When I go to my wife's home country she always warns me not to flirt with married women, because they might think I'm serious. I like to make people laugh and this is seen as flirting. Strangely not when I make men laugh though. 🤔

In the same friendgroup there was another girl N, who I then got a little closer to, but nothing happened yet. Then, suddenly X gave me a lot more attention for a while, leaked some topics we talked about to the friend group, as a way to insinuate that I was more interested in her than in N. After that message was sent, she had not further interest in me, and N was quite disappointed in me. At the time I was quite ignorant of what was happening, and it caught me completely off guard.

I am just one guy of course, but I am 35 with no experience with a woman. I have been told twice now by single women and once by my family that no experience basically is a turn off to women as they get older. Instead of their standards lowering a bit as they grow older... they actually get far more picky on stuff like this. They want the guy to be capable of already knowing what to do in a relationship. Is what it is I guess, but such a harsh pill to swallow. I just find the whole thing frickin funny... in my 20s I wasn't making any money, and now that I am secure... my security seems to mean jack crap without the experience, but I was getting somewhat overlooked in my 20s.
