@@abigailslade3824 Clones are far more efficient than the Rebels as a fighting force. Not to mention that they have some level of awareness as to what a Force user can do. Now I'm not saying they'd easily do him in, but I am saying that Palpatine would have some difficulty being hunted down by both Clone Troopers and Jedi at the same time.

If Order 65 was issued then Palpatine couldn't issue any orders,he was no longer in command due to Order 65. That begs the question,if Order 66 was carried out,would only Palpatine have control and only he could stop it?

Republic civil war would be way worse then you think. The CIS would take advantage of it Dooku could tire of being an apprentice. Maul definitely will take advantage of it. Simply put it'll be the Syrian Civil war but in space.

It wouldn't be quite so simple. People in the Republic must realize at this point how close they are to losing what the Republic stands for. They also would have also seen how effective the Jedi were in combat at this point. Could the Galactic Civil War not start even sooner, with citizens joining the Jedi and the Clones that stayed loyal to them, in hopes of preserving the values of the Republic? Of course, Paul Harrison is right. The CIS would definitely take advantage of the situation, possibly even playing both factions against each other, weakening both sides even faster, making them even more susceptible to further incursions. About the only good thing is that unlike Anakin at this point, Dooku hadn't fallen completely to the Dark Side, so maybe there is the faint hope of Yoda trying to take their side. He only left the Jedi Order because he saw no way to save the Republic from itself, and the loss of his former apprentice drove him over the edge. If he found out that Palpatine orchestrated the events that led to the death of Qui Gon, I suspect that he would do everything in his power to kill him.

These novels were written way before way before Disney bought Lucas films which marks them as cannon. Reference Star Wars: A Republic Commando Novel Order 66 written by Karen Traviss. Published in 2008. Explains in great detail about the events that lead up to the Order 66 and what exactly occurred during commencement of Order 66. The novel includes Delta Squad, Omega Squad & ARC Troopers. Disney purchased Lucasfilms in 2012. Been a fan of Star Wars since 1976 when the original action figures came out.

No, those novels are not cannon any more. By your logic nearly everything from the eu should be cannon since it was written before the Disney take over, which makes no sense.
