Thanks again for another enjoyable video, I wish I had your hands on knowledge and skill when I was your age. I had taken a different path away from vehicles, which was a shame. Cars are more fun to work. Cheers
Really appreciated how you made sure to keep mentioning which tool sizes you using. It really makes working on cars easier when somebody showing you what to do also tells you the socket sizes I find it save me a lot of time to know those things. Thanks for that
little tip with the front caster busher you can use the caster rod as lever to pull the bush from the k frame, then install them long bolt and ring ring spanner.
That front brake line mount just rotates 90Deg (one hand above mount on the line, one hand below) to slide out the hole on the strut rather than destroying it with a screwdriver and hammer 🤙🏻 hope you replace them with Braided lines in the future man 👍🏻
My ball joints split pretty easy, however getting the shocks out of the strut made me question ‘why am I doing this’ if you get stuck get an adjustable gland nut, that’ll get ‘em out.
@@MindieJ I’m doing the same with my VN wagon all the bushes front and back, springs and shocks. It’s not fun but it has to be done. For a nice ride and safety. I hate the car some times but I enjoy it at the same time.
Quick tip for lower ball joint. Remove the castle nut. Flip it over. Rewind it on until it's flat with the top of the ball joint. Soak everything in wd or crc or similar overnight. The next day hit the reversed nut and ball joint combo with a mash hammer. Not a chippys hammer or little hammer. Use a proper mash hammer. It'll pop off second hit gauranteed.
The only thing I don’t like about the Monaro is the stitching should’ve started and stopped with the seats and the biggest issue I have is it’s not mine 😂
Vl swaybars are so shit it’s not funny I wouldn’t waste the time powder coating it better of spending the money on some whiteline swaybars and you will notice a massive difference
shouldn't hammer that brake line clip out, they just twist using 2 hands one top one bottom and slide out every time, done its hundreds of times never had to use a tool, you risk damaging brake line. for ball joint, as last resort always works just use a bit of heat and them hammer to knock it out on the side
you cant really see unless you got a really small head, lmfao , made me laugh probably more than it should of, Thanks Chris - Question: what Merch you got atm?
