How about Haskell in *Where Silence Has Lease* ? Previously unseen crew member suddenly turns up in Wesley's chair - might as well have a big bullseye printed on his costume.

Deep Space 9, the episode where Chief O'Brian and Garak go to an abandoned Cardassian space station for parts. 4 crew members never seen before are chatting like Regulars, talking about collecting souvenirs and everything. Dead, dead, dead, and dead!

To be fair to Lt. Hawk, the choice was disruptor or assimilation. He ended up getting assimilated and a phaser bolt.

I've always said you could tell the real Trekkies in the audience of the 2009 film, as opposed to the casual fans. They were the ones laughing when the redshirt died

7:00 To be fair, the Senator was dead as soon as Garak was involved. Things went just as he planned them. Except maybe getting decked by Sisco. Maybe.

To be fair, Neal McDonough was involved in two TV series and another movie when he did Star Trek: First Contact. He's too big a star to give an extra part to, but having several lines and going out like a badass are about right. One of my favorite character actors in action/suspense shows, BTW. He does disturbingly psychotic well. Always has a "playing with your food" level of fun being a villain.

13:48 They should have made the hull out of whatever that door is made of. At least they figured it out by the end of Voyager when they made armor completely out of doors.
