I have another problem it shows immobilizer active on the dashboard but the ignition works ok can it be bcz the black antenna is a little damaged , thanks if you can help me to remove that message
We have a workshop in Norwich if you can bring the car to us, we also have many programming services available on our website, it would be best for you to contact us via the website with your particular enquiry: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
Thanks! Yes we should be able to do that for you, best thing to do is contact us via our website with the part number of your ECU: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
I've just had my frm reprogrammed, all the typical symptoms went, indicators, windows etc now I have 9 light fault codes with no high beam, main beam, reverse light. Can they be incorrectly programmed?
When we repair the FRM3 modules there is usually no further problems such as you are having, I can only assume the company / person you sent the FRM to doesn’t do the same as us by recovering the corrupt data & they have flashed a different file onto your FRM, it’s hard to say without having the FRM ourselves to check, if this is the case then hopefully they kept your ‘Dump file’ - we may possibly be able to still recover the data, if not then you may be able to re-code & update software on your FRM, for more details on what we can do to help please contact us via our website: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
Hello, great video, that’s what I was looking for! I have a problem starting and I tried to erase the keys to reconfigure the immobilizer but I got an error message after 20% "code entered is not correct. Thank you kindly check and try again." Can you help me ?
Are you using Forscan? - if not that would be my first recommendation, if you need further help then you can send us your: Cluster, ECU & keys - we can then set it up on the bench & program it all together for you, I assume you have a Ford Focus with ‘bladed’ keys (Not push button start). Please contact us via our website for further assistance: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
@@JC-ECUConnection First of all, thank you for your quick response. Yes I have Forscan. I have a P1259 fault code. It's a 2005 Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCI. And I live in France.
@@julienstievenart1376 This fault could be a few things, firstly double check all fuses, then perform wiring tests between the PCM & Cluster, if all checks out ok then it could be corrupt data in the PCM, if possible reflash the PCM with known good files from an identical part number PCM, if you don’t have the tools to do that then substitute the PCM with another from a donor vehicle (They should be pretty cheap on EBay etc) & then perform the synchronising again with Forscan..
Hi & thanks for watching! - there is a link in the description to a company in the U.K. that sells a bit set (1/4 drive), hopefully they dispatch internationally - I guess you are in Sverige?
Hej! It’s not necessary to disconnect the airbag or steering wheel when removing the dashboard - nor is it necessary to remove the battery when doing this job..
Hello I have a faulty SRS module of fiat 500, no communication . My ECU is the aluminium case type. I replaced new Atmel A2C00024016 but it not working. I replaced 2 other new chips but it still doesn't work. And I replaced with Atmel A2C00024016 of SRS HONDA CRV, it working. So, Does it need to program this ? or is just a power supply processor ? Thank you so much!
The problem is usually the Atic chip, sadly the new replacement chips that are available for the aluminium cased ECUs are not genuine & simply don’t work! - I have tried a few (Chinese) suppliers & theyre always dud!.. If however I salvage an Atic from a known good board then they come back to life, no probs!.. Try replacing the Atic from a known good board & see how you get on!
Hi, yes this is a known issue we fix - the actual fault is corrupt Eeprom data in the MCU, it’s recoverable & we offer this service on our website: ecuconnection.co.uk/product/audi-tt-mk1-instrument-cluster-cloning-screen-replacement-refurbishing-pin-retrieval-mileage-correction-999999-miles-fix-service/
Good question!.. in this video we didn’t actually test the resistance of the sensor as it was working & new - for reference they are usually between 1k & 2k ohms, if you are going to test one of yours I would compare it to a known good sensor on your car..
Hi, it depends what you mean by what you mean by ‘damaged’ - if you have communications with the FEM unit with a diagnostic tool then cloning is not an issue, if your FEM has ‘no comms’ then we cannot clone the unit.. currently the only option then would be a brand new unit, programmed with dealer tools..
