All the little matchups and how to approach them in specific situations is something I just love.” I’m pretty sure he was being interviewed by, Roy Firestone when he said it… Roy didn’t make him cry though, LOL.
It’s because he doesn’t use his pitches the best. Pitch sequencing and location matter a lot, and that’s something pitchers like Scherzer and Verlander have always done well imo
I think that’s the best compliment for any baseball players. Ofc numbers (score, stats) are very important, but to me a game needs to be interesting. And every time Darvish on the mound the game becomes more interesting!
