Welcome to my Kitchen! I'm Leigh Anne, the mother of four adult children and my husband and I are now empty nesters.
I know the challenges of learning to cook for just the 2 of you, it feels like learning to cook all over again! After the kids left home, I found that I stopped making a lot of our family's favorite dishes and treats because those recipes just made too much food and I was tempted to eat too much!
On this channel, I invite you into my kitchen each week where we learn how to make small batch recipes with big taste. You can still enjoy all those family favorite recipes, just less of it!
I look forward to meeting you in the kitchen each week with a new recipe and video.
You can find all my recipes on my website at www.yourhomebasedmom.com.

I realize steaks are somewhat more safe, but you cross-contaminating that steak - you cannot put raw product (your bloody plate) with cooked product (the semi-cooked beef) together. This is like home cook 101 - next time just grab a clean plate.
I've been eating and cooking rhubarb forever, and I've never heard of peeling it either. You're right. It completely softens when it's cooked. So yummy! 🎉
planning on adding rhubarb to my grocery pickup list for this week and cooking with it for the first time!! but i have a couple of questions. for the crisp, is the butter cold, room temp or softened? and then if i wanted it to be thicker and less soupy, could i mix in 2tsp or maybe 1 tbsp cornstarch with the strawberry rhubarb?
Been looking for a personal sized PB pie recipe. Thank you. Out of curiosity, how much whipped cream did that amount of heavy whipping cream make? Just asking to see how much from a tub of Cool whip should be used (1/3, half or 2/3 cup) if I just wanted to make a batch quickly without making my own whipped cream? Thank you for your help. Cant wait to try it.
Kia ora from New Zealand. Thanks for the video. I make a rhubarb, apple and blueberry crumble. I usually put mixed spice into my topping. I believe digestive biscuits would be the equivalent to your graham Crackers. We have rhubarb growing in the garden and I chop it up and bag it into two cup lots and freeze it. Take care.
Why does no one give me a weight! I don't care how many cups! I need to know how much to buy cus I don't want to have to go back out to the store! Like how many cups does a lb container roughly make?! I don't know cus no one tells me!
Hi, great recipe! Followed recipe, but cooked as cupcakes in toaster oven. The chocolatey taste is perfect! ❤❤❤ Love the smaller batch recipes; thank you for all your research and effort!
Unfortunately You Tube does not provide a way for recipes to printed directly from You Tube. The best you can do is copy and paste into a word document and print from there.
I tried this recipe and it came out great! The bread did not survive the end of day! :) Given the short rise times I will try this with instant yeast--it saves time by eliminating the proofing step. King Arthur Flour recommends instant yeast for french bread.
I've made these several times now.. they are AWESOME, even if you keep forgetting to add the flaky salt because you get distracted... Thank you Lee Ann, your recipes are soooo good.
I have made scones(1batch) before and did not like how they turned out. I happened to come upon your video and figured I’d give it a shot(small batch so not much would be wasted). I chose to make the apricot almond scones and they came out so delicious. I definitely plan on making these again and again. Thanks so much.
Over the past week I made this at least 4x. It is perfection. My disposable 5 inch pans just came in, so on today's menu is your triple berry/razzleberry pie. I know its going to be phenomenal.
@@LeighAnneWilkes I'm not kidding I just pulled it out of the oven again! I think the homemade crust is what takes it over the top, because the store bought crust with the triple berry really took away from it, knowing how delicious this galette crust is especially!
Great small batch recipe for buttermilk cornbread! Perfect portion. Thanks for sharing. Be advised, when making this recipe you should follow the written instructions as opposed the verbal instructions in the video. That is on the advice of Leigh Anne.
I have a banana muffin recipe, just add in some chopped nuts, 1/4 cupru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dzKDM_XSsKM.htmlsi=SYkFoH6iDW-PipWm
As always these chocolate muffins look amazing. Can you use the change the oven temperature in order to get a high dome for cupcakes as well? Thank you for your consideration.