I got the same problem but the car just when i got it about 4 weeks ago it did start i replace the engine harness because it was reap and now it just crank and no start i have to reprogram the computer? I also check everything battery is new alternator is good everything is good it just doest start you think it should be the same problem? Also i check for codes it does not have code
Hi & thanks for watching!.. sorry but I cannot diagnose specific car faults by symptoms alone, it may be your ECU but it could well be hundreds of other things that will need testing by a competent auto electrician, if it’s diagnosed as an ECU then we can help with the supply / programming of a donor unit: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
Hi Sir. The LED display on the indicator of my 2009 model Focus turns off 10 minutes after locking the doors. So far, so normal. However, after 30 minutes or 1 hour, the led light starts to turn on again. I took it to a couple of mechanics and they couldn't figure it out. I wonder if you can give me an idea?
Hi & thanks for watching! The fault you have is generally not a cluster fault, there is most probably something ‘waking up’ the CAN-BUS network, this could be anything from an aftermarket stereo being fitted to a faulty door mechanism etc etc… these can be a bit of a nightmare to find even for a good auto electrician- good luck!!
I have a 2020 Partner/Rifter K9, E6 (customers van supplied by me) won't bore you with all the deatails publicly but I can't alter any BSI parameters. I have tried my Launch and Topdon Poenix Plus but won't change anything. Need to turn off eoloys but says programming failed. The ECU has been remapped to sort a few issues but still tries to do a regen when it feels like it causing massive smoke for 5 mins. My supposedly genuine PP2000 worked once then bricked. Do I have to go see someone with genuine dealer diagnostics old chap? Thanks in advance.
Hi & thanks for watching!.. sorry but I haven’t had to plug in to one of these this new, I would think the only way to fix this is a DPF delete & remap if not already done - although I think most remappers would like to work on an original file so you would be best in my opinion getting a software update done first, I’m not sure if it is possible with genuine dealer tool or not, mine is an old copy version..
@@JC-ECUConnection Thanks for quick reply pal, it has had Ad-blue delete, EGR delete, Cat & DPF delete, etc.. its a total electronic dog.... these get to just over 3 years old, the adblue is first to go, injector first then adblue level meaning new tank etc, never worked on a worse van. Might have to buy it back from the customer now. He is very patient but running out of options.
hallo i am from the netherlands and i have a grande punto from 2006 with exact the same issues flashing miles and all airbag lights i went and bought a second hand airbag ecu with the same numbers and is still the same still the u172687 code and showing removed at the proxI so i still have no entrance to the ecu to do a alignment, what can i do next is there a next step i can take or call you guys can you please respond to this so i can know what to do next thank you
Are you saying you have no comms with your donor unit?.. if so it’s either a faulty donor or you have a wiring problem - first you will need to check powers & grounds at the ECU plug..
I posted a ten point summarisation of the video content but YT censored it deleted it. Anyway the video is not the whole story there was something going on that's edited out showing how to set up a donor BSI
Hi & thanks for watching, I’m not sure what you are referring to? We are showing here our solution to a customers vehicle which a company had lost their BSI, so a quick easy fix for us is to switch the immobiliser off from the ECU, adapt the VIN in BSI & set BSI mileage to zero so it doesn’t affect the dash & program new remote keys to the BSI so the remote central locking works, not every step was recorded as many of our services are not for public viewing, we are a business & obviously can’t give all of our secret techniques away! Which part of the BSI setting up process are you interested in knowing more about?

Hi I have a bmw e90 that has had the ecu, cas and speedo replaced and it works fine but obviously the vin is different from the car which shows up on diagnostic. Is it possible to change the vin using Autel or would you be able to do it if I send the ecu and cas to you?
This is the exact reason we do not recommend fitting whole kits! We can only help if you put EVERYTHING back to original & then we should be able to program the actual module that needs replacing: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
How can I get in touch with you? I have some questions because my volvo is badic edition so it is without reverse camers or P assistance. Display looks different and the steering wheel has no wheel button
We took a 500L partX. We fitted a used ecu kit for the previous owner as the engine ecu had a fault. There was only 1 difference the kit came from a car with a knee airbag and this car doesn't have one. With the full kit fitted the airbag light was on and only fault was knee airbag. With the original airbag module fitted no faults but flashing mileage and wouldn't proxi align. It's been running fine this way for some time now it needs fixing before we sell it on again.
