As someone who made a ccr2000 mini bike here's a few tips. That 2 stoke exhaust is restricting it, you need to make a custom pipe for any low end / top end power. Switch to a torque converter, running a clutch requires such a high stall rpm that you'll be ruining clutches fast after good tuning and from my experience these engines run hot, so I have a rich fuel premix.
Nice job! Love the 2 cycle powered stuff. The tuned pipe of the 2 stroke is amazing in how dramatic of a performance enhancement or detriment it can be. Any 2 cycle regardless of size when it has a tune that is working perfect with its intended load will have this anger and rip that is something only a 2 cycle can do. The volume and shape of the chamber is so critical to the displacement and intended power band adding or subtracting any length in front of the chamber can make unbelievable changes in power output. There are a lot of resources online that can help with this complex process. The up side is by getting the right shape and length in that can you will get power gains that would require a long list of expensive mods in the 4 cycle world! Good luck
Finally someone who dosent butcher the dimensions of an existing tuned pipe❤ and who takes pride in their work 👌 very clean build bro you've done a great job on it😁
Well thank you very much for your comment on my welding.I learned from one of the best a guy who worked at the tank plant.we worked together at th road commission.
I found a snow blower in the trash yesterday with a 2 stroke, electric start even! Pretty cool. Runs too, just really beat up. I'll be scrappy it out and taking the engine.
Awesome build, it’s like the engine was made for it. I have a tecumseh 3 horse 2 stroke similar to what you have. Right now I just have it sitting around waiting to go on something. Can’t wait to see it when it’s done.
Good job buddy You do good work. Watching this because I got snow blowers I want to take the motors off and put it on something like a mini bike. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching.
I did the same thing with a toro snow blower, worked good but the stock carb kinda held it back.I put a huge old mcculloch chain saw motor on it and it was really bad assed!
Great inspirational video man! I'm planning on sticking a 69 polaris playmate 164cc 2 stroke in a 1972 Moto Skeeter 350 but need to find a proper engine plate or someone who can make me one. Cheers and keep up the great work!
I did this while ago just so you know there's a difference on cubic inch the smaller ones are about 60 cc's and the bigger ones are 90 cc, you can also swap the top-end from a Yamaha rt100 take some fabricating but it works great
wow what an amazing project, wish i had the skills to this like u, i want to do a 2 stroke dirtbike motor in a minibike! but have no fab skills or friends with any lol
I found a lipstick in the floor board of a car, used it to make gaskets like that, just rub it on the flange and stick some paper or something on it, then cut where the lipstick is not at, wipe off, or use as a template to make more,
Im using the same engine for a build , and having trouble finding a clutch that fits. 3/16 key and 1 inch bore. Anything i order off Amazon even in the description it says 3/16 but theyre all 1/4 inch keyd. What clutch or modifications did you do?
I have a craftsman snowblower engine on my fat cat mini bike, the drive shaft spins constantly while the engine is running. Curious why and what I’m doing wrong. Won’t it melt thru the belt if the bikes not moving?
did you know if you take a harley davidson trans and put it on the minibike that minibike will have 6 speed 2 stroke engine and trans and itll be EXTREMELY fast especially with that expansion pipe on it itll out preform a yamaha YZ250 100% love the build buddy
Like Aaron mentioned below, with a Lathe/mill anything is possible. This engine used a 1" shaft. However the crankshaft is currently being machined down to a more common 3/4" shaft. I will go into more detail in the upcoming part 2 video!
@@CineMotoYTalso can you send a link to the first clutch u with with the 1 inch bore because i ordered one and it came with a 1/4 keyway and i need a 3/16 keyway
35mph is definetly not winning any races lol. My next mini bike build I'm working on will be way faster. It may or may not be a twin cylinder 2 stroke....
Jetski's are pretty junk because the only place you can use them is on the water and no one does really does custom water builds so ykyky. You cannot flow enough water trough them to keep them cool unless it's a huge rad so
