Sailing will one day be the thing that grows osrs... As in a new map.. You sail to places that are totally different And over time new islands will be created... Expanding the game exponentially
I don't care about like 99% of this stuff, but I really don't understand how being able to have multiple clue scrolls would be over powered. I genuinely thought that was how the game worked for a long time tbh. They should implement a system where you get "unopened clue scrolls" as drops and then when you open one you can't open any more from that tier scroll that way you can't do multiple clues at the same time but you also don't need to stop what you're doing every time you get a clue.

If you want a game with RS3's mechanics and design decisions, then, rather than playing Oldschool RuneScape, which has a community mostly made of players that quit RS3 to get away from RS3 mechanics and design decisions, it would be more conducive for you to play RS3 than try to turn OldSchool into RS3. Also, how are you calling other people "no brain" when there's literally a game with all the things you want and you're choosing to play the older, "worse" version of it that you don't enjoy? go play rs3
@@apasserby9183 The reason people quit RS3 is because the MTX and EOC. 2008-2012 RS was the best era of RS with great quests and updates to the game. OSRS isn't getting any of those updates because of the mentality, you guys scream and burn down everything if a update increases the exp/h by 1k.
Yeah, it would have been a great addition to RC - I'm pretty sure most people also argued that point tho; that the things they were proposing were great, just not needing a new skill when Runecrafting is so damn useless as is.

I imagine it could of been pretty good. Maybe even stabalize the market and add value to old items if it worked similar to invention. Only real thing to spend money on is new items when they come out. And if your maxed and don't pk or stake the gp just piles up.

Exactly, people are so worried about power creep but they fail to consider how difficult it must be to add new content to cram inti the skill and item levels we have rn
Part of the reason I quit OSRS. They'll literally nerf shit that's been in the game for awhile, and then release "new content" that's pretty much (or even worse) than what the nerf shit was before and then call it a day lmfao. Rinse and repeat, and I wouldn't doubt if they somehow decide to nerf GWD armor so that they can add "new armor."

I'm pretty sure that the reason that the offhand melee weapon failed was because it was literally just a buff to the dragon warhammer. There was basically nowhere else it would have been useful
i think players just want their time in this game to mean something. like why grind hundreds of hours getting bandos armour, or doing tob for the avernic just for them to release even more op items that you have to grind for again. rather i like what they did with certain items like the avernic where it will just attach on to your already in game dragon defender. or cerberus's crystals or the guardian boots. stuff like that is cool where it basically upgrades gear that was already in the game. they need to add more stuff like that locked behind tough/fun bosses, that wont take away from the grind already in the game.
I play on a private server that actually has the divine spirit shield in it. The shield sells on the ge for a little bit less than an ely and 9/10 time people take an ely over a rivine because of the rate it drains your prayer

You're mostly correct about the Divine, it would not have seen any more use than the Elysian does. It wouldn't be preferable in scenarios like GWD where the prayer drain over the course of a 2 hour trip is going to add up to a lot of wasted Prayer for little actual benefit, it wouldn't even extend your trips, it would actually shorten them since the factor that normally decides when your trip ends is Prayer. The Divine would mostly be a shield for the Wilderness, and I could see it being used to carry players through solo or duo CMs or ToB, as well as Inferno.

Wouldn't mind seeing those potions and divine shield polled again, only the potions requiring 99 to create. Would be nice to have perks for getting max levels instead of just a cape.
Let's not forget - the Vesta's Longsword was an "Integral" change to the game. It was absolutely necessary for the continued improvement and health of the game. /s

Some interesting things they could implement with raids 3 could give an untradeable item way to upgrade barbarian potions to 2 dose super prayer/super stamina/extreme att str def magic ranged etc that also have the healing effect barbarian potions usually have, this would give barbarian potions a niche but also keep these potions only avaliable to players who can finish the raids. It could also include item sink high level prayer scrolls that take so many typical PVM items and $$ to get an NPC to agree to "translate" them for you which might include Soul-split lite, enhanced protect item that allows you to choose priority of items saved upon death, Enchanced Redemption that can be activated without overhead prayer and teleports you to your respawn instead of healing you, and also an enhanced version of retribution that activates every time the player loses 25 hp or more with the prayer up (still an overhead), a prayer that increases the power of Arceus spell effects, a prayer that increases damage to all undead, vampyres,abyssal creatures, and lizardmen
Thank you polls! In all seriousness they help give the player base input. The saddest one that didn't pass would have to be between the sailing skill as it could have gave more reason to do exploration or the warding skill as the item sink could have helped with the economy of the game.
WHAT THE HECK. Sailing would have been so freaking cool. Ship combat would have been awesome, or even clan ships?? There are so many mechanics that can be at play there. Hiring a crew and letting them do fishing for you in a similar mechanic to farming. Direct ship to ship combat, Fighting pirates, fighting a leviathan or sperm whale, PvP, “Island wars” like castle wars but instead of controlling your character you control a ship and try to take control of an island…. Idk man those are some of the ways it could work.
Divine is substantially better than the elysian in many situations where you need food, since brews heal a max of 16 and restores can heal double that. There's a reason it didn't make it's way into the game. Also judgement could be used in between prayers for off tick melee and dwh specs. It was also pretty op
In the old way rs was played, face tanking everything yes, nowdays nearly all dmg is completely avoidable which removes the usefullness of divine as hp is self sufficient anyway
Glad to see all this unnessecary pvm power creep being avoided. My endgame rs3 account from 2014 would barely even be considered mid game in 2020. no reason for that to happen in rs3