That’s the problem with fitting an ECU kit!.. it would of been MUCH better to have replaced just the faulty engine ECU, this could of been easily cloned from your original ECU or virginised.. if you still have the original kit then I would advise you put it all back to original & fix it by doing this.. if you have thrown the original kit away then you’ve made a big mistake!!
@@JC-ECUConnection we have still got the original bits that was my thoughts from the start it wasn't my call then though. Can you do the engine ecu repair

very informative, i myself managed to successfully replace the screen, but still have a problem with the fuel gauge (was faulty before). When reassembling and attaching the needles, the fuel gauge always went to a different position, same with a replacement stepper motor. Since i couldnt solve the issue i put the original stepper motor and everything back together and into the car. But now the needle stay at off position and low fuel light/beep comes on all the time. Before i opened the cluster for the screen replacement i also suspected the sending unit to maybe be the problem, but with the needle going crazy at the bench without the signal, the cluster itself must be the problem, or am i wrong with that?
Hi & thanks! These units are pretty old now & can have many problems with dry joints, usually on the SMD resistors - best to reflow all of them on the board, also the software in the 2J47Y can get corrupted or the 2J47Y itself can be faulty & also the voltage regulator can give problems.. good luck & give these items a look!
Very useful thanks for sharing. I found electrical wire wasn't stiff enough., but, luckily my other half sews so I managed to find a large sewing needle that did the job,
I have error of bcm in diagnosis but in real I have a blinking light of glow plug in dash and poor fuel economy in my corsa d 2008. It's consumers 10 litre per 100 km and RPM jumps from 800 to 1000 . Please help if anyone have any idea about this problm
If my intrument cluster is not working and totally blank or sometimes only speedo working but rev counter and fuel gauge is not working, is it anything to do with the FEM module? Thanks!
Hi, thanks for watching!.. sorry but I am unable to help diagnose this fault but my instinct is that you most probably have a faulty instrument cluster / wiring fault & most probably not a faulty FEM module..
Hi there. Im from South Africa 🇿🇦. I have a issue with my Citroën C1 2007 model. I lost my key and got a new one. Linked it ti the immobilizer but doesn't want to start. It crank. I have no Spark and don't hear the petrol pump when I turn the key. Any advise for me please???
Firstly the key transponder must be programmed to the immobiliser, then if it doesn’t start you will need to perform the 30 minute process with the link in the OBD socket as in the video..
@@preveledgegondo8727 how was the transponder programmed to the Immo? By eeprom? What type of transponder was used? Which transponder programming tool was used? What Diag tool are you using for diagnosis? Do you have comms with the Immo? What fault codes do you have? Have you performed wiring tests? If so then what tests have you performed? Maybe if you can give concise answers to all the questions above then maybe I could guide you in the right direction…
Good day. Just to keep you up to date. I got a computer box from a donor C1. The engine light is on now. What I have noticed is that there are no spark and the fuel pump is not switching on. What might the problem be now. Thanks
Why use the tool at the end to clone when the first two gave you the data needed to clone, just interested. Aside from giving you the password what would be the reason? curious.
The first & 2nd tools (VVDI & O5) do not read the full data on some of these units & does not clone them correctly, although it does give us enough information to read the password, we can then access the full data with the 3rd tool, also this tool accesses the data via CANBUS, we can therefore verify the units power up correctly after programming so we can make sure the units haven’t ‘bricked’, thanks for watching!
