"Legging's Legs" is the most braindead thing I've ever heard. Got legs? You can wear leggings. Period. - FOLLOW ME: instagram: halohayleys tiktok: halohayley -- Thanks for watching!
"Leggings legs" should actually be when the leggings match your skin tone too well and from a distance it looks like you have nothing on. That's the real leggings problem lol.
I hate it when I see like a kid with leggings or tiny shorts that make me do a double-take cus I'd be so afraid they're just bottomless- I mean if they want to wear it, they totally can, I just feel confused when I see it lmao
I don’t think tiktok having a higher age limit will stop young people from downloading it, I mean, youtube us a 17+ app and there’s still millions of kids on here. Edit: RU-vid is 17+ in my country. in others it may be different. Sorry for any confusion.
@@72_rush No one who’s 18+ needs their parents to give restrictions on their phone. Also by the age of 16 any teenager would want boundaries. Some are understandable and some need to be earned. However, you as the parent need to learn and come to an understanding about them with your teen. Like…mastubation happens. It’s not something you should be controlling when they’re teenagers by not wanting them to see ph because you consider it bad. Talk to them about porn, addiction, and safe sex but that’s all you can by a certain age. Too much control will make your child not want to go to you about stuff. I know a lot of people who had parents that instead of gaining trust and understanding what’s going on chose to be controlling. These are the same people who are 21+ not having the best relationships with their parents. Saying you will lift restrictions when they move out or are 21+ is crazy. However, the real crime is the run on sentences 💀 Edit: Before anyone thinks about commenting to me I suggest you read each comment of mine. Multiple people have wrote several comments clearly choosing to ignore everything I’m saying. Don’t attempt to curse at me or claim I’m attempting to reverse trauma. These are the same people who could not have a mature conversation with me once I gave valid responses and got embarrassed because they were wrong for flip flopping my words. All of them have deleted their comments one even claiming I was gaslighting them so they can become the victim. Think before you respond to me 🤷🏾♀️
I actually use them to make my eyeliner lmaoo, it's a lot easier and saves me time, + it actually looks good (I do puppy eyeliner,?? Apparently that's what it's called, basically it's just a wider wing but shorter)
I have a similar looking scar near my eye and I use it to draw in eyeliner. I got that scar from an injury when I was a kid and it makes wearing eyeliner much easier.
This is for anyone who needs to hear this. When i was 12 - 13 years old All I heard from my classmate was you are fat and that kept replaying on my mind everyday. I stopped eating... I developed anorexia (i already have anemia) my skin was as pale as a ghost and i did not have enough iron or blood left in my body. My hair was falling out. I lived like that for 4 years. I was admitted into a hospital in June of 2023 They put me on I.V for blood transfusion and iron transfusion. This was the most painful time of my life. After that life scare at the hospital. I have not given two shits about what anyone has said/thought about me. I am on earth to live my life how i want to not how other people want me to The trip to the hospital was my wake-up call. Please make my comment your wake up call. Much love to everyone ❤️ Be healthy, be happy and live life to the fullest. Don't sweat the small stuff ❤️❤️❤️
literally lol, I genuinely miss the "golden age" of tiktok (imo 2018-2020) when people were too scared to either download it, or admit they had an account. way less bullies, it was like a nice corner of the internet for a little while
Sadly that's been a problem in our society way longer than TikTok has existed. The fact we are becoming aware of it and how dumb it is to value people only on their physical beauty is a huge progress, some seem to be fighting against this progress but at least that's not a common opinion anymore. In the past century it was commonly believed that ugly people were inherently evil.
So now "chicken legs" are suddenly the IN thing? What? I used to get made fun of for my skinny legs😂 I refuse to believe that society has crumbled this much 💀
well, people used to be bullied for having freckles, and now people are getting them tattooed on their faces. so yeah I think society is falling at an exponential rate
As a 12 year old, i had tiktok but it was a bad influence and there was inappropriate content/really mean people so i deleted it in less than a week lol, stay safe on social media guys
Can we stop using the Kardashian/Jenner clans as a whole as a "good" example of attractive appearances? When we all know none of them really have anything natural on their faces and bodies anymore?
