I have a legitimate service dog which is a white husky and no she doesn’t lunge at people and she minds her business and works. Its people constantly walking up to her with her vest on that says DO NOT TOUCH, TALK, & NO EYE CONTACT and reaching for her to pet her. She will reach back and give you a warning. A service dog is still a dog. Once it’s trained it’s trained to do those things and doesn’t need people coming up to it to distract it… distracting it can bring out the ACTUAL DOG.

A real service dog, provides as service and usually must be with their person at all times. Personally I don't think this is a service dog, probably more of a therapy dog. A service dog is trained and wouldn't lunge or jump on people. A therapy dog for his PTSD would make sence but therapy animals don't have the same rights as Serivce animals, since they don't have certified training.

@HerrWeberMFT
@HerrWeberMFT 2 месяца назад
@@ThePracticalDog Landlords can request that a potential renter provide documentation to verify the legitimacy of a renter's claim of a service dog or emotional support animal. Otherwise, people will continue to falsify that their animal is a service animal or ESA, which is why they have these laws. Landlords are also permitted to ask for verification that your animal is specially trained for your disability, which can reassure other residents and reduce anxiety that an animal, or dog specifically, is dangerous (which I highly doubt the plaintiff was legitimate, although many people approach service animals, and they should not). What landlords cannot do, or anyone else for that matter, is ask a person to disclose their specific disability and/or provide medical or diagnostic documentation. In addition, landlords must waive any pet-related deposits, but tenants can still be subjected to any damage caused by their animal(s). A landlord may deny a potential renter if the emotional support animal is not a 'reasonable accommodation,' such as a bobcat or tiger. Service Dog and Emotional Support Animal letters can also be written by a primary care physician, a licensed mental health professional (psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, etc.), and a licensed general physician. Typically, a good Service Dog or ESA letter will only include the client's symptoms, the fact that they are receiving mental health services, a medical or mental health professional's recommendation for the accommodation, and any state statutes and Federal law, such as California AB 468, The Federal Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988, etc.

Don't make the judge mad, in a cool way she sided with the defendant even though he didn't have any estimates$250 for the stove and the rest for the cheap floor.😅

So this judge finally has someone who she can explode on for disrespecting her but she doesn’t 🙄 yet I’ve seen her going crazy and exploding on many others who aren’t even close to being disrespectful and rude like this miserable plaintiff. BTW, I hate when people use that excuse “it’s my emotional support dog” when clearly it isn’t. People should be required to have license for emotional support dogs because I worked in retail and I’ve encountered so many people who use that excuse to bring their dogs into the store yet that “emotional support” dog goes barking at people, shitting, and pissing in the store!

Wow... this was the first time I think JM was off her game. She seemed to be thrown by the Plaintiff's attitude and I was surprised she didn't throw him out because he was rude and disrespectful (but I guess she wanted to respect his veteran status).

I used to have a great Dane rottweiler mix. He was 120lbs and tore up my floors to no end. Also trained dogs for wags for tags. I can tell you that every dog we gave to vets were bomb proof, no way any of them would have passed if they even remotely showed aggression.

My rottie is my service dog. He wears his vest when we go into the dr appointments. Otherwise we go into various places for him to give love and affection and be cuddled by people. He only ever has jumped on people at home when he’s on his own property and being a dog. Of course he was young and he got in trouble for jumping to greet a person but it didn’t take away from his good work all his life. He’s a favorite of everyone because he’s not an average breed and his big head and expressive eyes are so loving and easy to hug.

The dog was beautiful; his person, not so much. Definitely not a service animal, though, if he's lunging at people. "All dogs" don't act that way, as the unpleasant plaintiff claimed, and especially not trained service dogs!

"That's your job. To enforce the law." Oh. Boy. That says so much about the plaintiff: That he's a hot-head who can't keep his mouth shut the way most litigants do when they're caught short-handed on evidence. They don't mouth off because they believe they're entitled to have others do their job for them.say

let's get something straight immediately about your veteran comment, i am a veteran...and i totally agree with you. all we did was enlist and get paid just like a regular job. and let's stop this 'thank you for your service' crap, they enlisted, are getting/was getting a paycheck just like most civilians. they weren't forcefully drafted.