In theory yes, but it may be coded differently - for example the kit may be coded differently for auto / manual gearbox, your VIN number will be wrong & will always flag a fault when you have a diagnostic scan, dealer supplied keys will not work if you ever need to purchase one & the mileage will be different in the CAS & the cluster so this may cause a tamper dot issue. Personally I would avoid being a ‘Scrapyard mechanic’ and send it to us for cloning! www.ecuconnection.co.uk
I had an issue with one of these bcm faulty brake light output. I purchased second hand bcm of same part number and sent off to an ebay programmer. When plugged in, it started car but all lights were stuck on, flashers brakes etc. So we sent the programmer another second hand unit to program, same result!! So had to plug in original unit for now. After seeing your videos i may attempt myself with vvdi, i didnt realise you could do it without splitting the boards. Thank you
Thanks for watching, VVDI doesn’t work on all boards, we only use it to read the EEPROM to gain access to the units PIN number, we then use other tools to clone the BCM, my advice is to first test fit a donor unit, make sure there is no brake light faults then send us the unit to us to be cloned properly.. or get the eBay programmer to put the donor files back into your donor unit, test fit it again & then if all ok send it to us to do it, for more info visit our website: ecuconnection.co.uk/product/volvo-v40-body-control-module-cem-module-fusebox-lear-programming-service/

Hello there, firstly I wanna say this is great video and you have a great RU-vid channel, thanks for sharing it with us 😊 secondly, I’d like to ask.. I’m after an excellent diagnostics tool/machine that can pretty much do it all.. including coding and programming. my top 3 picks are the Phoenix SMART, the Autel Ultra Lite S and the Launch X431 Pad VII Elite.. from your experience which one would you recommend is the best out of these 3 ? ..unless you can recommend something else??? Thanks. 😊
Hi & thanks for watching! All these brands are good, Personally I would choose the Thinkcar Max, it’s software is Launch based (Same as Topdon) or the Think max lite, the advantage of these tools is the remote programming functions on top of the built in programming / coding functions, you can also add on the key programming module if that’s needed further down the line, more info here: ecuconnection.co.uk/product-category/think-tool/
@@JC-ECUConnectionThank you for the reply back. I really appreciate your advice 👍🏽 but I can’t seem to find many long-term reviews of the Thinkcar Max or Max Lite version.. if I was able to wait for discounts, good deals, etc and not be in a rush to buy ..would the Thinkcar Max or Lite version still be your first choice? Is it that much better than the 3 models I mentioned previously above? What’s Thinkcar’s after sales/reputation like? have you had any experience or issues with them with regards to getting help with the previous models of Thinkcar, and possibly thinking.. maybe you should have gone with a different brand? Sorry I’m only asking because I cannot find much information on long-term reviews or feedback with Thinkcar as a company and was just wondering if you could share or assure me with confidence if I choose to buy the Max or Max Lite version over the 3 models mentioned above with your experience of using/owning all these latest models? 😊
@@smithandjohns so far we have not had any problems with Think car tools, we have been using them for 2 years, they are effectively the same as Launch & Topdon, except the identical Launch tool is £1,300 more expensive - Also Launch remote diagnostics are tied to one provider, whereas the Think car remote service is more of an open system with independent remote providers (Us being one), the Think max is already a very good deal as it comes with a 4 channel scope, TPMS wand, Bluetooth battery tester & a borescope included, these items alone are worth apx £1,500, I don’t think the price will drop for proper authorised U.K. tools (Chinese imports will not have remote function working), as for backup, I understand it’s hard trusting a company that is fairly new - established in 2018 (6 years) but so far we’ve not had any problems..

Hi, nice video, i have also a MK5 and I have a question. Is it possible to swith the instrument cluster for the one with big display. The one which is in it is the one with smaller display, and I was wondering if it is possible to do such a thing, and does it need a lot of work to do or is it just plug the other one with big display and do the coding? Good point! I didn’t actually reset the KM in the FEM module during the cloning operation, I did wonder whether I had to do it manually, I think this may be done by to tool during the process, it didn’t have any mileage issues after programming..
Possibly, to be fair I should of connected the Autel again after connecting the charger, I only noticed how low the battery was after watching the video back.. if I get another Aygo in for Diag work like this I will compare scan tools again, thanks for watching & your comment!
@@Doctor_88 I have found on previous jobs (Check the Immo video I made) that the Launch based diagnostic tools have better access to the Immo system, and diagnosing under ‘Toyota Aygo’ also gives you ‘Topology view’ whereas the Autel doesn’t, hopefully I can do a follow up video soon comparing them & maybe Snapon Diag tools as well..