Thank you polls. Let's be real OSRS won't get most content updates. 1) High lvl PVM can get boring real quick if you don't like raiding. Solo bosses are fun but depending on the time that you are available to play most worlds would prolly be full or you would get crashed by a group of players. 2) New skills won't pass because of "muh nostalgia" Warding was a good idea that could've given us cool new magic armor sets. Smithing could be updated so that we could make cool tank armor with it being a kinda worse version of barrows armor so that barrows armor still has a use. You didn't get the tank legs that you need for a boss fight? Just make your own and get barrows later when you have the GP to buy it! Range armor has the same armor but color shifted until you get to crystal or armadyl armor. Magic armor is litteraly; Nothing > Mystic > Ahrim > Ancestrals. And prayer armor is good imo since it is used to afk less engaging content like slayer. Plus the dev team is way too slow on making new stuff for the game, the last BIG PVM update ( that uses non recycled content) was TOB. Oh wow Hardmode Nightmare lemme just do the same stuff that I did at normal nightmare but faster and I get hit a bit harder. In general ""HARDMODE / CHALLENGE MODE"" means do the same sh!t you did at normal mode but the bosses have more HP and nothing new happens.
Korasi Sword was definitely too busted back then because it was a quest reward, but I'm pretty sure PvP people denied that because even if it passed and became an extremely rare item, it would change the PvP meta drastically. Divine Spirit Shield seems pretty busted to me as a slight percentage increases can lead to major shifts as well. I never used it in RS2 because I was too poor to afford one. I feel like this would've been an expensive Bulwurk honestly. Warding Skill looked really cool the third time around but the nostalgia got a hold of most people and kept denying the skill. I would've loved to see the skill develope and actually have more Diverse armor for Magic. IMO, the Vestia weapons should stay in Deadman Mode just to hold back the Power Creep just a little longer. Also we do need a reworked Bounty Hunter.
Yeah, it’s a real shame people are so against a new skill in OSRS. To me, this game is no longer the proper Old School experience. It has completely changed since 2013 and become its own game, just with enough nostalgia kept intact. I don’t think a new skill would ruin that.
I really don’t know why the melee offhand failed the poll. It wouldn’t have replaced the defenders as best in slot items. It was only going to provide accuracy stat but no defensive or melee strength stats. I guess maybe people were afraid they would have to carry this offhand for the dragon warhammer spec attacks? Like use this when you spec and swap back to the reg defender after
Thank you polls, sad to see some good content being denied such as potions for high level players, warding and new off hands. The new potions that combined super combat, range and magic potions would have been great for a money sink they would have been a very expensive item that wouldnt change KC at bosses by too much, maybe 1-2kc with a extra inventory slot for food.

People who complain about the lack of content don’t have an inferno cape, don’t have a max cape, and barely have any PVM boss kills above 100 or if they do are the brain dead ones. Usually these players don’t even have a quest cape or unlocked all diary achievements. The complainers are the one that get tired of grinding at Lv.90 and want something new b/c they hate how slow their progress is. They want something new to feel like they are doing something with their account.
Rlly random but I still want the “phasmatys green” skin colour from 2016 hween event. passed a polled, was promised in a dev blog, and it never made it. I rlly miss when all the alternate skin colours were more Halloween themed, it was the perfect one imo.
I like that they've been taking ideas they've had with Warding and incorporating them in other ways at least, which may be part of why some people think it didn't need to be a new skill. Like the way Bloodbark and Swampbark are created now seems to make a lot of sense within the game as it is now without needing a new skill for it.
The fact that they never put Divine into the game is mindblowing. It's not like people will use it everywhere and the prayer drain is way too high. We do not have summoning either so yeah... Missed chance. Thank you 25.1% majority.
Indeed. Bring back the void knight quest line & Korasi :( challenging boss fight and nice reward. If they're that scared it would 'ruin' pvp lock it behind a quest point requirement or something. I remember a lot of people enjoying it in rs2 pvp when it was just released.
Warding failing - would of been the only integrity change that I prob would accept. It makes no sense to have crafting skills that make item sets for combat styles except magic...
With the very first poll I can understand. You dont have to kill the skeleton. Or at least you didnt when I first did the quest. Take the skull and run while its spawning lol
Those first three polls show how terrible polling can be, literally no reason to vote no to those things. Honestly i'd have liked to see most of these updates, excluding clues scrolls/partnerships, and neutral opinion on potions.
