Hey Gang! Good to see ya. We've been super busy recently with so many project and our Christmas travels right around the corner! Let's just say it's a hard time of the year to pump out some content, with that being said we've got a neat one today. We're using the original boards from the siding on this house to patch the hole we made for our AC access. This all started as an idea and it turned out better than we expected (and without any hiccups) We're super glad we got to show you a peak at our 3 day bathroom gut and fill, and we're super hopeful that in the future we can tackle something and show you all the details along the way. Something to look forward to I guess! Thanks so much watching and thanks for all your support gang, we'll see ya on the next one!

I hope someday to find a helper like Jordan! Lol. My partner is turning 60 this year so I only got another 5-8 years with him. Though he says he wants to work till he’s 75 lol. Love that guy. But soon I’ll be taking over the reigns and I’ll have to find a helper.

Man! what a difference in production quality. I started watching all Stud Pack videos from the beginning and Dad seemed like he didn't want to do it at all. His voice volume was low and sounded tired. Now, Dad seems very excited and confident! And the video quality with those extremely entertaining music montages with awesome edits are incredible. The energy level achieved during the montages are very high and I can't get enough.

Seeing how your editing has improved makes me glad to know this channel is destined for many more subs (Ive been subbed since around 15k). I work with my dad part time in remodeling rentals we own. Whats additionally awesome is most of your footage is shot on iPhone. I work for Apple retail and use some of your videos showing customers the power of iPhone cameras and how one can get some rad angles/perspectives and shots. Your recent electrical videos are THE best I've found on RU-vid showing up close the wiring on outlet boxes. Keep it up! Fist bump from California. and I smashed that like button!

You folks are the best. The safety and quality you provide your customers are top notch. One suggestion for safety you may want to consider to purchase a Klein 5104 canvas bucket with load rating of 100 lbs instead of a plastic bucket when raising tools and/or materials overhead. Back in the day we used plastic buckets but a couple of incidents occurred when the plastic bucket split and one time the wire handle failed resulting in near miss of someone getting hurt. We went to this canvas bucket and didn't have any incidents. The bucket would probably last you a lifetime. Again, great job guys!!

Jordan, Thanks for showing that cantilevered bridge setup. The first time your dad crawled out and it wasn't extending into the attic, my heart skipped a beat. I was confident you had a solution. I thought it was just a cleat on the siding, but thanks for showing your ingenious setup.

Paul, I'm a retired physician who specialized in worker injury and rehabilitation, not a contractor. You may know that construction injury is second most common only to farming. Please comment on safety harnesses when working at heights and especially when unprotected as in dismantling scaffold. Please show how to rig and anchor safety ropes for working on roofs and at heights. Many may look to your professional guidance in this matter. I have been binge watching your precision construction content and subscribed today. You are so blessed to have your sons with you. You are teaching them to be good fathers and good people in general by your example. I hope your Christmas is filled with family, good food, and the reason for the season!

"structural screws" Yea, I've been using a bunch of GRK screws on my current project. A little bit spendy, but they're great. Easy to drive with their torx head, don't jar things like a nail gun can do, easy to remove, and Code-recognized the same as nails.

Great vid. Nicely filmed and edited! I love building easily removable parts, hoping that I’m the “next guy”, but def making it easier for whoever gets the next job. Magnets, or spring-clips on a piece of baseboard come in handy. Sometimes you have to stuff a refrigerator in there, then add the baseboard after.

Now I know how I can fix my odd sized gable vent, to match the siding around it!!!! What a neat idea, glad to see you guys made it removable. Oddly enough this is exactly why I lost my gable vent. The A/C guys before, who changed my unit tore it all out and hauled it away. I got home from work and had to figure out how to put something back up, they had bought and tried several metal vents, none matched the swaybacked roof line. I lost a closet downstairs but, I don't have to worry about that A/C unit in the attic anymore, but I think I will make my patch job removable just like you guys did. Awesome IDEA! I have been living with a plywood patch with slits cut into it,.

I’d seen attics vented that way at Colonial Williamsburg, VA… As I recall the siding was bent so that the ends were in the same plane at the ends as the rest of the siding. A viable alternative for venting for sure.

3:59 when measuring to the short end of an angle cut, instead of eyeballing where the tape falls, line the short end of the miter up with the end of your chop saw fence, and hook your tape to the edge of the fence and drag it down the material. More accurate then just eyeballing.

Well done. I like the future removal built in. Just a little thinking makes the next guy's job easier. As far as throwing things in the lawn from heights, try to 'send it' nose up. When the nose hits the lawn, it gouges it pretty good. If you can angle the item to land ass first, it won't tear the lawn up as bad.
@y00h0011

Good call on the gable, guys. And it didn't hit the customer for any more material costs. I'm not sure if anybody has ever questioned why Titebond is your go-to glue, but, I do know why. And it's simply that Titebond is better than Liquid Nail.. period! I do know that you use that instant adhesive on smaller and indoor mends/joints, but, the Titebond seemed more practical for that broken board. Live and learn! Great job guys.

I built scaffolds for 10 years and I would highly suggest roping down material with a slip knot and half hitch. If something hits the bottom of that pin and knocks it out while the carabiner is looped through it, it could be game over for someone below or serious property damage.

Paul and Jordan just wanted to give you two some positive feedback on your videos, I have been a short time subscriber about 2 weeks and wow what an improved I watched a few of your older videos and have to give Jordan his props for directing you in really casting your voice to the camera, it makes the world of difference watching plus the enthusiasm comes out. Also, watching you two is definitely one of the major draws with your great back and forth compliments and positive enforcement of the job you are doing. I know this can't be all the time but hey this is all we see. I happen to really think about your camera issue, it might be time to get Jordan's younger brother on that camera so you both can go at it full steam. Either way the video content is exceptional for a Father and Son team. Can't help but feel the bond and compassion you both exude on video. Great job you both keep it up!!!
