I was arrested in 2008 for underage consumption, and Womanizer was playing on the radio in the cop car, drunk seventeen year old me was really excited about that, so I was literally screaming the lyrics and trying to dance but I was handcuffed so it was just a lot of shoulder shimmying, my friend who was in the back seat next to me was really embarrassed. My friend was in full drag, I'm trans, and hadn't had my gender marker or name changed on my I.D. yet so he was real confused. It wouldn’t matter if they had got the money for the songs. You have to get permission from the rights holders before you ca. lay for them. And from the background of this movie they would not have been given permission for their use even if they had the money.

@@gregoryford2532 that would have been dependent on if Daddy Spears would have even been given a say. The rights holders are the ones who have the say. And that typically is the record label/publishing company. Sometimes the artist themselves are the rights holders but those are the expectation not the rule. If Britney her self was the rights holder (which is unlikely) then Daddy Spears wouldn’t have had a say. However he could have used his leverage over the record label/publishing company to deny the rights.

We made a stop at Disney on our honeymoon in 1999. They had a stage set up in MGM studios with a sign that Brittney Spears would be performing. We waited a bit with maybe 10 other people. We had NO idea who she was and couldn’t tell her apart from the backup dancers. We watched for a few minutes and we wandered off. Then she BLEW UP shortly after. 😂

My dad worked for the jimmy fund when I was a kid, we went to a Britney Spears concert with Doug Flutie in a big stretch limo and went in through Britney’s entrance and got to spend time with her. *It was the most terrifying 30 minutes of my entire life* An awkward 8 year old chubby girl with a mess of butterfly clips in her hair being spoken to directly by such a goddess was way too much for me and probably for Britney to handle. It’s been said that I’m the reason for her downward spiral. After she had children she had a Raven Symone flashback of me and became consumed with the thought that her kids could turn out as weird as that little girl she had to be in a room with that one time.

I’m SO GLAD you covered this train wreck, I almost want to say I suggested it after I watched it. I was horrified. Why doesn’t Jamie Lynn age throughout this whole film?
