The reason some people think there was no "Filmways presentation" tag at the end of PJ was for many years, the "Viacom presentation" tag was shown at the end instead of the original Filmways tag.
I’ve been watching Kojak after discovering it on the GET network between The Rockford Files and Quincy M.E. in the evening. I still love this opening theme music. I was later disappointed back in the day when the theme changed and when Theo wore a different fedora.
Looked-up the theme tune because of a dream last night…I had a cleaner but she could not make it, so a substitute cleaner arrived…Telly Savalas. When he got busy I said to him “this isn’t your usual thing.” Laughing most of the morning after. Some dream expert explain that one to me please?
On the titles themselves the 1st ,2nd and 4th image shots of Telly was from the pilot 'The Marcus Nelson Murders' and the 3rd image shot was from Season 1 Episode 3 'One For The Morgue' that got used.

This beautiful song is so gorgeous and contemporary that it still translates and sounds as young and fresh as 1969 was ! A beautiful song of a forever love. I'm so darn angry that the fantastic music from this series was never transfered digitally. Shame on the people at Fox and Paramount for letting it "rot away" in the vaults. I've tryed so hard to group people together on this , but to no avail. Charles Fox's compositions for this breezy, swinging series are iconic and a part of our pop culture history. So sad , he is a master story teller through his instrumental offerings. There was some much more music than appeared on that stingy 1973 album from Capital , but it's all I've got so I treasure it dearly. ❤️🤍💙🤍♥️
I’m depressed now. I miss these times. What a different world it was then. Sitting up on school night’s watching love boat with my grandparents who have passed away. 😔
As a kid i grew up in Louisiana watching this movie mystery show. I can honestly say that Henry Mancini is boss ! The detective guy in the background shining a flashlight into the camera is exhilarating as no orher tv show had that start! Iroside was cool, Kojak, Mccloud, Culombo, and others like Starsky and Hutch by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg. Swat with Steve Forrest.
