong with me. It's really hard to talk when I make videos on social media but years ago it was never an issue when I used to make them on RU-vid. Sometimes I'll stutter and I constantly have to apologize about it.
@@Kakmanmartinez666 I'm sorry about that. Nobody should feel like they have to apologize for the way they talk. Wait scratch that. NOBODY should have to apologize for something about themselves that they can't help.

wtf idk what the minimum wage in my country is but I'm 17 and work in fast food and get paid $16.30. That's absolutely insane to me (when I was sixteen it was $13.60)
I have to shadow a physical therapist for the program I’m in for school, and depending on where you go, it’s the same. They had me folding laundry, cleaning floors, etc while I was supposed to be watching the therapists. Would not recommend spending your off day working for free 🙃

@@justyourfriendlyneighborho903 You're not wrong, since they don't actually give you responsibilities they leave the contract open-ended so that they can change what your responsibilities are.
@@lilwizraw12 Although federal labor law says that the internship has to actually have some connection to their educational program. Not all states require that it be arranged through a school but having a student in a chemistry program stuffing envelopes would not meet the standard of having any true program equivalent instruction. Internships are to be used similar to apprenticeships in the trades. It's not supposed to be free labor, it's supposed to be more to the benefit of the student than the business (their having a free set of hands is a knock on effects rather than the primary purpose). If one raises the matter with a labor board they can be entitled to minimum wage, plus punitive interest for the misuse of internship.
@@Oxios That's is true, although this is not common knowledge and businesses often sweep this under the rug with false promises. The text message chain could be potentially a federal crime. Depending on the age of the other recipients, OP could be charged with sending adult images to a child. I know its annoying but jail is more annoying.
@312desolation sending unsolicited nudity to individuals can be considered sexual harassment as well. Even if they aren't a minor. It was very dumb indeed.
Actually, those religious groups may(and by the description are) themselves violating the CAN-SPAM law, so they could BOTH be held legally liable, especially if those mass spam texts and emails are to a person of a different religion. They could very possibly claim harassment based on religious grounds.
Unpaid internships is possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. And every time I have heard of them in use - it has been in the US (honestly, no surprise there). If you don't want to PAY for the position, you don't NEED the position. As far as I am concerned - it is slavery.
Internships are supposed to be regulated, but mostly it's on the individual state level. Internships are supposed to be like apprenticeships in that they primarily benefit the intern by giving them a safe instruction environment. The business does benefit by an extra set of hands to use and goodwill generated in the community by training the young up and coming generation of workers. The intern's work is supposed to help the existing employees instead of replace paid employees. But businesses and the people who run them are self-interested to get labor for the least amount of money possible, and will abuse the idea of internships.
On the flip side, what kind of idiot works for free? It's not slavery because the intern isn't being forced into it. They CHOOSE to work for free. Unpaid internships are just volunteer work for the stupid.
@@War450 Some jobs can be incredibly hard to get into unless you have an expensive qualification or experience. Not all jobs obviously, but some people do unpaid work so they can more easily find a job in their preferred area. I still disagree with unpaid internships
@@zebial2565 If people are willing to do it, then let them. If they're getting better careers out of it then it's not 'unpaid' as they're receiving something for it. If you disagree with it, just don't do it. But if other people are fine with it, let them go and intern.
@@flazzorb I think most companies get away with it by saying something like "You may be hired on if you do well enough", then give some BS excuse as to why they aren't hired.
unpaid internship has it's applications. for example, I did an 4 days internship at a workshop. they basically taught me some metalworking stuff. I was not doing any actual work, but would still be supervised. it would have been stupid getting paid for that. HOWEVER, if someone is doing actual work, and/or for more than a week, unpaid internship should be illegal
It is slavery. Not other way to slice it. You are working, regardless of how unproductive you are or for what reason you are there and you are receiving no compensation.
@@ScorpiusZA. You don't even know what slavery is, if they can leave without serious repercussions it's not slavery. Also education has value to, it's just that the trade is made without money as an means of exchange, labor is traded directly for education. Also almost every youtuber pays their rent with "exposure" so.....

