Yes, two switches are needed to use the backlight and main lights. You do have the option to not use the backlight and can use one switch. Also, you should be able to connect the backlight wire to the Jeep's parking lights and have them turn on when your parking lights are switched on.

I contacted them and they gave me this answer: "A slight bit of humidity/moisture is normal for any Aftermarket or OEM light, if the fog and humidity/moisture does not go away, at that point in time you would want to start a warranty claim." I have other Rigid lights and this is the first. We'll see how long they last.
