I’ve worked for myself for nearly 12 years but the job I was in before I felt like I was just a number in a huge company and not really looked after or acknowledged

Within 30 seconds of hearing Jamie speak, I knew he was someone worth listening to. What an incredibly authentic, self aware and genuine individual Jamie is. He speaks with an ease and clarity that comes only when someone is coming from a place of honesty and deep self reflection. Looking forward to parts 2 & 3
Hi James how are you! We are not sure whats embarassing about speaking about mental health awareness week and the video. Hopefully people are finding it useful! Apologies if you did not, have a good day 👍

Your mate you described who struggles with anxiety eg McDs ordering. The anxiety is the manifestation of the real issue which is likely to be related to rigid thinking, struggling with transitioning, struggling with short term working memory, auditory processing and/or a bunch of other things that are common in people who are dyslexic, dyspraxia, adhd and autism. Understanding why helps an individual figure out with or without a therapist how to mitigate the reaction
I think there is a lack of understanding of highly intelligent young people and being identified as having autism or adhd. A lot of the ‘symptoms’ only become apparent when they are slightly older as they are able to create strategies to work around things from a young age. Also the intensity and difficulty of school work is not particularly challenging to them at a young age so their poor focus and concentration is not affecting their performance. I’ve seen many young people who perform highly or at least averagely at junior school and are not flagged as having an issue. It’s not until they get to GCSEs or A-levels or university when the work is more complex and require sustained attention that it becomes apparent that something is going on. Tom, having up and down moods is not limited to bipolar. Not having a go at you but it’s like someone who is a bit particular claiming to have OCD. OCD is a crippling disorder. Bipolar is a crippling disorder. Being a bit mood swingy isn’t bipolar. It’s normal and consistent with most forms of ND and also with introverted people Love what you guys are doing for this space
Hi Lorna love this! I think alot of my up and downs with work come with my ADHD. Not bipolar, wasn’t meant to place the point I have it because I don’t have bipolar disorder. Was very interesting to chat about bipolar disorder but was not meant to be the premise of that chat thinking we had it. Thanks for the support as always! 👊🏼
Yep. Well, it is not the horror of the inhumane treatment inflicted but the remaining traces/tracks/wounds is the trauma. This is what needs healing. Treatment plan matters however it zaps your soul and your energy. Take care of you too as you go. Seek 3rd party support if possible. 😢❤
Speak your peace. Many people hide with fear of being judged. Only God can judge you dear. Always hold your head up and speak what you believe in dear friends. You matter regardless what some people say. God bless you always! 💯🙏💚🎤
So inspiring, weirdly my dad had a pacemaker fitted last year and at 83 goes to work 5 days a week, he has stayed super fit all his life up to this day 🙌
I think many people don’t ask details about their condition because their brains don’t think like that. This dude is amazing and he’s an ENGINEER. Engineers are curious problem solvers. They love understanding how things work. They have some of the best brains for breaking down a subject. It’s in his DNA to want to get to the nitty gritty. Other people literally don’t think like that. Doesn’t mean they are foolish.
I was more stressed as a kid in high school. Less so in sixth form as more free time and no stress at university as can play sport and study what enjoy. Simply do more gym and sport. Put it into perspective, grandads were in war risking their life under harsh conditions. Its a walk in the park compared to that
Having both taken anti depressants before for long periods of time, we discussed that the balance of both exercise & antidepressants helped Joe and I alot! Let us know your thoughts below!
