We Lakers fans remember how he didn’t have surgery on his toe after the 2002 NBA Finals, instead he had the surgery in the beginning of the 2002-2003 season missing many games cause he said it he got hurt on company time, so he had the surgery on company time and the Lakers got off to a bad start under.500 The Lakers didn’t get home court advantage and lost to the Spurs in the 2003 playoffs.
