As a lighter skinned black man who has faced this kind of ignorance from his own people his entire life, a damaged people so caught up in self hatred, KUDOS to my empress for having the courage to live her truth. I love you Sista and would protect your right to humanity to the DEATH from ANY person of ANY color who attempted to violate your human right to live and be as you are. You are extremely beautiful, talented and strong!!

Thank you for this video. It has been made clear that you can judge a person by the color of their skin especially when you don't know them. Society has made so many mistakes and will not stop until it is too late. I have a friend that developed white patches on her black skin later in life, a pigmentation disorder. It did not change her character or take away from herself. I am happy that Diandra Forrest and others are proud of their skin tones.

Albinism isn't rare, the African rate is higher than the world average.

They hunt Albinos in Africa like wild animals and kill them, or chop off a piece of limb to do black magic. Life is horrific in Africa for Albinos.

It's very odd how people with albinism are constantly being left out of the general colorism conversation.

If white isn't a colour, neither is black. Both are classed as monocrome. But there again, no one is actually white. No one is actually black.

@@dmtygmyt7635 That just shows you how so many people are ignorant regarding albinism. I have several friends and 4 family members with albinism. I see no difference in them they are regular human beings. wow,

I can identify with Diandra on so many levels although I am not Albino. I am light skin with freckle from a multi-racial background (black, Chinese, Indian and Portuguese), both my parent are mixed and light skin. I grew up in JAMAICA W.I. And I heard this all my life. I would be teased on a daily basis about my light skin and freckles. They would say, "RED GAL, ALBINO, BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL BUT RED IN CORRUPTION, RED ANTS, RED DURT, YOU THINK YOU ARE WHITE, YOU ARE UGLY". I was not the standard of beauty for Jamaica. But something happen in my life, I came to NEW YORK to live when I was 19 years old, back in the eighties and I was look on like a MODEL, SUPER STAR. I was getting all this positive attention, men thought I was exotic and beautiful. I had people coming up to me and asking me to model their clothing collection. I would get marriage proposal quite often, my college friends always wonder why I got so much attention on the streets of NEW YORK. Back then it was ok to be light skin and look different, now not so much.

That is horrific! What is wrong with humanity? We put so much emphasis on skin color. It's crazy to me. Skin color is something that none of us can change and comes to us by our genetics yet we judge others on it? We are a goofy species. I wish you well and thank you for sharing.

Yeah I’m Jamaican too and they are horrible sometimes I really forget but when you wrote what they said to you I’ve definitely heard those sayings be told to other people but because I was brown I was never bullied for my skin whereas people who were very dark skin or light skin specifically the red tone freckle type got really bullied. I’m so glad you moved and have self love and admired by many elsewhere ❤
