I would love to see dragon form make a comeback. There's even lore about dragon cultists slowly becoming dragons themselves

Bone Fist was a once in a lifetime weapon, such an iconic weapon.

I want a weapon that works as a spellcasting implement - ie, the weapon art casts your currently equipped spell.

I'd love to see a holy-style katana. It seems like the only type that hasn't really been attempted on and presented in any of the games. A unique design with a holy based moveset and faith based stats.

Great Flails would be awesome. Hell, just give me a ball connected to a chain.

More things like the wakizashi, odd powerstance combinations. It is such a bummer the Bloodhound's weapons don't pair.

Asymmetrical power stance weapons would be cool. Something like the great sword dagger combo from abyss watchers or bloodhound knights

I wanna see the books they smack you with in Raya Lucaria! Each book with a different perk for different types of magic.

My number one request is staffs. Like a monkey staff. The bone fist made me think why not have a normal staff with some kind of cool Kung fu moves added to it.

Power stance ashes of war. Either have an alternative attack if you use the weapon skill while holding 2 weapons with the same ashes, or have special ashes specifically for dual weild.

Scythe with different r1 attacks and a cool unique skill And a greatsword with banished knight sword r1 and claymore r2 is all I need

Need sleep based incantations/sorceries. Also an updated latenna summon so she can ride a wolf.

I wanna see a weapon like the cool "lightsaber" dagger in ds3, it fulfils a similar purpose to BB style trick weapons and is just genuinely cool.

I hope we get Sleep Sorceries/Incantations over weapons tbh maybe ST. Trina's kiss or song. Adding the dual short sword, spear set, like the Cleanrot knights use would be something I would love.

Would love to see the Abductor Virgin's chain axe become a weapon. It could function like any other colossal weapon with the same moveset but with a weapon art that extends the blade out on a chain and drags the target towards you (in the same way the Abductor Virgins do).

From software also needs to add a catalyst where you can cast both types of magic Almost like the talisman of beasts in Elden ring

It's not new weapons that are in dire need. We need more ashes of war that differentiate from the ones already available. We definitely need more offensive ashes of war for other types of weapons like whips, daggers, fist, maces, hammers, axes, bows, shields, and mostly staffs. A really cool idea would be an ash of war specifically for staffs that steal MP from enemies, or a staff that inflicts the status to block flask usage. For whips, there should be an ash of war that uses consecutive forward whip strikes for physical damage, and another ash of war where the whip creates an offensive elemental barrier around the opponent, ensnaring them while causing damage or something. Weapons other than swords need better variety of ashes of war. Another good idea would be an ash of war for lances where you rush at an enemy but with a lightening wind storm effect surrounding you as you rush forward, similar to the same storm effect Nepheli Loux's axes use. Katana weapons straight up need a counter ash of war.

I am hoping for a weapon like Slave Knights Greatsword, where it was originally a weapon you could get in the game and it eventually becomes battle-scarred and gets a new weapon art as well.

A fist weapon that turns you into Hoarah Loux, WARRIOR! would be a must-have for me

1. A straight sword requiring exactly 12 STR and 12 DEX and weighing 5 units... just so Confessor isn't downright inferior to Vagabond for PVP. 2. At least one more weapon that scales off both INT and FTH. 3. A dagger/boomerang with a ranged attack Ash of War. 4. A cookbook for Rowa Fruit pie. A pie throw uses the same animation as throwing a cracked pot and has a new splat sound. 5. Dual-wielded cheese graters that use the claw move set, deal very little damage, but have extremely high bleed.

We need a bow staff/iron staff twinblade type weapon that does strike damage Or they could just go crazy and give us a Sun Wukong/Goku type power pole that extends for its weapon art

I want a wooden stick as part of the twin blade class

I really loved the Farron Greatsword from Dark Souls 3 and I'm dearly hoping that they bring that one back with the DLC.

