I wish you could have shared this recipe for goan people who don’t get Goan toddy in uk. It would be really helpful recipes for people who don’t get toddy nowadays.Anyways good job
there is one more way to do tomato chutney in villages. Chop onions big slices and chop the tomatoes . Take a pan pour 2-3 spoons of oil and add mustard seeds,cummin seeds,turmeric,7 to 8 pieces of garlic ,ginger,hing. Now pour the chopped onions and green chillis how much you want based on your spice level.Let onions turn little red now add chopped tomatoes into the pan. After 3-4 minutes add tamarind,little jaggery,salt,fried peanuts . once the tomatoes cooked well turn off the stove. cool it for a while and then take mixy and grind it. This chutney can be taken along with dosas,idli,rice , chappati,poori also. soo yummy. You can do the same recipe along with raw coconut also instead of tomatoes but there is no need to fry the coconut . This coconut chutney cannot be stored it has to be eaten immediately.
