Can't believe I survived both cholera and Unknown Ailment (tm) only to drown in 3 feet of water. Rip me. For real though, thanks for letting me join the wagon party! Wish I could've been there to watch it happen live, but I'm laughing just as hard a couple days later 😆 (Edit: i'm fuckin wheezing at the chat saying to bury my shoe/wait for me to wash up/I lost the will to live because of no bacon hskjgzdffggffg)
I love Oregon Trail II. I remember the playthrough I did where I loaded up with literally everything I could and got stuck on the edge of the first city. Threw out everything I could to get moving but as I'd had too many wagons and not enough draft animals, I couldn't go. In the end I threw out everything, clothes included, except for whisky. Thus my wagon party just sat naked on the edge of town and got drunk until the game auto killed everyone. Just like the pioneers.
I've never done anything quite like that before, but I have lost the last person in my party out in the middle of the California desert. Everybody else was dead, and he was missing. So now in 1860 there's a band of lunatics shouting all day, every day at a wagon of oxen wandering toward Fort Churchill that "you've been fired!".
Ah, fellow unfortunate traveler! I love how we were basically both the running jokes of our wagon parties. (But hey, at least Ian didn't forget you existed 🤣)
Oh this is going to become my new stream to comfort watch, I can feel it in my bones. I’m a simple girl. Seeing this upload has been a dream come true.
It was almost like a speed run of the game at the end; the objective was to "continue as usual" as fast as possible. I literally was crying at one point that was so funny
Oregon Trail 2 is probably my favorite edutainment game and every sound takes me waaay back. Even the YEEEEHAW from the launcher. Also the music when you have to go up or down a steep hill used to scare me for some reason.
thank-you THANK-YOU for archiving your streams! My internet is not always up for supporting livestreams, and your content is just so enjoyable, i'm glad I get to watch them!
Thanks Ian, still love you even though you butchered my favorite childhood game by buying hundreds of pounds of bacon and then selling it for $5 and trying to leave with 2 oxen on an overloaded Conestoga wagon.
@@kritsadventures I feel the pain. I would say I play OTII almost professionally, if anyone actually considered it worth mastering. Ever done horse trading to make money?
I think the one I played the most was Oregon Trail 5. We played an older one when I was little, and I'd get so upset. We played as family and mom and dad put our actual ages and such, and I would die because I was the littlest. It was awful.
Your streams bring me immense joy in times of stress and darkness, not just for me, but all your viewers. These streams and videos perfectly persevered on the Internet, are timestamps that we can always return to when we need some fun... and maybe some Ian sas too ;p
Holy shit I thought mass buying pounds of bacon instead of supplies was just an in-joke with my dad and brother when I was younger, seeing people in chat demand only bacon made me so happy.
Since this video came out this is the only thing my Great Dane will watch in the morning. If I put on anything else he whines. So in short I've seen this a fantastic amount of times.
Your review of Oregon Trail 2 was the first Brutalmoose video I ever saw. Crazy I've been watching for 7 years now. Thanks for uploading these streams. 😀
I'd love to see you play the Oregon Trail Delux version someday. It's the one I grew up playing and while it still uses pixel art, it is some very distinct and memorable PC pixel art and imo is the best way to play Oregon Trail overall.
Well, it was a fun vid. I don't see a lot of Oregon Trail 3, so it was a novelty! These games are so over the top and full of stupid drama sometimes. I love them. I kind of regret not knowing them when I was a kid - I would have been so bad but still would have had good memories I'm sure.
Anything over 2 and a half feet you caulk the wagon and float. Otherwise you'll get swamped. I play this game so much. I do tons of trading at the beginning and trade my oxen for money to buy even more oxen. And I use the skills tab too
Hey, I discovered your content just recently after years of just.. seeing your videos but not watching them. Now you’re all I watch and my fiancée enjoys your content too. :))
I’ve played the first Oregon Trail was I was young. I haven’t played the second or third, I’m glad you played them. I missed most of the stream, but I’m also glad I can see it here on RU-vid.
Oregon Trail 2 was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. Huge nostalgia trip watching this, iAN. Thank you for playing, and RIP to my old computer lol. On a totally different note, one of my friends says that you and I look nearly identical haha.
I definitely got to say the second generation game is definitely better than the third. Especially the music, holy shit the second generation game has got some awesome tracks
24:23 I like how iAN accidentally chose _baker_ instead of _banker._ He's still loaded with dough, just not the kind he was hoping to have, huh? ...Yeah, I'll see myself out.
the mention of his everything is terrible beanie made me so sad that they're not selling that one anymore, im gonna start searching for one being sold secondhand, i dont care if i have to pay like 100 dollars i really want that beanie now
1:07:43 did we get help from the notorious Nicholas J Tillman? Who’s on the third installment of this game. Last time Ian Picked him we had to hear about him and his “ Wife” Anna. Who loved her sketchbooks.. a lot. Lol
What operating system is he running these games on? Windows 98? Also does he have an actual computer with that operating system or is he using an emulator?
