I guess they are just that type of people, who think that a wedding dress is a fully-white-floor-length-puffy-skirt dress and nothing else. And the bride prefered and only shown a slim, almost skin tight style. It's unique, unusual, exactly what she wanted, and what her "friends" just couldn't get their heads around. Whatever the reason, they had no right to be that rude. And they didn't even give any valid criticism, just "it doesn't look good", "it's a mess", "it's not for you". Like, it would have been understandable, if they had voiced out any actual reasons on WHY the dress is bad, like "oh, the bottom of the skirt is way too big, looks heavy and disproportional", or "the top doesn't fit quite right, isn't it too low?". These are still just personal opinions, people can disagree on those, but that makes it much more easy to understand each other, and there is absolutely no need for throwing out insults