You’ve kinda proved the point she was making around ‘make up’ pretty being ‘bad’. ‘Natural beauty is the only valid beauty’ is what it reads as. Like nobody looks up to the Kardashians, they haven’t for a good while, they’re relevant because haters bring them up everywhere. Like damn leave them alone and get on with it
And live waaay out in the southern country where 1. No one out heres takin their baby girls to Sephora, trust me, when mama buys HER makeup at Walmart, drugstore and dollar tree. 2. Parents are either working outside the home, or keeping grass mowed, gardens growing their veggies, (taking their FAMILIES to church) and just generally living a good life. You find peace this way too 🤗
guys... my mom took away my phone away from me for a month cause she saw i was dying inside, and not even joking, i became the happiest i've been in years after getting cut off from the online world... honestly it helped me realize how unhealthy social media is...
Its also a poison that is destroying the youth by making mental illnesses easier and easier to self diagnose and make people want to get them for attention.
It's better to see your physical traits as a normal thing we don't see cats clipping their ears and tails off for some imaginary non existent beautie standards.
People have always been vain. That's why we have ancient fables telling us not to fall into that trap, of loving ourselves too much. It's not something that tik tok has created. It's definitely not something that another person does to you. Vanity is completely 100% your own doing. Stop trying to be like others, and stop trying to make others not be themselves. Everyone is here shaming people for having "leggings legs", which is worse than people posting videos of themselves appreciating their own body, no matter what their shape is.
AAAAND as a character designer I feel obligated to write this: High visual weight and low visual weight don't determine whether you're pretty or not. High visual weight = more noticeable features ex. dark wavy hair, thick sharp eyebrows etc Low visual weight = more delicate features ex. pixie blond hair and pink round lips In fact visual weight can determine in which clothes/colours you look better but You are not an animated character, You are a human.
thank you, this explains why it actually made sense what they were saying, but why I was wondering "why does this matter lol" okay makes sense. ITS FOR CHARACTER DESIGN but does gen z not treat real life like we are characters to design? lmao ugh, thank u for this info
They do say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are people who can view things that most see as beautiful and only see flaws, but then find that perfect person for them and all the flaws that others see are either non existent to the person or they just love them on the person
Funny you mention the color because as an Italian I can't wear green, despite it being my favorite color, because it highlights the olive undertones, making us look like we have the plague. Just a part of life. But the beauty is everyone has options now instead of whatever was pulled off the sheep herd in the next village.
the “tear stain” is so pretty to me, i’ve never knew what it was called but i think if anyone has it they’re pretty, but honestly every normal human is just prettty.
The fact that over lining originally started as a trend to mimic the fuller lip effects that a double lip line has naturally and now they are using over lining to HIDE a double lip line is classic TikTok insanity 🤦♀️
high-low visual weight isnt determining how pretty you are. its about what sort of makeup and styles suit you! It's really just "does soft or bold makeup compliment your facial features?" not "if youre low visual weight you're ugly!!"
@user-xb1kv5tf3p lol theres nothing wrong with wearing clean girl makeup as a high-visual weight! if you like it then go ahead! It mainly shows a difference on low-visual weight people (me), i look really bad with the bold glamor filter because softer makeup suites me a lot better!
Oooh, another expert on something made up. You can’t split people into two categories and expect them to fit everything you’ve assigned to those categories. It’s bullshit. Also, makeup is a personal preference but lets take all the personal preference out of it and only wear what some idiot told us online suits our face. Y’all need to get your heads out of your asses.
Geez so what? Obsessing about those things will only make you a weirdo 😂 fucking counting angles of your face to determine the exact amount of petrol based chemicals that go on your face for one day 😂 zoomers can only choose between narcissistic and insecure, literally no other character arc
The fact grown adults play into these “hate my body trends” is unbelievable. We should be propping up self love and being comfortable in our own skin. Why must my young daughter constantly hear what’s unattractive? She might not be on tictok but her whole elementary school is with their phone playing it at every opportunity. Also, elementary age students with phones is my other problem.
