Susquehanna Smallmouth with Drew Gregory 

Jeff give the 2 5/8" Yo-Zuri 3DR-X Popper a Test run. Course your Fish are a lot more aggressive than the aloof Fish here in NE Tennessee. Caught lots of Hybrids this Fall when they would start schooling like an hour before sunset. The Yo-Zuri spits a lot of water for such a small bait. Plus it has a semi cupped face so it shots forward more. First time using the 3DR-X there was a "boil" on the surface nearby. Thought perhaps a Smallmouth or decent sized Hybrid. Soon as i hooked up i knew it was sizable. Loosened my drag ASAP since i was using #6 pound test. After about a dozen runs ..... the 16-18 pound Striper was aboard for some quick pictures. Ultra fortunate the front treble hooks were inside the mouth. Rear treble hooks in the bridge of the nose.

I landed my Susky PB last month right where you ended the video. 16.75” on a jackhammer with a 5” jerk shad trailer, smacked it right as it hit the water! Wish I lived closer.. still working on breaking that place down.

As always Jeff love the videos when you follow the Kayak community around. Give people even a bigger picture of what we do. Also thanks for sharing cleanup. I appreciate it. I hope more people sign up for this! I will definitely do more cleanups this year as well.

I think the when people employ the super fast retrieve they'd make it easier on themselves with a high speed 300 size reel with a power handle. I think a Tranx HG does 39 IPT and you can generate a lot more torque with less effort than a smaller reel. Wouldn't give up a lot of casting distance with a 1 oz spinnerbait either.

I usually pickup a bag of trash whenever I’m at innskeep landing on the south fork Shenandoah, 9 out of 10 times it’s not the people launching there that do it, it’s people that come down in there just to toss trash out of their cars. Sad
