Thanks for these ideas. I am taller than you, and I struggle the most with washing dishes. Since it is impossible to raise the level of my sink, I try to do a wide legged squat but I can't hold that position very long and end up bending over. Any advice?
Why not use BIOIDENTICAL hormones that your body had plenty of when you were younger and healthy AND HAD NO BONE PROBLEMS ? What hormones go low for women during and after perimenopause when their bones start turning to brittle swiss cheese ? PROGESTERONE AND TESTOSTERONE [ AND THEIR DOWNSTREAM HORMONES FROM TESTOSTERONE WHICH ARE DHT, ESTRADIOL AND NANDROLONE] Doctors can reverse >98% of all osteoporosis if they did correct and complete BIOIDENTICAL HORMONE THERAPY with 1 Progestetone 2 Testosterone : Nandrolone injectable with 1:2 T:N ratio 3 Vitamine D3 and K2 4 Soluable Magnesium You do this and all these bone markers for BONE GROWTH will go astronomical and DEXA SCANS will go from -3.5 to -1 to maybe even +1 in a few years. Your bones and your health will be strong and you will be a much happier person Synthetic man made drugs or synthetic hormones are not necessary. But doctors and drug companies get rich pushing this on tens of millions of patients FYI. ESTRADIOL SUPPLEMENTATION ONLY SLOWS DOWN BONE LOSS. IT DOES NOT REVERSE BONE LOSS AT ALL
Strontium is a Snake Oil magician's trick. It only fools the xray density tests. Strontium will not make bones stronger. What will greatly help real bone strength is progesterone first but upping blood d3 levels to > 50 but better to >70 Also, vitamin k2 and highly soluable magnesium and boron and zinc Im a man and I take 60 to 80 mg of progesterone cream a day. When I had teeth problems I tool as much as 200 mg a day of progesterone for 2 months and my teeth got stronger.
Thanks for this great story! How I wish that healthcare companies would support buying the Marodyne vibration machine. So many of us cannot afford it, and I am convinced that it is very helpful with osteoporosis. Sad.
So, I'm confused. There are many messages stating that aiming for 150 mins of aerobic exercise is ideal. I (F56) have osteoporosis, too. I used to do and love Spin but it doesn't feel safe anymore. How to get the 30 mins each day (or 3 x 50mins) safely? Do you have other longer videos? Many thanks for all you do and offer! Your site is such a boon!
It means that the vibration plate sends a signal at 30 hz (30 times a second) through your body. It replicated the natural rate that your muscles vibrate and pull on bone when you exercise (but at a more sustained level). Explained in more detail in this post: melioguide.com/osteoporosis-treatment/whole-body-vibration-therapy/
@@margaretmartinpt I filled out the form a couple days ago but still haven't been contacted. Do you prefer the Marodyne over the Juvent? Or what do you see as the differences?
@@BlueBonnetGirl1 The Marodyne is based on more recent resear and is a lower price compared to the Juvent. Please visit my Contact page and I will direct yo to the right resources in Marodyne. Thanks. melioguide.com/contact/
My neighbor went to Germany and got three vertebrae replaced. In America orthofix bought spinal kinetics, we are approved for one bone and hopefully two soon. He had to pay out of pocket but had stocks they sold. They were there a little over a month. He was in chronic constant pain and laying down on heavy meds sometimes for days. He could barely walk or drive much of the time over about five years. After he got home and did his therapy through a doctor at ucsf, he was walking, able to lift light things and no pain meds. It’s been just about a year and half and he and his wife are on a four month road trip across the USA in their sprinter custom camper van. He did have special shocks and suspension as well as a custom seat installed. Last I heard they had left Yellowstone and we’re heading to Michigan to visit cousins at their lake cabin. I hope here in America we can advance to the three or possibly four vertebrae replacements. Ps for those in America on Medicare please keep original Medicare and buy the supplemental policy and not an advantage or part c plan if you can possibly afford it. Also in UK my friend there buys a separate policy and between the national care and her private policy she gets great care. I believe Canada offers private policies to complement or give access to what a stretched and limited healthcare system can. We in America have same problems, getting enough doctors and training them. We have a terrible shortage of primary care doctors. Now they all are going concierges where they want us to pay 1800-5000 dollars a year just to see them. That’s on top of our insurance premiums, Medicare premiums and any copay’s etc.
Poor thing what a horrible thing to change your life. I was pushing a dresser like pushing a car position. Stupid. I have ocfrd. Obsessive compulsive furniture rearranging disorder. Lol. I get my thoracic mri this week. X-ray looked ok but possibly a tiny fracture in 11-12. Orthopedic doctor just ordered the lumbar mri and said facet joints. I insisted on thoracic mri because pain is up a little higher but possibly the first lumbar. Praying not fracture. I have strong bones but osteoporosis. So glad dear you are healing enough to be able to do some things and do your exercises.
Are there other testimonies like Debbie... because I really can't afford the program, so I'll take what I can from each one and look for a video performing that particular exercise for the osteoporosis..so far so good..
thank you so much for clarifying. Saves me all taht money I planned to spend. I like yuor scientific simple explanation. Us the people are flooded wiht all those gimmicks for exercise wihtout knowing those details and hidden dangers.
What is your experience with the LIV plate and total knee replacements? I recently had a total knee replacement and have been discouraged from continuing to use it.
Thank you for answering questions that I haven't been able to get answered by my Internal Med MD or his associates. I feel like I'm wandering in the dark being on Prolia, trying to figure out the right thing to do. This video helped me so much.
How long should I hold my squat? I do not have any knee, hip or ankle issues. I am 75 and walk rigorously several times a week, but squats seem so important.
Coincidentally, I've just bought one of those bamboo stands to raise my computer monitor up to eye level for a straighter back. They're costly at some places for exactly the same thing, so check around for the best price. I paid AU$15 for mine (US$9.78) and some places were charging AU$40. Good idea to use them for other things too.
Thanks Margaret! Motivated by what you've taught us about posture I use a monitor stand at my kitchen counter (I'm 5' 9"). An added advantage of both stands: commonly used items can be kept under them
I'm about the same height as you. I struggle with hand mixing because it feels like I'm holding my arms up the entire time. Any tips? Thanks for your help with so many things
VERY INTERESTING DOCTOR AND PYSICAL THERAPIST I AM ON PROLIA BUT THE PPROBLEM IS I HAVE ODONTHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS, NEED IMPLANT OR OPERATION IN MY MOUTH WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO ? THANK YOU FROM ARGENTINA.......
Thank you for such great tips! Could you put a link to that IKEA product in these comments or under the video? That would be super helpful and is a common practice when RU-vidrs recommend certain products to their viewers. Sitting in front of a computer and spending time searching for products hurts necks and backs after a bit. Thanks again!