Not role model behaviour for young people to look up to. We have the power to positively influence the youth and we should instead of displaying negative behaviour all over social media.
That is what the original purpose of the body positivity movement had been for. To help people accept their bodies and how they are unique and beautiful. Then the fat nation attacked and took over the body positivity movement, and began to force their fat lives on everyone.

So we went from wanting a thigh gap to thicc thighs to legging legs…? 💀 Also I’ve been working out and I started seeing my calves showing when I flex and I was so happy.
For me, I like little bit muscular legs, so I work out and grow some glutes, tho legging legs gonna be the trend, I won't change my body just to follow the trend, I love thicc tight, and I work for that, so let me happy with that, I hope if legging legs become a trend people around me just minding themself and leave my thick legs alone, and not making fun of it We can't just change our body to fit certain trends, just be happy with it or improve thing that can be improved (health wise)
The thing about “trends” is that they don’t last very long. Next week it’ll be something else for these harpies to harp on. These trends are just made up because they get the most traffic on TikTok. I used to follow the trends but I stopped. I’m just doing what makes me happy I don’t care what others think. It’s usually girls judging themselves against other girls. Men don’t care 😂 😂. I have big calves for a girl because I did gymnastics for many years.
As a dancer who's been taking ballet among other types of dance training for seven years, I EARNED my calves and I'm damn proud of them. even though they're always sore lol.
Every time I open tiktok I see these videos and just go "Oh, so this is what we're doing now? Okay..." but I'm really realizing how ridiculous all of it is with everything being pulled together and examined like this. I've thankfully not fallen prey to any of these trends, but it's comforting to know that there are people out here questioning what the hell is going on
As woman in my mid fifties who is insecure about my naturally aging face I am so thankful I can't afford any of that crap! Im still beautiful and have earned every wrinkle!
I'm turning 41 this year and honestly hate the way my face has aged. I have so much dryness around my eyes and of course am starting to get "smile line" and other wrinkles. Nothing crazy but it's still something I'm insecure about along with a lot on the rest of my body too
Throwback to when tiktok was majority teenagers because it was JUST transitioning from Musically and everything was unserious. Wtf happened to this app bro ??
I honestly would give my soul for TikTok to have stayed as the silly cringe app where kids did dumb little dances and my anime facial expressions forever instead of turning into the soul-sucking, completely damaging app it has.
As a 17yr who's got really prominent "tear stains" can say I didn't really like them before but tiktok made me think i was insecure about them. Then got called out multiple times in school(before I left for college) about how red my eyes were which worsened it
"When this guy try to flirt with me but he has a negative cantal view: 🤢🤮: "When he calls me ugly but my jawline is sharper than his:🗿" Literally NO ONE ever said that before the existence of tiktok and now I see that every day. It reminds me of that scene on mean girls when Cady said "I used to think there was just fat and skinny but appearently there's a lot of things that can be wrong on your body" And they started talking about split ends and big foreheads and we all thought it was stupid. Is this the reality nowadays??
I always believed that those "tear stains" (which I assume is skin discoloration) were just nature's eyeshadow. No idea why folks are finding even the smallest things to call "ugly".
I just hate mine because whatever makeup I put there ends up gone in a few hours and it looks weird. It took me YEARS to find an eyeliner that could stick to my “tear stains” but I’ve had no luck with eyeshadow
Low visual weight means that face has less prominent and "voluminous" features. High is the opposite. This info can be really useful for MUAs and just casual makeup users. Both weights are insanely pretty. But its upsetting to see this become an insecurity. Its like alc0hol, positive if used right but negative if used wrong.
also the filter thing is dumb. Visual weight is a wide topic and has to be viewed from many angles, not just one and which is extremely unreliable. Its been around for little over a year but new doesn't equal bad, trash and nonsense.
