Started out earlier this year at 400 lbs. Got on the trail January 30, 2019 at 387.2 lbs (lots of throwing up before I left out of nervousness).
July 1, 2019 I weighed 295 lbs. Had an injury that took me off the trail for 5-6 weeks (I was practically immobile). Ended my hike at 310 lbs on September 20, 2019.
Used to be obsessed with hiking and wanting to go ULTRAlight backpacking when I was a sophomore in high school to do when I was in college. Used to watch your PCT videos all the time. Now I’m 20 and just remembered your videos. I used to be very healthy and skinny. 150lbs, I ran track around 6 miles everyday. I went hiking almost every weekend. Now I’m 20 overweight at 270 lbs. your videos have inspired me once again in a new and completely different point in my life. Just wondering where you have gone for the past 2 years ?
Sorry about the weight gain. It’s a challenge. Keep fighting. I also gained weight. Yoyo is normal. It goes up and down. I lost 8 pounds this week and getting it back off. I still go on crazy adventures. I just stopped posting as dang people are toxic and I guess I took it personal. Hitch hiking on cargo planes. Just got back from adventuring with my two sons. Sucks I couldn’t bring my wife on last two adventures over visa issues. Married over two years to an amazing woman and my home base is Thailand. Baby is on the way in November. Living my best life. I told myself I should do a video this week. I am on the fence. Cheers 🍻
It hasn't had that effect on me. I started at age 21 and 200 lbs., and I still hike now that I'm 57 years old and 310 lbs. It's great fun, and I have very strong legs, and I'm in fairly good cardiovascular condition, but, no, it did not take off any weight.
I am from Canada and here, the mosquitoes and flies are concentrated in the summer months. I was impressed how you can walk with shorts and a t-shirt in southern Florida without getting eaten alive by them.
Great video! I love it. I'm going to be hiking just the Oregon PCT section this year. Do you know if there's a road that can take you fairly close to the Oregon/California border to start? My wife is dropping me off. Thanks.
I swear I am doing well. Living my best life. We are having a baby. Already married over two years. We still never fight. It’s just peace and wonderful. I am going on a trip with my sons in two weeks. Life is pretty great. I am still fat, still working on that battle. Much love thank you for your thoughts ❤️ 🙏

Just heard about this channel for the first time from a podcast and I already love this journey you’ve been on! I know learning to love yourself is a long and difficult path but I just want to add to the voices in saying that I’m so proud of you for taking the steps towards a happier healthier life and I wish you all the best! Can’t wait to watch through this whole series and continue to support the channel with your new videos!
Hello Cori, been following your for years. So happy to hear of your success and your awesome Adventures. We love you Jo and Peter from Long Beach California.
Bold going up there in winter, smart to have a guide. Even if you make the cabin to stay in, the avalanche conditions could still worsen while there . Neat to see it in winter. This is video I shot that shows you your same location in summer. Peace to you . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p239xGwv44U.htmlfeature=shared
Lots of people get the answer to this question who have managed to die, have life review, and then return to the physical body to continue their life in what sometimes is a massively different way to see reality. You can read about these as NDE’s, but basically you are living right now, love yourself, extend love to all you can, don’t worry be happy, love everything and everyone as God living. Peace to your heart, enjoy. Popularity and social status is far from what the point is, being perfected love and joy is.
Man your one of the most impressive hikers I’ve ever seen just running through your videos not just because of what you accomplished but your spirit is solid and the optimistic confidence I need that . Not that anyone will probably read this but.. I’m 43 been through a lot high bp smoker chronic pain messed up hip knee and thoracic surgery that ruined me . Done minimal things mostly sit on a couch if I’m being honest and I’m sick of it and need a reset I need to find out if there’s anyway I can get better I’ve quit 3 medications to get on this trail currently quitting smoking, moved heaven and earth to be able to even get out there . I start April 7th hopefully I can have an outlook similar to yours.
Hi I’m attempting to hike the pct had an issue at a pretty low altitude on a weekend backpacking trip 2 times. Just wondering how you did with adjusting to altitude if you noticed any problems or have any advice thanks for your time.
I am alive!!! I am currently on a tiny little island with my beautiful wife. Life is great, I am alive and well!!! We left our home in Chiang Mai because of burning season this spring and because my wife is pregnant I didn’t want to expose her to bad air. I need to develop thicker skin and return one day… maybe. Happy 😊

@second chance hiker F$@& what everyone thinks brother, your life your adventure. “Lose Yourself” by Eminem from “8 Mile” should be your theme song relative to your decision. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_Yhyp-_hX2s.htmlsi=bDSQwf_-z8F5ZXjx
Corey, it was very interesting, watching the first part of your life that you exposed to us. hiking the Pacific Coast Trail, and all the other. I’m sorry you didn’t make any money on RU-vid but I have wondered how you are financing all of this. Do you have some patrons that we don’t know about? Good luck to you and Ann in the future!
I can relate to your adventurous spirit. Seeking something out. I have this thing for seeing an alligator, too, so these videos really resonated with me
I know this was 2 years ago, and I have no idea what you're up to now, but watching this all I can think is... You're a badass. This is a very cool story. Thanks for sharing.
Much appreciated!!! I haven’t posted in a long time. 2 years really goes by fast. I am currently on top of a mountain sleeping in Hmong hill tribe village in remote northern Thailand. It’s wild here. Life of crazy adventures!!!
As someone that grew up around big cypress, dude is crazy to hike without a firearm..all kinds 4 legs and 2 legs of creatures that with kill your ass in there, plus skunk ape..
Appologies, I skipped the last videos after the rescue because I couldn't wait haha. Just wanted to say that this trip has been an inspiration. I know you're off on adventures in Thailand now, and a new season in life. Stay well, and thank you for these videos.