We need more int/faith, arc/faith and arc/int quality options, and possibly even new weapon affinities for these categories. As someone who mains an int/faith character, it's unfortunate that I have to choose between either int or faith scaling, and cannot benefit from both without using the sword of night and flame, which I'm not a big fan of personally.

Id love to see some black flame pots, frenzied pots. Otherwise i would also like to see the scythes the star callers use along with their ash of war like attack

I’d love to see more staves and seals with unique scaling stats, like a staff with str scaling would be sick

just want more stuff for int/fth builds

i hope the cut weapons get added with dlc, especially the gs with the sheath, pristine and chaos form, just because it seems very interesting to have 3 versions of one weapon, and it looks cool

A weapon I want to exist is a casting object with low scaling, but can cast both incant and sorcery to allow crazier builds. Again. Low scaling as to not be OP as fuck. All things can be conjoined.

Adding a meteor hammer (maybe as a remembrance weapon) would be the coolest thing ever, the moveset would be so sick, and could make for such a cool boss fight as well. It could also have a really cool ash of war

I would love to see more fist weapon in general, they're not the greatest weapon type but they're certainly one of my favorites. A weapon with the bone fist moveset would be so fun to mess around with

A lore accurate flowing curved sword is all I need

That last one sounds like alot of fun, like what if its a unique fist weapon called "the barbarians Grasp" and it had a unique moveset reminiscent of the bonefish and the R2 was called Hora Lughs grapple and you just sket slam the target.

As a one handed sword user, i need a silver knight sword-looking weapon or a curved sabre

They still need to rework Draconic Tree Sentinel’s weapon to have better scaling and make the weapon art into the 2 part lightning slam the boss does instead of just generic endure. It still hurts every time I make it into Leyndell and it’s forced into my inventory 💀

-A bo or quarterstaff weapon class would be good, similar but not identical to twinblade animations but with strike damage. -More Int/Faith weapons. (Maybe a flail?) -Weapons that allow general madness applicability in PvE. (Maybe a flail?) -1-2 weapons that give FP per strike like Great Stars/Butchering Knife does for HP but only 1 FP as opposed to 1% (maybe a flail?) -Non-Sombre strength weighted Katana, I think odachi is the term? -More, better flails. Not a weapon but more a concept of asymmetric powerstance. Pairing the Cleanrot weapons for example; a combo of CR scythe spear, scythe sword or spear sword could have an L1 attack appropriate to the Cleanrot theme. Same with Nox Flowing weapons. Or even just being able to pair same class weapons with different sizes, Greathammer and Hammer or Colossal Sword and Greatsword for example.

I'd like some more weapons that influence attributes. Maybe something like a weapon that lowers your endurance or vigor for a time for an interesting buff, or maybe one that gives you bonuses for how many attributes you've increased outside of level increases.

Great video Zio!!!! Would love to see more weapons for Status Effects like Rot, Madness , Death Blight and Sleep like you said. Those status effects dont have much Armaments around them. Maybe cool Armors that increase the buildup or damage when activated and their respective Talismans / Seals and Tears.

It would be awesome if they introduced combos that can turn into a grap attack like some of the bosses. a unique grap attack for each weapon type would be difficult but really fun to pull off like a parry counter!

The Ringed knight paired greatswords from DS3 would be so fun to play around with.

Things that would make the DLC perfect: 1. Dedicated PvP area that allows 6-10 players (Fight clubs) 2. Invasion covenants/Covenants 3. New stuff in EVERY category of collectables 4. new areas/map 5. new bosses/enemies extra difficult 6. Multiplayer Enemy/ Boss Rush mode in the colliseum 7.Torrent customisation 8. A Death blight Lake 😁.

Something like the bone fists are coming as we saw in the trailer we see the tarnished using a monk like combat style. And another thing with the sleep weapons, in the trailer we see a spell/incantation with pinkish purple butterflies and the only time we see those butterflies is on our way to the haligtree roots and I theorize that we will either get new sleep weapons our a whole new type/family for spells

i want catalyst/incantation hybrid weapons. I miss those kind of weapons from ds3

How about weapons that do two types of damage depending on if the attack is charged. Uncharged slash damage, charged blunt damage. I guess that would put it close to the trick weapons if the form changes.