Bruh this is so scary. I was born in 2000 and I thought 90's and 00's skinny culture was brutal. I feel so bad for these little girls with Sephora culture and tik Tok preying on insecurities
I'm an 06 person, it's a good thing I deleted tiktok when I was 16 years old. People need to stop scrolling mindlessly and touch grass, or at least have hobbies ffs-
@@sweariefaerie9621there's a guy, Mr anti bully on RU-vid who is obsessed with looks. Basically in his eyes if youre not white and unconventionally attractive you don't deserve to love yourself. He's horrible
@fogisherenow You are insane. Metokur/misterantibully only goes after people who deserve it, this has been proven time and time again. No clue why you are inserting him into this conversation, making fun of the appearance of horrible, sick, deranged, psychotic individuals is perfectly fine and acceptable.
@@fogisherenowalso he isn't a supremacist? No clue where you got that whole bit... kinda weird. Could you please back up what you said with a bit of truth? Where exactly did he say anything that leads you to that conclusion?
“Not everyone should be the same, that would be boring” My little pony literally made a 2 part episode on why this would be boring and no one listened :’)
The weirdest thing about this is, that as an artist, things like “tear stains” and philtrum are the things that people pronounce to make their characters MORE ATTRACTIVE!! Like genuinely if you have these things and are insecure, go straight to the art community they’ll love you as a muse (everyone is gorgeous regardless of if they do have these things or not)
Maybe that's why my immediate reaction was "why SMALLER?" cause as an artist I love trying to draw the pronounced upper lip and others always seem to agree it looks good. Not that it being smaller is ugly or something, but what in the world decided that either one is ugly? It's so weird!
@@poppyalt7427 the philtrum is the space between the bottom of the nose and the top of the upper lip, so if you're drawing fuller upper lips, you may have a preference for shorter philtrums
Im so tired of TikTok slowly changing everyone into the same person. There's no point in being human if we're all the same. You should not be insecure in what makes you stand out and special and unique. And also tear stains? Oh god y'all.
I blame the insecurities on all of those women who have took the radical beliefs, and just started spewing it on TikTok, because TikTok won’t stop them Because there’s so much radical feminism and radical ideologies coming from women in so many things that these 30 and four year old women are creating insecurities in teenagers by creating impossible beauty standards And at the same time they’re blaming men because everything that these women are doing on TikTok it’s not their fault it’s because of the patriarchy and that’s a constant message. Everyone somehow believes it Cuz you look at TikTok. It is female, dominated in every wave by user base and creators. And for some reason whenever a man says, something hateful immediately gets deleted, but if a woman said something hateful, it stays there it doesn’t get deleted you could literally see the most hateful things you want you can unreasonably have somebody channel shut down just because you don’t like them And God forbid if you are a mess right activist going on TikTok, they will bully you off of the fucking platform by literally mass reporting your channel and you can’t do anything about it because TikTok is going to delete it because they don’t really care about protecting free speech they just want the TikTok users to self regulate themselves What do you think it’s filled with radicals in crazy people because they’re the ones who determine what is the Contant is allowed And if you make some content that is actually saying in talks about men’s rights, issues or how the feminist have got out of control you get your video deleted, even if you say it in a non-hateful way But these women can literally say whatever the fuck they want about men they could literally talk out there point by point plan on how to kill her husband and nothing will happen. They won’t even get a ban let alone investigated TikTok is a toxic pit of feminist, an angry women
Tick-tock is nothing more than angry pics filled with angry women, angry feminist, Ange, soy boy feminists I don’t even have a single shred of individuality. They’re literally a slave to the woman Because they believe they should be But if you have an independent thought, idea or is different, you will be bullied off the platform If you are posting about your insecurities, instead of people, saying, you look good, or that’s not true, you shouldn’t be insecure you’ll have your comments flooded with people saying yeah you’re ugly and it’s not men saying these things it’s usually women from their main account because they’re not afraid to get banned Yeah, there is a few brand new mail accounts that get created to bully people because there is mail to believe women on the platform but those guys get deleted so quickly that they don’t even bother creating a profile picture Meanwhile, these women can literally bully a girl into suicide, and they still get to post videos, and nothing happens to them
