If we play around with the club face we will find the ball flight we want. We need a good release and a good finish. Here is how to do it…
Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.
Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.
I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers.
We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of legends that are often misunderstood.
We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.
Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV. Be careful when you watch a golf swing in slow motion. The result isn't always what the golfer is trying to do. Feel and real are seldom the same.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

Retired at 62, and have spent 4 years trying to "rebuild" my swing. Practice daily at the golf course range. Watched too many videos on flat left wrist, holding lag, delay release, and other ways to tear up my body. And I ended up with a fade (always played a draw for years). So I too your advice on the in-to-out swing, and started hitting draws this week. Got rid of the heel strikes (shanks), and am hitting my irons in the center of the club face! Gained my distance back, and basically wasted 4 years trying to build a perfect swing. I like your teaching methods so much better, and they WORK!

He’s solid. Got lucky cuz somebody at a golf course mentioned him. I would always do Danny maude and clay Ballard. Good guys but Marcus gets to the heart of the matter in an easy to follow way.

Damn! I've been watching video golf tutorials/teachings/instructions/lessons/advice for _literally_ years! Reading golf books, magazines, ad nauseum for even longer. _Never_ have I ever received a 6 minute golfing gold tidbit like this one that has absolutely changed the proper management and trajectory of my golf game! Where have you been all my life! LOL! Well done, mate!

This is the type of critical information that pretty much all golf instructors leave out…. Thank you Marcus for actually teaching us what so many seem to neglect to tell us (or even dare I say don’t want us to know).

Been playing golf for the last two years and I was getting progressively worse !! Spent hundreds on lessons and I was still slicing the ball no matter what I did . I started watching your videos and they instantly made sense im a big guy like yourself 6 foot 2 and about 230 lbs . I can now hit my 7 iron 190 yards with ease and I can draw the ball every time !! I don't even think about my swing anymore I just worked with what I had and now I use my hands and arms a he'll of a lot more seriously thank you so much Marcus ❤️ hands down the best golf teacher on RU-vid I wish I would have come across him sooner 😂

Marcus. I am 75 I’ve played golf since I was 45 years old when I started golf. A year ago I had a back operation just limited me from hitting 260 metre drives down to at least 190 metre drives I’ve been struggling to try to get my distance back. I decided to use your swing in the vets tournament today first hole I hit the ball 3 fairways to the right ( ps I’m a right hander). I thought to myself so embraced Oh my God whatever have I done. But by the time I had played 9 holes I was hitting drives with a slight draw from maybe right hand rough into the middle of the fairway no longer 190 they where reaching 260 metres. (I play off a 10 handicap) and hit a 78 off the stick 71 nett course. I haven’t done this for a few years I’m hoping I can carry on with your swing it’s so easy to slip back into the old safe swing. but I enjoyed hitting it Long again cheers. Trevor New Zealand

Hi Trevor. Glad it went the right way in the end. It will take time to sort out your new stock shot but the struggle is worth it. Keep going and remember that the harder we struggle the bigger the reward is in the end. 💪

Dear Marcus, guided by ur videos, I have joined ur followers and am also in the middle of a swing change. I strike the irons beautifully. Woods are so so, but driver is a nightmare. I hit the ball on top of the clubhead, trying to mirrow ur high tee approach (around 2 balls above the gorund), but I cannot get it done. I also don't want to cheat and decrease the tee hight to like half a ball above the tee (that works well). Please share ur wisdom: Shall I cheat and decrease the tee height or maybe artificially tilt my upper body more to the back? Thank and all the best!

Hi Frank. You are a pretty normal golfer. You rapidly find it with the shorter clubs but the longer the club becomes, the bigger the struggle. It's all timing and low point. When you hit a sky ball the club is most often on a downward path and low point is to close to the ball. Watch this and you will make good things happen: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YQicyxSJjTA.htmlsi=mnhOxvJTIqoQGrz- YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Hi Eddie. It's not an age thing. I have 75 yo student that swing there driver 70 mph and I have others that swing 105+ mph. I see a huge variation in all ages and it's mostly a result of there training history. Everyone can become faster and stronger.
