One of things I really liked about Hikaru no Go was that both MLs actually had to work really hard, fight for their dreams and had go through intense training to achieve the status of being the best Go players. I can relate... I actually feel annoyed if in a drama the actor/actress, physically, doesn't match the role. For example, if in the story she is a physically unattractive girl who often receives insults from other characters, but is played by a super beautiful actress... makes me think, if a face like that is ugly, am I a monster? And vice versa when an actor plays a character that makes girls jaw-dropping when they see him, even though he's..., handsome... but please, not THAT handsome... I can only sigh For me, the most important in a drama and movie are script-writing and directing. I give up this one too... everything is just ridiculously super weird

I wish they would make less dramas but the ones that they make would be good ones. What's the point in keeping making dramas if 99% of them are bad and people don't even finish watching it? It just makes people not wanting to watch dramas anymore because they know it will be bad

Sounds like it would have been better if they put this into a fantasy past. Running off to do a last minute interview without doing research is so Fifty Shades of Grey. And it makes me so sad my brain made that connection...

I swear, the only type of actors I can tolerate to have a scene with “holy sunlight shining on his perfect face through the window glass” is those ridiculously handsome, god-tier work-of-art visuals, such as Yang Yang and Tony Leung (2046 - if you know, you know). For all the rest of the human-tier handsome actors, I cannot stand those super awkward scenes that over-emphasis on their good look. The director just needs to chill, like, we get it. We get that he’s good-looking. Just move on please😂

You lasted longer than me. I was anticipating this drama because it had the background of GO. (Big fan of Hikaru no go too!). Anyways, about 10 mins in, I decided not to watch it anymore. Couldn't take the incompetent female arguing with her boss. I mean, who talks to one's boss like that? It's either ugly arrogance or pure stupidity. Her characterisation was such a turn-off, I could not bother to watch further.

I also watched 2 episode of this drama and gave up. One thing i was really annoyed about FL is the lack of professionalism. Ok let's say she sent him to the Police Station and then realised later, why was she running away. Why didn't she stand her ground and stayed professional i just don't get it. TBH after watching Ideal City, i cannot stand all this unprofessional FL in fluffy dramas. i just gave up, it was waste of my time Thanks for the rant video i needed to hear it after watching the 2 episode of this drama

It seems to me that an awful lot of Chinese dramas lately have started out with premises that COULD work if done well. Girl meets dragon? Princess seeks revenge on her father’s killer? Go player develops a relationship with the journalist who was sent to cover him? All could have been great with the right approach - and they all ended up “rant-worthy.”

I really love these rant videos because i can see what drama i don't want to waste my time thank you sooo much edit: on the first scene when i saw the lady bug and his face i dropped it i don't know why!! omg!! i was thinking of going back at it but now i know i don't need to waste my time.

I recommend this drama for those who like to watch sweet dramas where the FL and ML talks through their problems. I would give this drama a chance and watch more episodes because there is actual struggle and the dark side of obsession in this drama. There are definitely flaws in this drama and very troopy with the childhood drama. He doesn’t have the class grass looks and I never really got over his role in love 020 but this drama changed my mind. His smile and the way he looks and acts with the FL changed my mind and the main leads acting is actually pretty good. It’s like I was watching real people interacting. This is after watching the entire drama. I did skip a lot of the older sister’s arc though.

Yay! Auntie A is back with another rant video! I do have an issue with the current trend in dramas lately.....ALL OF THEM ARE THE SAME THING WITH DIFFERENT ACTORS!! Lately I haven't found anything to really catch my interest ever since WoH finished and although I have older titles stored in my catalogue for later watching, I still find myself looking for something new every now and then. C-dramas are starting to lose my interest, as their stories are almost the same things over and over again. Romance. Maybe something criminally dramatic like SCI, Detective L and I know there are plenty of others, office romance, fantasy romance, emotional dramas....OVERALL ROMANCE!!!