Not watching TikTok that much and getting compliments from my friends are the reason why I am less insecure as someone who is chubby. Edit: MOM IM FAMOUS!!! Thanks for the likes ❤ Edit 2: the reply section is so chaotic welp 😭😂😂😂
@MiiPunchy the fact you can't tell a difference between a human and a bot is hilarious also is that your face on your channel?😂💀 Btw I'm not replying to anymore female comments
TikTok is banned in my country, and I’m not complaining at all after all of the videos you have posted about the stupidness and idiotic ness of it. Tysm Hayley for making our days better ❤❤❤
god i'm so glad i'm 30 and not 12 witnessing this. it's like you get more immune to it as you get older and come into your own. i really do feel bad for kids who have to try and love themselves in a world that makes it harder and harder. and it's difficult to just "not go on social media" bc ur friends are there and it can be hard to have a social life otherwise. hang in there youngins, try to get off social media as much as you can bc what you watch DIRECTLY influences how you feel about yourself. ❤
I’m 13 and sadly have to go through these trends I deleted TikTok Becuase it’s making me care about my looks to much and I’m only young and don’t wanna waste my time caring about my look
I wasnt trying to make anyone feel insecure. I didn't mean that in A rude i did was ask them a question, I wasn't trying to be rude. Saying that someone looks like johnnie isn't even rude@@twistedrealitys742
Ok so with the visual weight thing, that first girl in the green shirt didn't at ALL say that having a high or low visual weight was bad. She just said if you have a higher visual weight, more intense makeup looks better than it would on someone with lower weight makeup because it will give a different impression than less intense makeup. Lots of people live doing their makeup but feel like something is just off or that it doesn't look as good as when someone else does it. Visual weight is one of these factors. If you want to take the time to improve and learn about your makeup then visual weight is something you'll probably come across and should consider. Dear peachie has amazing breakdown videos about beauty and visual weight is something they talk about a lot.
What's crazy to me about the "legging legs" is that I was always insecure about being super skinny and spent YEARS believing that I wasn't attractive because I wasn't curvy and now being super skinny is a trend and considered attractive overnight
Calf reduction procedures been trending for a long time in asian countries like China, a lot of toxic trends off douyin seems to have picked traction in the West. It was just a matter of time before this one was going to be a thing
Yup… East-asianboom has effectively been normalizing these surgeries in the west it’s actually crazy how fast it is happening. It’s literally so bad that there’s no Asian plastic surgeons on RU-vid effectively advertising their work and a bhnxh of people are being influenced to do this. And say anything bad about the surgeries and people will try to drag you. Another jarring thing too is the people who are trying to change races? Tiktok has so many videos like this of young girls taking pics of idols and random Asian girls they find online and trying to manifest themselves changing races? It’s crazy. A lot of them use photos that have been edited by snow app too so they don’t even know (or Maybe don’t care) that the person they are trying to look like, doesn’t even look like that themselves IRL
In my country opposite is happening. Btw I live in an Asian country. These trends start getting attention when it is promoted in West. We have this they are better ideology and copying West mindlessly. How weird things are going on.
Apparently there's something called "Girl Pretty and Boy Pretty" now...My friend told me I was girl pretty, meaning guys don't find me attractive but girls do. It litterly made me cry
Anyone of you struggling with insecurity with some odd facial feature, let me tell you something: When I was a fetus, I rolled over in my mother's womb in just such a way that caused the tip of my right ear to fold over. I have asymetrical ears. No one has ever noticed unless I pointed it out to them. And when I look in the mirror, I actually feel excitement when I see my ear. Becasue it makes me different. Becasue it makes me unique. Take pride in your unique facial features.
I laughed at that clip you showed where an influencer was saying that she was mocked for getting Botox at 21 but now she’s 29 and she still doesn’t have wrinkles. Girl I didn’t get wrinkles around my eyes until my early 40s. I still don’t have forehead wrinkles and I’m in my 50s, it’s genetics babe. It has nothing to do with Botox.
