So context for when they were discussing having seen Brazen Bull in the Mirror Dungeons before but not as a fight - Brazen Bull was able to be encountered as an E.G.O Gift encounter in Mirror Dungeons before Canto IV, but it only became fightable after it's appearance in Canto IV as a boss.

Like it's been mentioned, this Canto is stuffed with filler fights but thankfully the pacing is tightened up by Canto V. Very good moments ahead of you in this Canto though, looking forward to seeing it!

I think the use of 'Bloke' is more that Heathcliffe is a terrible influence on Dante.

note that there is a in story date for each canto . and in some cantos it changes . it reflects partially the irl time an time skips , it is implied they dont always go from one job to another instantly . the first 3 cantos are all spring . yi sangs canto is about summer time . they clearly first intended to mirror ingame time more with ours but because of complications that isnt always the case . fun fact they planned to bring initially limbus out at christmas . so at sinclairs story . but ended up releasing february insted .

For your information, you don't need to have Kurokumo/Blade lineage ids in your team for the scabbard bonus to apply, the bonus will still apply even if they are on standby

Mexiclair is a dodge tank. With awful speed and no aggro so he's awful at his job of taking clashes. And poise is basically nonexistent on his kit. Use Cinq Outis instead.

A small note that might help you out for this Canto- getting Captain Ishmael to level 36 will completely remove her negative sanity mechanics until Canto V. She's one of your best units at the moment, but her sanity gets wrecked if she's not getting kills.

And so it begins. I´m impressed that you immediately picked up on K Corp´s... odd behavior so far, surprisingly few do, and even less actually like Samjo XD. Also 7:18 those three things are there because Cantos 4 and 5 where released in 3 parts, with a new part releasing every week and those buttons immediately send you to the start of parts 1 2 and 3 respectively so you don´t have to scroll around. You get the event currency bonus for just having them in your team, you don´t have to actually use them in battle. Also when fighting Abnormalities, Target Health Threshold abilities like BL Outis´ 3rd Skill and Captain Ishmael´s 3rd skill use abnormality Part HP instead of their Total HP, which is the main reason that those are the go-to for high damage since most Abnos have parts that once broken remain targetable and at 0 HP and thus give you the maximum bonus damage permanently. Twinhook, Cinqclair, and Captain Ishmael are the best IDs you currently have so i would personally say to Up4 those, Cinq and Seven Outis are also very good. Though since you´ll be putting KK Greg on the bench for the event currency bonus he´s gonna be way lower on the Up4 priority list than the others. Anyway, good luck in Canto 4 Manager Esquire!

Railroad is pretty simple premise. Sinners go in, boss rush happens, and walk out with a large cache of assorted resources. Canto 4 takes place after Line 1, before Line 2. Line 1 was mainly a rehash of canto 3 bosses (including Kromer), with some new abnos, that'll appear in lv40 pride and envy thread luxcuvations, and as a possible floor 5 boss of Mirror Dungeon Hard.

I can't express how happy I am that someone is willing to spend the time grinding this. I don't want to risk having another gacha game obsession, but PM writing is peak. Not to mention that foreman is a great host despite his occasional fumbles.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that you should reserve the tier lists for the end of cantos. Canto 4.5 is more so Ishmaels prequel so it’ll be a little weird to judge her based on that AND yi sangs canto. Plus without any spoilers characters do tend to change and grow after their cantos so it would make more sense to judge how they’re doing during their own canto and afterwards separately.

In case it's not obvious enough. All of the stuff that you're confusing about like: dante only meet the bull in mirror dungeon while you actually fought it, heathcliff mentioned railway when you haven't unlocked it yet,... They are all new updates that haven't impermeant/change yet during the writing of this canto. The bull was never a boss until canto 4, the first railway event started before canto 4, your current update is railway 3 which demands you finish canto 5 (i believe) Basically, the writing of canto 4 is targeting the players who played the canto when it was just released, not to the newcomers like you. I guess it's they were short-sighted when they included lore that doesn't make sense in future updates.

To clarify, abnormalities somewhat suffer from sp effects. They will take Gloom damage instead. So affects like Sinking is basically gloom damage on abnos.

Personally, for Dante's notes, I recommend option 3. Do them off-camera. They are cool, yes, but they're kinda supplementary information that would be cool for you to read sooner than later and I think doing a video on them would make you less overall interested in them. I reckon you should read them in your own time, without feeling like you have to make them into content.

The bonus for the blade lineage/ kurokumo unit can be use when they aren't participate in battle and borrowed id does give bonus

Those 3 tabs at the top of the Canto 4 Map were from back in the day when it was first being released. It was released in 3 parts over the course of the first few weeks of Season 2 iirc. I'd say KK Greg is alright, he has pretty nice support capabilities, especially if you pair him up with the N Corp team for Bleed stacking and with NHeath in partichlar for Plus Coin Drop stacking to make clashing easier for the notoriously bad clashers that are the 00 N Corp IDs and Guidosault (also, Middle Little Brothersault can synergize well, with Bleed and Plus Coin Drop, and running Middle Don also shnergizes with her Bleed skills, tho NHeath needs 4 N Corp allies for his Uptie 4 buff, but he's not the main star is he~?). Of course, any team with NClair in it is viable tbh. Speaking of, NClair is definitely a great pick for this Canto in particular at its midpoint. Uptying BL Yi Sang I'd say would be pretty neat, especially since it is his Canto rn. His clashing becomes a lot more viable at that point, getting Coin Power for every 5 Poise Count, tho still kinda reliant on his +5 Offense Level on his Skills to gain more Clash Power when he doesn't have Poise Count. BL Don would definitely be beneficial, considering thw fact she gives Poise to allies, tho she needs to crit for that to happen. Overall, shaping up to be a great journey~ Lots of Event currency to be had for sure~

