They won the CL with a shitty Torres so it would have only made slight difference. However, Mou with a prime Eto at his disposal would have destroyed the league back then
@@beatsbyadmiralz5915 And possibly the UCL because that year, we reached the semi finals Imagine our team that season if all our players were at their peak Cech Azpilicueta Ivanovic Terry Cole Ramires Lampard Matic Willian Hazard Eto'o
Robbie Keane might have went to the MLS to retire, but he was an absolute beast. But I'm honestly not sure whether he'd still rock the MLS at this day and age. With the emergence of many youngsters and the lower reliance on European has-beens, the MLS is becoming a lot more competitive. It's a league where Steven Gerrard and Chicharito flopped at. Excited to see where this league will go in the future.
but this list is taking about past their prime players, robben at chelsea wasn’t past his prime when he was there, nor was he already at his prime, he was just a young up and comer at the time really
If Liverpool had Joe Cole in his prime couldve been scary, especially as torres was still around and suarez was on his way in January. But the truly scary thought is that might have kept Roy Hodgson in charge 😳🤣
As a city fan, I WISH we could have had a prime Lampard back in 2015. Just imagine prime Lampard and David Silva in one midfield. It would have been magical.
There are quite a lot of past it players who in their prime would have been phenomenal for chelsea like marcel desailly, gonzalo higuain, samuel etoo, emmanuel petit and ruud gullit
Ha ha ha. I can imagine you've somewhat changes your mind about Silva & Chelsea since making your mind. At least you'll contemplate you have called it wrong :)
Snowyy "the world if nigel pearson didn't call the journalists as an ostrich". His antics made him sacked even they were unbeaten towards the end of 2014-15 season
Pires is probably the right pick for Villa, but I can't help think of Ginola too. He was absolute class for us in his mid 30s - would have loved to have him in his prime.
HEY HITC Sport. hope all is well. An idea i think would be top 7 controversial managers by definition of interviews. Interview answers that by thier own word are hypocrits. example. Gareth Southgate 12 months ago (ish) said Jack Grealish needs prem experience before England call up, then, 12 months later hands phillips a debut before jack etc.
It would’ve been a bit more interesting if you could’ve predicted Everton’s season with a prime Paul Gascoigne or David Ginola back in 2001. But I’d say that was a fair opinion on Gareth Barry
Sarpsborg is not on the west coast of Norway, but on the east coast, about one hours drive from Oslo. They did play in the Europa league in 18-19 (Bottom of the group), so not totally unnoteworthy. They have a history of picking up, develop and selling players with a great profit. This season they sold players to Groeningen and Sheffield United.
Kinda strange that you said Eto’o and Toure would lead their clubs to PL titles but it’s in the same year 😂 surely you needed to pick another player for either team
Prime Schweinsteiger at Man United would have got us into the Top four in 15/16 I reckon. We were close enough as it was, going down to the final day. He would have been the world class midfielder that we desperately needed at the time. LVG would have probably kept his job as well and I don’t think we’d have had José at all. He would have been snapped up before the end of the 16/17 season. Another shout would be if we’d had prime Laurent Blanc in 01/02, we’d have beaten Bayer Leverkusen in the champions league and got to the final, and we’d have won the league as well.
Henrik Larsson was an absolute goal machine during every season at celtic, he suffered a leg break in 1999 which kept him out, but even though we were managed by John barnes, both him and the rest of the team were banging the goals in, so we'd have won the league in 2000, and before he got injured in october he already managed 12 goals. Left foot, right foot, header, free kick, lob the keeper, scored every type of goal
I would argue Martin Demichelis for Man City over Vieira. One of City's biggest problems was getting a consistent partner for Vincent Kompany. City won a league title and made it to a CL semi final with him, and that was with him being old.
Norwegian Strømsgodset supporter here, Sarpsborg has actually impressed a lot in recent years and has helped a bunch of players reach Norwegian top level. (Admittedly a bit shit compared to the rest of Europe, but still impressive)
a prime schweini imo at united wouldn’t have won them the league imho with that team he was surrounded by, owen tho in an acc good united team whilst teaming up with a prime rooney, would’ve honestly destroyed the league that season
