Just for awareness I think Flo tells you that you might be frisky bc it’s guessing that you’re ovulating (that hormone surge aligns to friskiness), I don’t think the algorithm is tracking your manual input of feeling frisky and then notifying you based on the trend (I know, womp womp)

Jess I totally agree with you on the 'product' thing and know what you're saying. I've noticed this phenomenon in several interactions I've had lately that's hard to explain, but it drives me absolutely fkn nuts. It's this personifying of things, and there's something so...arrogant about it almost? Idk but UGH.

I feel like it’s not saying product vs products that’s annoying, it’s talking about whatever a company makes in such a vague capitalist way that just makes it feel obnoxious is my theory. It feels like product vs saying something more descriptive 🤔

I think it is funny, how both can not see each other (probably only themselves on video) and therefore moving all the time thier hair and fix it.

If I've already met you, and you re-introduce yourself, my reply is usually, "Oh yeah! I remember you...we met at the XYZ. How have you been?" People hardly ever forget me though.

Also, the chair moment...I could feel the shock and I'm sure you feel bad for breaking the chair but it's also a whole meme. Hope you make a funny clip out of it if it's not insensitive to the owner of the chair.

On the topic of uncertainty about names you really should know... I have misspelled my husbands name multiple times. Most recently, spelling his FIRST NAME over the phone - while he was within earshot. 🙃 I cannot picture words in my head!

Aloha bad babes! Long time listener first time commenter here. ;) The section at the end of this episode about what motivates us was REALLY hitting. I’m off of work to recover from injury and want to look back on this season knowing I used all the opportunities of this time well! I’m thinking of a “career switch” so to speak, and beginning to *intentionally* think about what motivates me feels like a really productive topic to reclect on right now. I was wondering if another episode expanding on this topic might be in the works? I would love to even hear from Jess’s previously-$5/session career coach? Grateful for all you bad babes share. Lots of love! Take good care, mālama pono ❤️🙏✨

CAROLINE- I HAVE THE SAME MOUTH THING. omg I have never felt so understood. I can’t breathe or open my mouth around things that I consider gross or if someone is too close to me (need to avoid breathing in the air from their lungs!) U are not alone!!

Wow I wish I had the rizz to reintroduce myself like Jess. That’s so logical and smooth but I feel like Im so bad at remembering peoples names I have to just pretend I know it until I hear someone else say it or see it written down before I can remember. ESPECIALLY at a god damn cocktail party lol

I also track my moods day-to-day, and for the same reason! I started a few years ago when I started experiencing seasonal affective disorder, and it really does help to look back and see that the bad times do always, eventually, end

Don’t forget to add in illness and bad sleep nights into the tracking of your cycles of mood/energy/creativity. That has a huge impact! Jes’s, I was listening backwards to your solo episodes and several months before you were worried about your creativity slump you said you had been sick 4 times in a short period of time. When our bodies are fighting off illness or running on little sleep, it can have a huge impact for awhile.

Ok maybe the 2nd time you meet someone and they need reintroduced is fine. However, when you have met someone several times, let’s say 5, and they do this repeatedly…? Where is the cutoff of now they may be an a$$?!😂

Work what it do: I quit this job, but I do want to learn from the experience. So, I got a job working for an international NGO. The environment was post Covid so not many people in the office and people didn't really mingle but were friendly I guess. Anyway, I was told I could work remotely two days out of the week, but once I started I got the run around trying to figure it out and ended up working everyday which messed up my schedule due to the commute time and I had another project I was finishing up. Then I was told they want me to work one month in office and later six months before getting the remote days. I managed to stick my ground and get my two remote days, but I felt like it wasn't "okay" by how one of my coworkers would ask if I'd come in even though they knew it was my remote day. It was a lot of last minute stuff and I worked mainly with one colleague who was training me as I was doing the job but everything was in the moment not much planning. I was organizing an event and my manager told me to ask a colleague since she had done it before. I went to the meeting and invited our team assistant. She proceeded to just yell at me at how I should know what needs to be done and was talking to the assistant as if I had no clue what I was doing. I ended up crying in my office as a result. I found out she had applied for my job and didn't get it and been there almost 7 or 8 years already. Another colleague confided that she was also rude and even mean to her, but she tends to be nice to the guys. I spoke to her afterwards to clear the air and didn't take it to HR. I thought we were okay afterward even though I didn't feel comfortable with her but she still would treat me very differently from the rest of the team or not acknowledge me. Then our team assistant would say he wanted to be more involved and didn't have much to do so I'd try to get him more involved in our project, but the manager and this b**** would say he had too much to do and they were "protecting" him. It was so bizarre so I ended up doing his work and mine. Also, this assistant although keen was fresh out of undergrad didn't really have much work experience, but for some reason thought he knew more than I did and I'm not sure if it's because of this lady berating me in front of him. He sent out an email that I shouldn't pass of his work while CCing my superior. It was such a weird environment. I didn't experience anything like it and quit. I usually get on really well with others and this experience still dumbfounds me to be honest. I'm wondering if I could have approached the situation differently or was it just an unhealthy work dynamic?
