2018 comes to a screeching halt as I roll out my selections for the Top 10 WORST Albums of 2018. This year presented a lot of mediocrity to us, and that's one thing, but this list is saved for something even worse. I feel that these 10 (and the dishonorable mentions) went out of their way to be unlistenable, and downright awful.

I haven't listened to hardly any of the songs on it, but it does look significantly better than your average Migos album (I haven't listened to Culture II either, but DAMN, it seems both so boring and so long). I guess Walk it Talk it has a decent beat, but that's about it.

Here's the thing: Owl City is Adam Young. Cinematic is the album Adam wanted to make. Don't get me wrong, is it different from Ocean Eyes, All Things Bright and Beautiful, Ultraviolet, etc? Yes! But is that a bad thing? No! Cinematic is unique for Adam, and in my eyes he nailed exactly what he was trying to show: Life is a like a movie, let me show how in my life. From the romance he talks about in "Be Brave", to the signing of his previous record deal in "Fuji Water", Adam talks literally about his life. I'm fairly certain he even said it was challenging for him to write this way, that is, literal lyrics. Now do I expect him to continue this? No, and that's fine - Cinematic was something new Adam tried with Owl City. Owl City is Adam's experimental project. I mean, have you seen all the different styles he's tried with it? That's what makes it cool! Adam continues to try and make new and different music for his listeners, and Cinematic is no exception! Again, Owl City is Adam Young.

Eden Gallagher while there are some good songs in origins and evolve that do have some night visions-esque vibes, I’m talking about the albums as a whole. Don’t get me wrong I still enjoy a good amount of Imagine Dragons’ music but it is disappointing to see them go down this path of mediocre music when I know they have so much more potential.

Yeah, I did not agree with you at all, Jon, on The NBHD's previous album, Wiped Out, I loved the shit out of that record and listen to it to this day, but this new album I definitely agree on, it is extremely bland. It's a shame that this band burned out so fast, their debut is probably in my Top-30 favorite albums of all time, I could quote all the lyrics to all the songs if you wake me up in the middle of the night, it was so moody, so atmospheric, and deep cuts from EPs of that time (Lurk, Silver, West Coast) were fucking amazing as well, I think Lurk may be the best song they've ever recorded, but this new record... Holy shit it's boring. You Get Me So High is the only song that got stuck on repeat with me for some time. Anyway, I'm glad I've seen these guys in concert in 2014, and I sincerely hope that they come up with something great again.
