I prefer the slower cuts. Just gives me more time to process whats going on. A lot of times I have these videos open when I'm playing, and I look over when I don't have priority. Then game 2 happened, and it was much harder to follow. Just some input for you.

That Liliana punt in the game against the sacrifice deck. You had no cards in the yard when you targeted Valki with Lili's -3. Of course, the opponent punted as well, not realizing that Valki would have lived.

I love the meme intros, the only suggestion I have is to leave the info card about who to message about them up for longer. I don't think it would hurt anything to keep them up during Seth's intro until the deck tech.

I know it's been said, but I really want a "dusting" system. The joy of watching these kinds of videos is the thought of being able to play those decks ourselves. Unfortunately, the bourgeois among us don't have all the wildcards needed. Ever.

I've been toying with several Dream Devourer decks lately and think Mardu is probably what I'm missing lol. Also, can I get some love for the amazing editing and narration in this video. Well done folks!

I think that pace of editing is a bit too fast. maybe sometimes it can be comfortable but I couldn't keep up. Maybe I'm just used to the old way

The new cuts are good for the most part; one thing i would suggest is that with the way Arena does it's triggers, you *need* to make sure you don't cut out the moment a spell or ability goes on the stack or when a card moves across the screen (e.g. when a card physically moves from the hand, then to the stack, then to the battlefield). There were a few moments where i thought "Wait, where did that permanent come from?" Otherwise i think this style of editing is good for aggro matchups, non-games (mana-screwed/flooded), and drawn out control matchups.

I kinda liked that faster pace on that one match. Maybe it could be something between that and real time, so that it doesn't feel too clipped while also cutting the dead time (e.g: when the opponent is roping or waiting for a spell to resolve).

Love the content and a huuuuuge fan of Tergrid (yasssss she that betrays). Don't understand why in the second match you kept the 2nd Tergrid in hand as opposed to playing it out as the lantern.

1:08:00 - right play was: mythos, get the showdown, draw +3, them play the discard. Klothis is an enchament btw and he has the mardu mana to being able to choose himself.

I feel that in a deck like this you should run snow basics. If your opponent sacs/discards a snow payoff you can benefit from it more this way.

The second match is cut way too fast. I am thinking about turn 2 and the game is already at turn 4. I prefer the usual style and pace. The only things you should cut is waiting for server time and roping time of opponent.

My feedback in regards to the editor's note. Firstly, I noticed some people comment that they like the vids to go slow to analyze Seth's thought process/game strategy. With all due respect, Seth doesn't always take the most optimal lines nor does he flesh out his plays in terms of optimal game theory...which is fine because we're not watching him because he's an elite player, we're watching his content because his brews are entertaining. So respectfully, the people in the comments talking about wanting a slow video pace so they can delve deep into the strategy should perhaps check out a more deliberate and slower player like Reid Duke or Gabriel Nassif. After all, this is an Against the Odds video, not a MPL match breakdown. With that being said, I personally like the sped-up version, but maybe the first match can go normal speed so viewers can get a handle on the deck build and what the deck is trying to do, and then speed up the remaining matches? I think this is the optimal solution, however I also understand that some viewers may find different edit speeds within the same video slightly confusing or disorienting so maybe this isn't a realistic solution. If all the matches within the same video need to be the same edit speed for continuity sake, I think the sped-up version is better because it's easier for someone to rewind a few seconds if they are confused on a game-rule or trigger than it is for someone to watch the entire video 1.25x or 1.5x using the RU-vid setting because it distorts the dialogue pretty bad.

At 1:08:00 I believe the correct line would have been mythos to kill the token kill the God steal the God. Then play accusation expert to get the giant. That ends that turn with the opponent having to chump block tergrid with the last token and only vivian and the saga on the board.

Ok I found my next pet deck. The mythos being possibly playable is awesome

I pulled it off taking every permanent in my opponents deck with Tergrid via the power of Thousand Year Storm, but the fact that it is a MAY ability made the process exceedingly tedious.

It's actually kinda funny but I tried to build a somewhat similar Mardu version of this deck a few days ago and needless to say it didn't work as well as I had hoped.

God, Robber of the Rich had some disgusting hits in these matches. I cannot wait for Eldraine to rotate...

17:45 Discarding to seasoned hallowblade makes Robber not work. Seems like the best option here.

I actually think that Tergrid is FAR better in Abzan, as you can run Eerie Ultimatum to bring back Tergrid + Doom + creatures with etb effects that cause sacrifice/discard, which spikes a ton of power with no chance for an instant-speed response. Also, regardless of whether you are running Mardu or Abzan, you want Elspeth Conquers Death, if only because it lets you resurrect a free Tergrid at the start of your turn, which gives you full mana for discard/sacrifice effects.

„Getting eldrained“ by brushfire elemental and getting outdrawn by the „eldraine card“ Showdown of the skalds. Alrighty then. (:

Valki is pretty good against Rakdos sacrifice deck. Stealing Kroxa on turn 2 and atack on turn 3 with kroxa with some luck cause to surender by oponent pretty often. Didnt think enchantment that draws cards good if you didnt play Yorion + doomforetold and many others cards that good to blink. Probably Yorion version can be beter. I didnt try Yorion version but have one in work. I was trying different version with Snapdax but they didnt go well. From the other side i have 3 pretty good Tergrid deck (All almost mono black but with Tibalt, One contol version, one agro, one historic control). They not ideal but have a nice winrate at this moment for me.

I prefer the old style video speed, the accelerated second match was too fast for me to follow comfortably.

Why not use snapdax? Tegrid with double strike and 4 point lifegain feels like it was made for against the odds.