And thing is every person genetics is different, in my case I have pronounced and very very visible undereye lines since I was a literal baby, what should my mom had done? Getting her toddler undereye fillers ? lmao I'm glad as 90s kid I didn't grow up with TikTok bcause seeing how current very young generations are doing anti age skincare and getting botox would have fcked me up very bad
Nah Fr my mom is in her 60’s and BARELY has any wrinkles or even acne, bumps or any of the sort. She’s never got anything done to her or even use any fancy products and skin care. One because her family was dirt poor and 2 her mom never allowed her since she always said it can and will ruin ur face. my mom listened and look at my mom now. She looks like she can be in her late 40’s - early 50’s. And same for me, my sisters, cousins and aunts. We all don’t really have any acne and wrinkles.
Leg botox is where I draw the line. I've had calves that don't fit in knee-high boots and look like they could strangle a butternut squash within an inch of it's life for as long as I can remember and they're my favorite feature. I think they scare away weak men so honestly 10/10.
I have a feeling that these trends are picking up traction because the increasing popularity of kpop and Chinese douyin beauty standards. Even the Kardashians removed their BBLs just to fit into the "skinny girl" trend. Imma tell you now, those kpop idols' bodies are not healthy, a lot of them have admitted to eating one meal a day or even starving themselves for a full week to have the bodies that they have. Like, I'm so tired that so many people are just glorifying it and not genuinely being worried 🤦🏽♀️
It's sadly not a feeling anymore, it's a fact. Fans of douyin and K-pop are annoyingly blind to the toxicity they condone. 22-inch waist on a grown woman? Shoulder blades poking out? Poreless glass skin? What's worse is that the Chinese fashion industry makes their clothes in such a way that a normal, healthy grown woman's body is sized as 2XL. I'm Asian and small myself and I'll say it; the standards are borderline inhumane.
im fairly sure that the face angle thing and the visual weight thing is actual eugenics. it reminds me of the angel vs witch face thing going around not too long ago
Yes, it's phrenology. It basically ends with teaching that ethnic features (particularly African and 'Jewish' features you see in racist caricatures) are somehow indicative of someone being a bad or evil person.
I’m convinced these trends follow my health. Got sick and gained 60lbs during “thicc” season. Got sick and lost 70lbs just as “legging legs” kicks in. As a 30yo who still struggles with body image, I’m selfishly relieved, but I’m still really sad for teens growing up right now! Crap!!!!
The way I CACKLED when you talked about low visual weight being associated with everything negative 🤣🤣🤣 bc I fit into this "type", and it was making me very insecure... this video is gold, thank you
As someone who is insecure of themselves at 18 , things like this make me feel happy that i’m on a completely different side of tiktok because if i saw videos like this everyday, I would just feel worse about myself than i already do
The guy above is a bot. Please report the channel. On another note some social media platforms have 3rd parties that link them together. If you start seeing them just ignore. The moment you spend more time on them or start to comment the algorithm will recommend you more shitty videos. Said by a programmer here. 😊
The majority of people you see on social media with perfect and flawless faces use make up and filters. I have many female friends who post on social media and they look completely different in real life
You know... After all the attacks on our self esteem we had to survive, it's especially gross that we're allowing today's kids to fall right into the self esteem shredder. We're supposed to be the adults in the room, and we are failing these kids! And in many cases, pushing them in! Signed, a terrified millennial
as someone who grew up in a time where not many spoke up about toxic-unachievable-trends people were subjected to coming across these kinds of videos feels like a bandaid to an open wound that never got to even stop bleeding i had to learn myself that how i am is how im supposed to be and not any different that being alive is just about living and nothing else so this is a big thank you for content creators talking about issues like this Thank You💕
The amount of time I spent in the gym to build these tree trunk legs/calfs of mine, I’ll be DAMNED 😂😂 The only thing these trends told me is I need to work harder in my biceps and triceps 😅 I grew up insanely skinny (like 00 skinny) and I hated how I looked, complete skeleton. Now I have shape, weight, stretch marks, and cellulite (don’t even have kids 😅) and I’m IN LOVE with my new body 🥰 the gym saved my life I swear
For my mental well being I got rid of all those shitty apps including instagram towards the end of 2023. I can't describe the intense happiness and peace which I'm now experiencing. Now I'm healing❤️
Dude i didn’t even know people are insecure about that cause THATS WHERE I ADD BROWN EYESHADOW TO SHADE BEFORE MY EYELINER 💀💀 i’ve been deliberately going out of my way to add smth on my face people are insecure about cause i think it makes my eyes look cuter- 😀 ppl are so weird on tik tok oml
I’m glad content like this exists to balance out the disgusting content making people insecure and hopefully help girls realize how stupid these trends are when put in perspective
Ngl this is just **sad** as a 12 year old who is INSANELY insecure of herself having TikTok ruined the way I looked at myself and the amount of “fake” things on there (fake vents fake trauma comparing trauma etc) it’s just sad I wish it was back to just doing things like lip syncs and fidget spinners
As a 15 year old who has really struggled with my self image i really get where you are coming from. I really wish tiktok stayed how it was a few years ago. There was no new insecurities every week like there is now. also EMUUU!!