Canto 4 have the most headbang inducing music to this date, you're in for a ride

I love Canto IV way more than anything that came before in the story, but this start does remind me how much of it is bloated with random combat nodes. As others have mentioned, this becomes better later on, and Canto V for sure is better paced combat wise, in fact it's generally better when it comes to both the amount of fights and how they actually pose a real challenge. Despite that, the climactic fights and obviously the narrative of Canto IV are PEAK, so I just hope you don't get too annoyed by the parts that drag on!

The Brazen Bull is based on an old real-life torture and execution device. A person was put into the brass bull and a fire lit beneath it, slowing cooking the person inside it to death. The shape of the thing also caused their screams from the inside to echo so they resembled bovine noises.

So for the event reward, you just have to have the featured id in your team for it to count and you don't have to really use them in combat. Also, the max bonus are 120% so even if you have more id in the team, they won't give you more event reward

Wanted to add this but the reason the brazen bull has a person inside is because the abnormality is based of the bronze bull, a torture method in which a person would be placed inside such a bull made of bronze and then they would lit a fire underneath, burning the person inside alive

You don't need to actually have the event boosting characters in your team to get the loot bonus, all you need is to have their slot filled with that character. You can bring anybody else you want into the actual fight, you don't need to level them up or uptie them if you don't actually plan on using them lol.

So the Railway is *different* from Mirror Dungeons because it's replaced every season rather than just updated, and each one always requires beating the newest Canto to unlock. The fact we can't play previous Railways even though they're canon is one of my bigger complaints

you can also spend threads to upgrade EGOs, which is referred to as 'threadspinning'. The max threadspin is 4, similar to uptying. Blind Obession Ismael threadspin 4 is particularly good.

You should focus on a status like bleed or poise to farm md faster once you unlock more of the buffs for the ego gift fusions, and yes, try and finish canto 4 as it is the longest and very text heavy later.

I really love the story of this canto but man I hate how many filler battles there are this chapter felt like it took forever. I'm glad canto 5 fixed those issues.

they were talking about the 1st refraction railway by this point, but yeah, everything is canon, this is a project moon game after all, an you have encountered abno's you haven't fought in the mirror dungeons, those little events which are just make a choice and pass a skill check, those do have abno's you haven't fought yet in them, like the old man staring at a painting, which is an aberration of the old lady

Believe you can find the introduction cutscenes and such for the Railway and other side content in the Theater window. Those should unlock as you progress through the parts where they were introduced into the game. It's a real shame you missed RR2 though, it was a much more enjoyable experience than either RR1 or RR3 so far personally. Also, you really do have some awful luck with your pulls... Be sure to grab BL Don from the event by the way, almost certain she is not in the event banner.

Okay, so you don't actually have to use them in a fight for the bonus scabbards. Putting them in the bench or as a support aka selecting their ID but not actually using it in combat works fine.

My condolences to you for pulling Jefe Sinclair, that ID is so incredibly boring and badly designed 🙏

Heads up, this chapter is rather lousy with filler fights. This chapter is pretty nice, but that's a major drag when it comes to this chapter... Anyway, ID review! Los Mariachis Jefe: Ass. Los Mariachi Sinclair is, to put it very bluntly, atrocious. His S1 and S2 have crap values unless he's on a sinking team, and even then they only become average. Speaking of Sinking, that's this Identity's gimmick, which would normally be fine if not for the fact that Sinking is, similar to Bleed or Rupture, a status effect that requires Count to be any good due to it being used every hit. Mariachi Sinclair inflicts exactly 1 Sinking Count in his entire kit, and hits several times. Normally Identities like this would have a really good S3, but even that's dragged down by the fact his S3 rolls a 19 and not the usual 20+ that's customary for single-coin S3s. The only good he has going for him is the Evade, which is above average and gives some Poise Count, but... why would you ever use him over someone like Cinqclair or N Clair?

Just so you know, brazen bull is one of the worst bosses in Hard Mirror Dungeon.

I also want to point out people are only pushing the gender neutral Dante stuff because we haven't got an official bio for him and the Korean language doesn't refer to people the way we do.

Oh boy Canto 4. Time for 7 thousand filler fights, but it’s super worth it in the end and they don’t make the same mistake in later chapters. Some other RU-vidr I watched did something fun during Canto 4 because there were so many fights which was trying out a new ID every fight from the support tab. You could try out a bunch of IDs and see which ones are cool and which ones you’d like to go for, you have plenty of friends to have basically every ID available to you. Could be fun if you want. Anyway have fun with Canto 4 you’ll love it by the end
