This is the one game ea really can’t afford to mess up. It’s basically ride or die for EA’s Skate.

i’m hoping that it will still have cities and places to skate that are natural spots. like benches, stairways, etc. that’s what gave the games charm. and of course a massive mega park type thing. not just a big sandbox with buildings. i know it’s still in development

The fact that you'll be able to do more techy skating is so cool

I think a lot of people (like me) will have very little interest in building stuff, so hopefully there are plenty of natural spots and related challenges to tackle.

I'm so glad these trailers have as much clips of everyone just goofing around and completely eating it as they do cool tricks and feature showcases. Really captures the spirit of the Skate series.

Will there be a story mode? It was my favourite part of the games, being able to be shown spots through the story and feel like you create a legend for yourself

if this song is in the highlights, could this mean the soundtrack leans towards post punk revival? that would be so fucking insane

I liked the open world of skate and how you could interact with objects like moving around a dumpster or a cardboard box really added a twist to some tricks hope I can see that again

Looking forward to playing this! For me what made the earlier EA skate games amazing was the storylines, missions, characters, character customisations - endless memories playing skate 1, 2, and 3

I'm so excited to play this when it comes out...its already been 13 years since the last one.

One really interesting tweak to the ragdoll/physics settings could be; As you can see, whenever rag doll engages, the character looks like they lose consciousness. However, when someone bails IRL they stay conscious and usually try to cushion their fall by putting their arms out or legs out instinctively. I'm sure there's a really simple way to integrate this feature - even if the characters head stayed looking for the floor, which again is something that you do instinctively so you know when to brace for impact. I think it'll be a small but game-changing addition to the rag dolls feel.

The 180 no comply crooked grind looked AMAZING. I literally shouted out in joy.

I believe the fact they constantly show this much and keep in touch with the community in a PRE-PRE-Alpha is really really promising and is how games should work, working directly with the community and hearing alot of feedback, obviously not feasable for every game but for stuff like skate it definitly works.

grew up on your game. got skate 2 for my 13th birthday at gamestop and remember it like it was yesterday. Love you guys. And as an ambassador of the skate community, charge us at least 29.99 for your efforts and for continued work throughout the games post-release. Take your time with this and please allow some goofy glitches-its what gives the game character!

Wow, honestly no complaints here on how long it’s taking, clearly there’s a lot of effort going into the mechanics and I appreciate it. I’m so excited to play!

Will their be a story line like the last few games where you start as a rookie and get social media followers and eventually get sponsors and new teammates etc ?? I think that would be cool along side this multiplayer open world stuff I think alot of fans liked the whole progression theme from the older skate games 🔥🔥

I totally get that game development takes a very long time .. that’s fine with me as long as this is a skate game we can play for years.. I’m hoping movement doesn’t look so stiff in the final product and that the devs spend some time on textures and lighting… I know it’s a skateboarding game but quality graphics to go along with great physics will have people coming back for years to come. Obviously this has some time to go but I’m happy about that. Let them go at their own pace!

It'd be sick if there was an option to change the way that your skater holds the board like if you wanted to make it so that you're character mall grabs and maybe even like different animations for getting onto the board that you could choose like maybe doing a fingerflip and then jumping onto it could be cool.

i played skate 1 & 2 a lot. after years i can't wait to play skate 4. love the franchise.

To think skate used to be considered the realistic skateboarding game. Now it's the Tony Hawk. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villian.

This is still a skateboarding game right? I've been waiting 13 years for this and so far most of the footage I've seen looks like ragdoll and parkour shenanigans.
