What is the best high fiber protein bar? Should you buy protein bars that have fiber? I will taste test popular protein bars and let you know what protein bars to buy! Today I will taste quest bars, barebell, one protein bars and Alan nu protein bars!

The Barbell really is the best one overall. The only thing its lacking is Fiber but I can get that elsewhere. Low in fat, high in protein.

The Alani nu chocolate cake ones are the best! I don’t really like the cookie ones personally ha. Most other bars I’ve tried just taste so chalky or are insanely chewy 😩

Is there an issue with having high protein at the beginning of the day? I'm a 24 yr old Male, I consume at least 50-100 grams of protein in the morning with a goal of 220g a day...can you explain why you'd not suggest a lot at once?

Hi! The JISSN (journal of sports nutrition) recommendations and multiple studies show to have 20-40g at one time, multiple times a day. This is the approximate max our body absorbs and uses protein. Too much of anything will be saved for energy later 😊

Hey jazz! I always recommend whole food first (no matter what age) but if you need a snack or another way to get protein in , go for it! I don’t recommend them being meals but a quick snack on the go, is totally fine! Just find one you like and is within your budget ☺️ does that help?

nice video! do you know if there's any protein bars without sugars that you would recommend? I don't care for sweetness and the sugar alcohols make me bloated! Could you also do a video on protein powders? more specifically it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on clear whey proteins and vegan proteins vs regular whey protein powders.

I have posted about protein powders , but whey protein. I love the idea of comparing all of those protein powder and will add it to the list! Thank you. Also so protein bars without sugar no sugar alcohol , I will look but I think the only one are the savory epic bars. Oh and RX bars and Larabars have natural sweeteners (dates) . Lara is lower in protein, tasty tho! Lol

I've tried the chocolate coconut one, the almond chocolate coconut one, and the coconut brownie flavors. You'd think they'd be similar but they're not. Built Bars have a nice chocolate coating. They all share that in common. They are extremely chewy like a big square of cold caramel. Get ready to chew a lot. I like that in a bar, because it takes longer to eat so my mind thinks I'm getting more. The brownie one had hardly any brownie in it. The coconut almond one was the best of the 3. The flavors and textures were delicious. I'd shared some with my grandmother who said it was the best protein bar she'd ever had. The regular coconut wasn't the same minus the almonds. It had a different texture.

@@mom6c625 I’ve had them before and enjoyed them but I can’t remember the ingredients or nutrition facts. I had them when I was training for Pilates and needed something with more calories and they worked well!

Quest has sucralose, I'm not sure why you overlooked that. Not good for your gut health.

Thank you for watching! Most of those studies were done in rats and feeding them large quantities. I haven’t seen any quality human studies on that. But I will say whole food is always preferred over supplements. :)