I really wanna see weapons that are catalysts again like the demon scar and heysel pick. The carian knight sword said description said the knights could cast spells with it but you can't in game :(

A whip in 1 hand and a flail in the other allowing a grab and smash attack would be cool

The glintstone sorcerer's bonk Book(the one they hold in their off hand and hit you with if you get too close) It could function as a sort of magician's "shield" and holding it would boost your spells, with the added bonus ability of hitting enemy with the physical manifestation of knowledge if they get too close.

I was actually just telling a friend about the bone fist, and I think for Elden ring they should have done Alexander's Fist from the jar Warrior himself. Wild fighting him he does a fiery uppercut...I want it.

I had an idea a while ago for a third Asteel type weapon. A scythe made from Asteels mandibles! Twohanding the scythe would have the character weild one in each hand. the 2H moveset would focus a lot on cross cutting with thescythes, almost as if mimicing Asteel biting. The weapon art could either be a teleport or a grab, or perhaps a mix of both.

Sleep weapons is one thing I think will be in the dlc for sure considering that’s St Trina’s affinity.

I want another madness weapon, or better still, a madness ash of war that will let us put the madness effect on whatever weapon we want. I'd also like to see DS3's lightning arrow return, but maybe this time it could be the blue frost lightning.

Something you missed about Trick weapons( to be fair the the shallow appearance first focus make this easy), if the first and only time soft tried a cost benefit approach to weapon design. Many of the transformed weapons are clearly stronger(and not a small margin like everything else they do) but also loose the offhand option, you have to actually make a choice rather then get slapped with a longer grind time to make these weapons work. Unfortunately just like with BB ER off hand options suck enough that their little reason to pick one over just having even more dps, and since Soft ability to balance is so terrible theirs no reason to think they would get it right with a year.

About the Crystallian Ringblade thing, a big Crystal ring could work as a shield with a unique ash of war which just throws it. a smaller ring could work as a first weapon or maybe even as a claw weapon

I just want a cool lightning weapon that scales with faith. Or even an infusion like lightning art, similar to flame art, that scales with faith instead of dex. And a greatsword that has the claymore poke and knight's greatsword moveset would be great too

Needs an equivalent of the Chaos Blade/Makoto with a unique art and move set. Or they can the gimmick from taking damage when you attack to just losing hp why using it. It would go great with the royal remain armor set.

A trick weapon great hammer that turns into a great flail with extended range when you use the weapon art would be so cool.

I'd love to see more weapons using the frenzy status effect as well, like the sleep status effect there's so few in the game

I really like flails and whips. 2nd playthrough I went with 2 hollow petal whips for all the game and it turned out to be awesome although the first time was mainly with shield and sword. Whips became my favorite weapons. I would like more whips, more ashes of war for the whips and maybe a specific talisman.

The art book that comes with the collectors edition has a scythe in it kinda similar to the ruins greatsword (looks wise) which I would love to see in the dlc. This scythe is also the only thing in the art book that's not actually in the game

I’d love something like the Chaos Blade, something that does a lot of damage but also damages the wielder. Or a bardiche, a weapon in Ds1 and 3 called “scythe” and “glaive” rescpectably

True Intelligence/Strength weapons where I can Bonk but also cast spells with it like Gavel of Haima. Same goes for Faith/Strength weapons

I would like to see dark bead, flame scar, puzzling sword, that dark katana you get from Midir...forget the name, crow quill, land mine spell you get instead of flame scar, spin to win Farron Sword, quelags fury sword, crypt keepers sword, smelter swords, dark murky scythe, Frieda's scythe, obsidian sword, astora greatsword, sword of judgement....all I can think of atm.

