Looking at this is just another nail in the coffin of 'The Art of Film'. You make it easy to notice the writing is at the same level as the visual presentation - Made for TV. Sure, it's very expensive TV but the framing, constant close-ups, etc. are all features of television and the smaller screen. Where are the sweeping epic shots? Not just a quick cgi punch-in, but those long shots where an actor would enter and the scene would unfold while the screen was full of scenery or the others sharing the location. I just realized the vibe was Batman Forever.

Oh, fucking Ocarina of Time water level. I think I'd blocked that from my memory.

I bet this is better than the actual movie.

Honestly the fact it sucks is made worse by wasting a good villian. Daughter dies, a god won't bring her back, gets pissed while corrupted voice in his head says to kill him then goes mad and decides to kill all the gods due to the corruption and his dead Daughter then snapping to reality and getting back his daughter. Good idea too bad they wasted it and couldn't write a simple villan like that.

I still hate the Lady Thor thing. First off, you can't just take his name. "Thor" isn't like "Iron Man", it's not a moniker or title, it's his literal name. Second, Thor is not as weak as a 120-pound woman who gets all of his power from Mjolnir, so a 120-pound woman getting Mjolnir will not, therefore, be as a strong as Thor. That would be like a gun shooting further when someone else fires it. But more than that, there was an entire scene of Odin mocking/teaching Thor by asking him "Are you the god of hammers?" to prove to him that Mjolnir wasn't the source of his power AT ALL, it was just a tool, but I guess Jane IS, in fact, the god of hammers, as "hammer" is literally all she has? Also, why didn't said hammer re-assemble itself when it was broken, instead of years later? The whole thing is frustrating and also just strangely unnecessary; we had an entire realm of Asgard, tons of gods, we've had some badass women already, there was no need for Thor to upstaged by his ex using his own weapon better than he could--oh, I guess that's why it was "needed."

I liked What we do in the Shadows movie that Taika guy did a lot. It's like The Office but vampires.

After the origin story, or Batman:The Desert/the best scene from Batman vs. Superman, the movie was utter crap. Swear it was two different directors. Like Tyco replaced the original guy who could actually make movies. Also, the goats. The freakin goats. You just don't know man. Great vid as always.