that sounds horrible… ik tiktok is hard to quit completely if you’ve been on it for a long time but also ik a tip which is, if you ever see videos ab all these made up insecurities pls do not interact w them, dont like them comment on them or even watch them all the way thru, the algorithm will stop feeding you that awful content if you act completely uninterested in it. and pls remember that no matter how important those things seem while you’re on the app none of it will affect you ever in real life.❤
ok, 20 something here. i hope you don't mind me giving you advice. i've been 12 year old and that age is already so weird because we are going through so many changes physically and mentally, and well, hormonally too. And so, love, i recommend trying to quit tiktok and take a diary or camera or both and go around the house, around the neighbourhood and make some memories. i was an anime addict at that time and my insecurity about my figure developed from watching those unrealistic anime girls. so whatever you see, you'll want to become like that. so by detaching from tiktok, you might find some wholesome things to take inspiration from. tbh, iwould recommend everyone to quit digital life, only use it for communication because it really takes over such aspects of your life that you struggle to get rid of it when older.
HACK FOR NOT FEELING INSECURE: pretend someone who you hate/think is dumb is saying the little comments (like ‘oh your arms are too skinny” etc) and then be like “no they aren’t you just want to see me fail but i’m gonna wear a tank top just to piss you off 💅” (it doesn’t work all the time but it works a lot of the time). hope this helps!
I was a hyper sensitive child/teen with a present but absent narcissistic parent. If tears stained ones face mine would be a mural, lol. Doing my best to keep my Z/Alpha kid from being insecure but this world sure loves to create insecurities for the next trend in pocketing our cash.
This is why I hate TikTok, and most similar social media apps (I really only use RU-vid). I'm already insecure enough about my body, and this has gotten insane how people are making up more things to be insecure about. We're all different, and we're all beautiful. Let's not forget that.
Take some advice from a complete stranger, Yes I know what im about to say contradicts what Im about to say but anyways. Why care about what random assholes think of you and your looks. Do they pay your bills? do they do your laundry? do they give you food? do they pay your rent? do they do anything for you? are they a significant other that you value their opinions? if no. then what do their opinions really matter? If they don't like you, then what ever. If they hate you. that means they are jealous of something you have that they do not, and just want to bring you down so you feel as badly as they do. Embrace your body and find ways to love yourself and improve for your sake through good hygiene, exercise, good food, and good company.
@@AzraelSeraphino Well yes but actually no. Let's not forget shorts exist because of tiktok (I have a love-hate relationship with shorts thanks to that)
You can literally change the term “visual weight” to contrast and it makes infinitely more sense. If you’re wearing a really dark lip color alongside pale eye makeup and light clothes it might seem a bit out of place. But if you’re wearing dark clothes and have bold eye makeup, it’s a lot easier to make a darker lip fit. Skin tone and hair color will obviously play into that too, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t pull off off really bold high contrast makeup look as someone with pale skin and pale hair, or a softer/low contrast look with dark hair and dark skin.