I need a lightsaber. Not some fake lightsaber like Coded Sword, I'm talking Ivory Straight Sword or Aquamarine Dagger lightsaber. Those two weapons are just awesome.

a weapon that act both like a staff and a seal to use both incantations and sorceries would be interesting and in theme with Miquella and his fundamentalism. However, one thing i think should return in the expansion are the transformations. have the expansion add new forms through talismans or "great runes" for the characters, unlocking unique fighting styles for some vanilla game weapons. example, adding a "black knife" form and unlocking the entire black knife moveset when using the black knife or the blade of calling, or a "crucible" form that unlocks a fighting style that uses all the crucible incantations the crucible knights use (even the unobtainable ones) by using it in tandem with their weapons and armor.

I would love for them to add the dagger the nox munks have in nockstella, and the ball and chain sickle the vulgar militia use. I feel one handing the weapon should be generic axe attacks and hard stancing the weapon should give you the combos using the chain and making the weapon spin and flail around

We’re definitely not getting full on trick weapons but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a stance mode kinda thing like the ringed knight straight sword and Freide sycthe from dark souls 3

Gotta have a transformation weapon too. We had dragon form in dark souls1-3 and brocoli head parasite in bloodborne.

My main character is an int + fai build, and i would truly love to see weapons like in dark souls 3, that can be used to cast spells/incantations and that you can use it as a melee weapon. But, i know this would break a little the pvp

They could take notes from both trick weapons and the Bone Fist, and give us something like the Beast Claw in Bloodborne. The Beast Claw has to be up there with the Bone Fist in terms of pure fun.

Great wishlist! I would love all of those, unfortunately I think 1 and 5 have only small odds in my opinion.

I am very glad that you brought up the bone fists since i thought they were the most fun weapons to use in all the games along with all the transformations all the souls games and bloodborn let you do.

There should be a cool unique Katana for faith builds - like how the dragonscale blade worked in the network test

To the topic of great flails, a ball chain weapon type could be neat. I say that thinking of the church giant from Bloodborne using one where it's simply all round terrifying to go up against. To the topic of Bloodborne and also Armored Core there's the stakedriver/pilebunker which could have a similar use to in Bloodborne, but for Elden Ring, a clunkier R1/L1 use that just works its own wild way. Considering Dragon Form seems to be strictly for dragons in Elden Ring, we might see better luck with an Omen Form via Varre's quest, and i like to think it would add horns to the Omen Armor. I would love to see more Nox weapons since they're so not ordinary in their nature and have a flowing behavior, and it makes me curious how a flowing shield could go with the concept.

I would love to see a return of a weapon similar to the Valorheart. That weapon that if you two handed it it was a sword a small shield, and if you timed your strikes you could block and attack.

Right now my most wanted weaopn is some kind of frostbite katana that upgrades with somber smithing stones

what i want is for a boss fight to have instead of a gimmick weapon a gimmick armor kinda like the berserker armor from guts that makes us go beyond our limits but also destroys us meanwhile wearing it so we have a boss fight were we need that special armor to kill it because it is beyond our normal strenght but also because of the armor we are on a time limit till we bleed out making idk every hit build up bleed loss on us without a way to heal it

Another Dark Souls 2 weapon that I want to see make a comeback is the Puzzling Stone Sword. Hell, a modern version of it could also work the same way trick weapons do. For those who don't know, it basically has a sword moveset when you do R1s, and whip moveset when you do R2s. Incredibly fun to use.

5:40 they just need flails to mimic how whips work. Just make it so flails have half the range whips do and their moveset plus the added range will make them more usable. Also, would be really cool to see powerstancing with summoned weapons. Like a gs with carian gs.

I want something similiar to puzzling sword from DS2 Shulva DLC. The Nox flowing weapons are kinda like that, but somehow they aren't as fun as puzzling sword. Also some elegant rapiers with unique moveset like Velka's rapier or Crow Quills.

We need morgots incantation weapons. Like those faith daggers look amazing and could be the faith version of carian slicer

I think a dragon twinblade and a carian twinblade would be sick. As well as a weapon that casts spells. But what id really love to see is a new damage element though i doubt wed get that till elden ring 2
