I love listening to you both....when I’m feeling desperate to call or to beg my ex to come back to me, i turn you on that’s when I change my mind. You stress we need to work on ourselves first....how exciting is that! That’s what got us separated in the first place, my low self esteem. That best part is you not only talk about getting g our ex back but also why relationships fail why they failed and how to work on ourselves. Once we work on ourselves we may realize it’s not the ex we want back but to feel better about ourselves. The ex is someone to help fill in the the emptiness. Thank you both for your precious time!

Dear Margaret and Craig, thank you for your excellent videos. These are so interesting and helpful and I can totally pick those parts that are related to me. Even the best parents mess up things with their children that are better corrected in adulthood in order to function better. Parenting is the hardest work in life. Living a meaningful and happy life as an adult may not come naturally for everyone but it is good to know that we can really work on it and help ourselves. Thank you for showing these ways!

I began listening to these videos in February 2019. Coach Margaret and Coach Craig are spot on about these helpful and informative messages. They saved me after my break up. I was so heartbroken and I just started listening to the videos at bedtime every day. Even though I feel better, I still listen to them so I will not forget what they have said. I love the no contact but when I did it he contacted before 3-weeks. He finds reasons to reach out to me. He's in another relationship so I don't know why he is reaching out at all. If I was happy and moved on, why would I call my ex? It doesn't make sense. Maybe make a video on why the ex reaches out and what do they want? Who calls their ex when they''re in a happy relationship. Thank you Coach Craig and keep up the good work and Coach Margaret you're very understanding and helpful.

I am funny, smart, and very caring. I forgive myself for not handling being disrespected like a textbook psychologist would have, and I blew up and got angry one too many times...I did the absolute best I could with the constant criticism of my outfits, opinions, cleaning abilities, and being accused every five seconds of being disloyal. And of course when I got angry, I was told that I was crazy and had emotional problems...smh. Maybe I had enough low self-esteem to stay in that mess because of the guilt I had from a previous relationship, but I’m doing better now thanks to coaches Margaret and Craig. God bless you both

And an evil one!they are frustrated with an evil nature maybe not so clever and tend always to vent their frustrations on other people, generally, with an innocent soul, our skills can in any case always be improved and we can become whoever we wish!!, always believe in urself never feel inferior otherwise there are too many bad people out that can take advantage of our weakness as delinquents mostly pimps, It's really what I have noticed, If u are a good person always say something positive to ur next u can recognize lonely depressed, thanks much!!

Wow the amazing things I am learning from you both! Thank you. I always knew I was a perfectionist (I love drawing and doing art so that makes sense) but I didn’t realise how bad at times it has been.. the amount of times I have hated a grade that is just below the best grade... it’s that bad I didn’t even bother with a whole year of college because I didn’t believe I could achieve the grade I wanted so I didn’t even try and I completely avoided it. I’ve done that a few times in school! If I’m not confident I can do it perfectly or to a high enough standard then I won’t even try it. But that’s not the only thing I learned from this video, I didn’t want to make a massive comment ha ha But I will say an extra bit, I’m worried I’m a victim most of the time, that’s what my ex always says to me when we argue “stop playing victim” (meanwhile he leaves me for another girl, but ye I’m not a victim of his shitty actions? Ok ha ha) I dunno I remember in primary school seeing kids that were upset always made me want to go over to them and cheer them up and play with them, I suppose I assumed others would always do the same for me? (Oh my god that’s weird because it’s how I fell in love with my ex in secondary school... he was always bullied and treated unfairly so I use to try and stick up for him and make him feel better about himself... it’s a very long story) I’ve been waiting to be rescued and looked after for a while I now realise... kinda sad ik. I can see that I behave that way because of my parents always trying to make sure I was happy so sadness always got a response? I hope that makes sense? That’s my take from what you said for myself anyway. I struggle with being independent too. I’ve had kinda low self esteem but I do not remember anything my parents did to cause that? I do remember being bullied in school tho ha ha that school caused me so much grief everyday 😑 but the teasing didn’t come without violent revenge lol I had anger issues 👀 they always found my outbursts funny... something I couldn’t understand because I’d never have enjoyed watching the suffering of another human being 😕 (without reason *cough* *cough* if they annoyed me I’d hit em *cough* *cough* but no, totally didn’t like watching others suffer oof that’s a bit of a contradiction ha ha... in my head they deserved it) wow this comment is long sorry