I deleted TikTok back in like October or November and it’s honestly been wonderful. I still get to keep up with stupid drama through the RU-vidrs who talk about it and I don’t have to put up with the random bs that pops up every other week!! Highly recommend for everyone
Also with the “makeup pretty v no makeup pretty” all the women on the makeup side were poc and the women on the no makeup side weren’t white. Um which is… not great. Not to mention all of the “no makeup” women were wearing makeup. Do y’all really think Marilyn Monroe was going anywhere on camera without tons of makeup? Cause you’re crazy if you think that
I bet TikTok will make an insecurity about the blood veins showing at some places of one’s body that’s literally stupid but sounds like something TikTok would do
My friend in high school circa 2003 had a tiny little spider vein into her nostril and she was so insecure about it. I have one too now and I have to be so close to the mirror to notice it. Each time I do, I think of her and hope it doesnt bother her anymore I can totally see soneone farming for interactions gor the algorithm making tiny spider veins the next big insecurity 🙄
I had a roommate who thought guys veins were so attractive. He could be a huge chubby chub and she’d still think he’s attractive because “he has good veins”. And no, she wasn’t a nurse
These insecurities start trending because one person thinks that they are better than others so they will pick something absolutely ridiculous to nitpick on , to drag others down and feel like they are the main character.
Dude i didn’t even know people are insecure about that cause THATS WHERE I ADD BROWN EYESHADOW TO SHADE BEFORE MY EYELINER 💀💀 i’ve been deliberately going out of my way to add smth on my face people are insecure about cause i think it makes my eyes look cuter- 😀 ppl are so weird on tik too oml
I would like to mention that Botox is basically injecting Botulinum Toxin in your body. This is a neurotoxin which damages the neural connection in muscles, and since the muscles are not able to move, fine lines and wrinkles become invisible. Over time your muscles will adapt and start getting wrinkles at places where no one gets them. This simply happens to make facial movements more efficient. Botox causes *flaccid paralysis* Search this term and you will really question the concept of Botox for cosmetic purposes. Your pain reception will also be damaged in that area. Also, a little mistake in dosage can cause death, since this is the most dangerous toxin known till date. Hayley, I would request you to pin this comment so that people become aware about this topic, Botox fever is spreading faster than anything.
Let’s make this an info chain so she can pin: Mob formality; when people follow a group’s actions even when you aren’t sure why you’re doing it. For example, if everyone is clapping when you were taking a nap, then you start clapping. You don’t have a clear reason why, but you still do it to fit in. Resist the mob formality! Become your own self!
Yup. Many people who have the frozen botox face develop weird creases around their nose (aka exacerbated nasolabial folds) and they look like they just smelled something nasty all the time. It's because when they try to form any facial expression, their face can't move so those muscles contract because they're the only ones left alone.
Don’t forget about, thay blame it on men because of the patriarch Because it is totally men creating these insecurities, bowling teenage girls, and posting these beauty regiments that create beauty standards, because of course it is man doing all this I know understand why the radical feminist I’ve been doing with the wine because they want freedom to bully. Whoever they want in blame someone else and they got it. They are literally bullying a bunch of young girls into eating disorders, insecurities and suicide and depression. And literally society says it’s not their fault it’s because of the patriarchy it’s because of the toxic men saying horrible things to these young girls, even though the majority of hate comments on TikTok come from women. The majority of insecurity videos that are made to create insecurities because it’s like a look at me and my perfect body and if you don’t have this year ugly it’s made by women I’m so sick of this narrative that TikTok is this some sort of place were a bunch of guys bully women, because that’s what the main stream narrative is that it’s some sort of radical place were guys go to bully women Even though 90% of the demographics, female and women can get away with bullying like on any social media, a man can get his comment deleted if it’s interpreted as I hate comment But if a woman says the most hateful thing ever, it’s not hate comment because it’s freedom a speech because it came out of a woman’s mouth because only freedom of speech of a woman says it. It’s heat comment if a man says it.
Thank you 4 this video, i think as long as there is people and girls believing such stupid things it’s going to grow on TikTok. We need to stop everything we face on tiktok And don’t provide your mind on golden plate to any one. U need to know what to believe and what is not
How do these people not notice, centering your life around looks and opinions will fuck you up forever? These people should live for themselves, not TikTok likes... it's really problematic how all of this is turning out rn