I really don't understand people that come in like 1 minute before closing. It's like we opened at 8am and close at 10pm. You've had 14 hours to come in and you choose the last possible minute. It's always the awkward people as well. Like the ones who want a difficult refund or something
I worked the phones for a store and people would call in and ask when we closed. I would tell them an hour before we actually closed, because any person asking that is going to figure out how to come to the store right at closing. They could've looked up the hours themselves - instead they were calling to get tacit permission to come in last minute. People would still get there after what time they were told so it didn't matter anyway.
While working during summer break at a restaurant, we would close the automatic metal gate leaving barely enough for us to crawl under it if there was an emergency, close the glass inner doors and set up a table for us to eat and relax. People would get on their knees on the street floor to poke their head under the gate and ask if we were open or, worse, complain because the had been sitting in the outdoor terrace (the chairs were chained together at this point and the tables bare) but no one had come out to serve them.
As someone who used to work closing [ I work for a store that rhymes with BuBlix ] we had so many people do that we had to go over the intercom to let them POLITLEY know we are closing for the night and our associations [ workers ] need to do last minute shopping

Unpaid internship should be only ok for a certain time, like when school mandates you (in my country) to do 2 weeks of internship in some company, I guess its easier to find some company who is willing to take you in if they at least don't have to pay you, because you won't be very productive in those few weeks.
the second story makes no sense. If there is a noise ban of over 80db why did the mulcher get a pass, plus using the leaf blower is still running. Just cause you can't hear it now it is still over 80db? Also Police do not enforce neighborhood ordnances/covenants Unless it is a city ordnance.
The neighbor likely called about the mulcher (not the blower) only to be told that it isn't included in the noise restriction. Chances are they didn't even hear the blower because of the mulcher being so much louder.
Thank you! The rule was ALL NOISE above 80 decibels. My theory is that OP made it up. It was way too convenient, and no explanation. It was driving me crazy through the whole story.
@@BCFBreakfastClubFan Usually noise things have exceptions, obviously. Some things literally HAVE to be done and CAN'T be done quietly. Most likely the noise ban applies to residential situations, such as leaf blowers. But more commercial and industrial things, like maintenance on your house, can exceed the noise. Like, try building an addition to your house, putting in a new driveway, adding a pool, planting a new tree, fixing your roof, without going above the noise threshold. It's not possible or practical. So odds are the mulcher was an exception to the noise whereas the leaf blower (something you can do yourself with one bought from walmart) wasn't.
Graduate student here.... the thing with unpaid internships is that typically you are receiving class credit in exchange for the experience and training, so technically you are still being compensated for your work.
Some states are more diligent about regulating that than others. Since it's up to the states some like CA require any internship to be arranged and monitored through an educational institution. Others just let you say you're opening an internship and that's that.
Rslash: “How are unpaid internships legal?” Actually they aren’t.But because it’s voluntary (and no one really cares enough to report it) it keeps happening.
@@silverstar1178 Internships by the books are legal, but usually how they actually go about them usually are not. There are limits and extents to what can be done within an internship. A true internship should be (as I recall) part-time, hands-on guided training and education within the field performing work that one would encounter in the field. Things like running for coffee and doing non-job related tasks and personal favors are typically not allowed. These still happen because no one reports any of it or really cares enough.

Like, how hard is it to move put of the way so someone can park their car🤦🏿♂️ some people are just so stupid that I dont even need to see them do something to get mad, just hearing about what they do gets me riled up
As people age, their situational awareness declines. They become less capable of perceiving what is going on around them and what other people's intentions are. This makes them more vulnerable to scams and robbery, and getting into accidents. The lack of perception can also make them unintentionally rude. Calling an unaware old person "stupid" and getting "riled up" about it is ageist...if you don't understand me now, you'll understand someday.
@@MyFiddlePlayer OK, thanks for educating me, I'm always happy to learn and grow as a person but how is that ageist? I think you make a solid point here! I believe that if you are going to reprimand someone, the punishment should fit the crime. Another thing I think is important to keep in mind is punishment should be used to teach the wrongdoer a lesson so they can be better and redeem themselves (some people are just horrible and can’t be helped), like you said.