It's very sad that we have to live with ourselves with the negative words our parents/grandparent have told us all our lives. In my case it was my stepdad and mostly my step grandmother on my dad's side. I remember being told as young as 5yrs old that I was not her granddaughter, that I was going to be a prostitute just like my mom and that I was not wanted nor loved. My step grandfather would sometimes catch her telling me these things and would tell her not to say those hurtful things or treat me any different from the rest of the kids. That it was not my fault whatever feelings she had towards my mom. Of course my mom was not a a prostitute. But because of the things I was told I started to hate my mom, and started having rejection problems, and fear of abandonment in all my relationships growing older. I started to use drugs, and even had suicide thoughts along with suicidal attempts. Now I realize that my problem with my present husband are based from my childhood traumas. We are separated at the moment. One of my biggest fears is my lack of communication. I feel I am going to be rejected, or I am not good enough to be loved. Your workbooks and videos have helped me alot to know where I am at. And have motivated me to get on a healthy path. And has given me hope that I can heal from all this and get my husband back. And even if I don't get him back. I have learned to love myself and heal the inner child in me. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart Coach Margaret and Coach Craig for your work and time put into your videos and workbooks. They really have made a great difference in my life and healing. God bless you both and your families.

How would you handle a guy you are seeing (whom happens to be your ex) whom often talks about hot celebrities or brings up hot celebrities every now and then when they know it makes you uncomfortable. He said it doesn’t bother him. I know that they are celebrities and it’s a fantasy pretty much however, he doesn’t think it’s a big deal. For him it’s not a big deal but how do I talk to him or convey this message that it bothers me and or makes me feel disrespected without starting a fight or seem insecure?

Hi Craig, thank you once again for an encouraging video! I feel that I do have a lot to offer the world and I am offering a lot to the world. I do love myself. I guess I get stuck with not understanding how he can feel that he doesn’t love me anymore. I have been pushing myself to become better by volunteering at my local animal shelter, socializing more with friends, losing weight, and I joined a hiking group which I absolutely love. I feel that I am nurturing myself but the pain still continues. It’s been six weeks of no contact. Prior to that it was about four months of slowly detaching of which I think I was in denial until November. What advice you have for my situation? Thank you so very much! Nicole 1 second ago

My ex said she never gets mad. Well if she ever was unhappy she never showed it. She never told me once in our six month relationship that she was unhappy. She told me her last boyfriend would purposely try to make her mad. Well now I understand why he did that. How do you know if something is bothering someone if they are always displaying happiness. Well the only time she showed negative emotion was when she texted me she wanted to be just friends. She couldn't even face me. Is this fake happiness to hide something else or why do they act happy and never show negative emotion? Then 3 weeks later after telling me she just wanted to focus on herself and not having to worry about a relationship I find out she's in another new relationship. Drives me crazy...lol.

my ex did the same thing. He withheld emotions, information, etc. Never talked about issues. I've realized he has an insecure attachment which he responded by keeping me at arms length and witholding. They never attach emotionally to anyone so that's why they can cheat or move on within a blink of an eye.

It’s like the unconscious is a search drive. If you type “I don’t want to see images of cars”, it’ll end up bringing websites relating to cars and showing images of cars. It is Just like if you tell yourself “I don’t want to visualize a car”, you’re gonna visualize one anyways.

It makes me wonder why would she even come back? As far as she’s concerned, I haven’t done any of the work and haven’t seen any of these videos.

So did I handle this correctly? I was in a group chat of Section Leader for Marching Band. They forgot to add the Color guard Captains. My ex is one of them. After 16 minutes of them being added, my ex reached out to me after 3 months. She apologized and stuff. She said sorry and cleared things up because we both have leadershio roles in the band. But the Section Leaders never talk, plan, or anything, with the Guard. So she never had to reach out and apologize. She could've left it the way it was and we would've been fine. She apologized and I kept it short and said "sorry I was busy. It's ok. I understand. I accept your apology. I'm sorry too." Then she said she was ok now and she hopes I am to and that if we could be cool. I said "of course" And then she said "kewl" I left her on read as that was the end of the conversation and we straightened things out. Then she messages me again and said she unblocked me on Instagram (the only thing she had me blocked on) and that she had to go. And that was that. Did I handle that right?

Another thing that I think can hurt our self esteem is being forced to live up to someone’s expectations. Our parents and caregivers can commonly do that. Yes they want the best for us and want us to progress but only if it fits their beliefs of what we should be and end up as. I’m sorry but I don’t agree with manipulating someone to get them to be successful.
