This is a pretty sweet bike that I built with a friend has a lot of power, the purpose of this video is to showcase the bike, but also show what the bike looks like with a different style of tank that's not so difficult to install check out my other videos on RU-vid on the Honda shadow 750 tank option for a how to... Thanks for your view

Thank you so much for your videos! You've motivated me to get the pandemonium tank for my 07 Shadow 750 because that gigantic stock tank is ugly! Did you just trash the speedometer when you switched tanks? Also, what do you do with the overflow tube on the right hand side of the tank?
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 4 года назад
Hi, sorry for the late reply.. anything and everything that we could shed off of these bikes we did, however, make sure you check you're local laws before doing those types of things, In Utah (USA) we don't have safety inspections anymore, so we can get away with it, but depending where or where in the world you live, may not be a good idea. the tube (I'm assuming thats what your talking about?) on the right hand side of the tank is a external GAS GAUGE, super nice touch that company does, now you know how low you're getting on fuel when your out. Hope this helps some.
@morgenholz79

@@bannanapancake when I watched your video, I thought that looked a lot like Utah. That's where I am, too, so it's good to know that I don't have to worry about the speedometer, etc. I can't wait to get this tank on! Thanks again!

@bannanapancake

hey, thanks for the comment, that's actually a stock tire for that particular bike. we have a few white walls running in our little circle at the moment, they look pretty flashy out on rides!

Hey man, I’m from Aus and love these bikes. I’m looking at buying a Honda 750 chain drive. I got a question about whether to go a older model like this one 2007 or the new 750S 2014 model? I will be turning it into a bobber
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 6 лет назад
If money isn't a huge concern, newer can sometimes be better, the 14's are fuel injected, which means better cold starts and altitude reliability, I haven't heard many complaints. The older ones as you probably know are carbureted. both got minor pros and cons. The older the bike the more oldskool feel it will have for sure, can't go wrong with chain drive, shaft driven bikes don't have the appeal when it comes to old school, but mechanically might have better output to the floor and other safety things. my pick would be for a little older. but you know, have fun with your own research, there are guys who like the clean and shiny bobber look with chrome and what, and then there's the backyard spray painter, that will put anything on his bike and make it look "ratted" out...I fall somewhere in between. hope this helps some:)

Yeah we've tried it, then realized just another thing to attach/weight and what, so we just leave them bare like that, most people are taller than 4 foot, so you really don't see it to much only at certain angles. thanks for the comment:)

@jessespears495

How did you do your air filter set up?
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 8 лет назад
First off l, if you have high air flow you' most likely need to re jet the carbs (I don't know if you know that or not) for this particular bike I used a stage 3 kit from DYNO JET. Once the carbs have been done, we used the stock intake hose and cut it to length so the pods could sit snug next to the bike, you can use a piece of PVC pipe to connect the pods to the actual hose itself if you need to, just make sure your pods fit over the pipe and not underneath it....looks for one thing and keeping the diameter of the hose (air flow) roughly the same will help the performance, its like having big lungs but deciding to run with a straw in your mouth. hope this helps mang!!!

Awesome bike!!!! How did you do the acid on the tank? Does it have a clear coat ?
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 7 лет назад
Matt Ortiz - it's a product called "Blacken it" you can find it in eBay. You just paint it on with a brush, it works fast and the longer you leave it on the darker it gets, so you'll have to work fast. You can sand it off if it all goes haywire. And yes it does have a clear on it. Hope this helps;)

Hi bro, please help me understanding how do you install the seat and the stop light.
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 4 года назад
Its not easy to explain over the web like this, would be better with a video for sure if anything, but I'll just say it takes welding up seat posts on the rear crossmember and fabrication for the lighting brackets.

I have a Bobber shadow 600 VLX could you tell me what size clamps you used for your signal lights on the front forks? I seem to be having a problem with this I'm guessing 51mm?
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 4 года назад
Sorry for the late reply, life's crazy right now:) We fabricated and attached these brackets on the lower fork tension clamps. So the screws that make those clamps tighten down on the forks? both sides..we attached the brackets to those screws and attached the lights to those brackets, securing a good electrical ground through the process. fork diameters varied through the years 88-97? So the best thing to do if your needing a measurement is to use some calipers. hope this answer finds you in time.

What about the speedo. I think I'm Canada we have to have one. Is there a way to mount the stock speedo somewhere?
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 7 лет назад
The speedometer with the 750's is a tricky one, the stock one is mounted in the gas tank (not that It couldn't be taken out) I have never had anyone that really wanted to keep it. there are aftermarket speedometers that you can get that are a lot smaller and sleeker to keep the bulkiness out of the bike, but if saving money is a factor, it might take some ingenuity to make it work. Google; "speedometer relocation bobber" and you'll get some ideas on how you could do it, my suggestion is to try and mount it down on the lower part of the triple tree, (the cable will be allowed to pivot more freely with the forks as they turn rather than the stretching effect you'll get mounting it to the frame) the only draw back is you might run out of turning room on the mounted side, what I mean by that is your speedometer will smack into the engine itself, there's not much room for anything down there when your forks are turned hardover....hope this make sense, Good luck with it, and thanks for your comment!:)

@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 7 лет назад
Zr2Offroader- those tips or down turns fit perfectly inside the circumference of the heat shield we simply screwed in the bolts (from the tips) into the exhaust pipe and wrapped it all up, we actually wrapped a bit more to compensate for those clamps you see, we really wanted to use those at the moment. We got the tips from O'Riley's (if your in the states) hope this helps..

Where's the battery? I didn't see it. Lol
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 5 лет назад
If you don't mind, I'm just going to copy and paste the info from someone who asked the same question, saves everyone time; Hey man, thank for the comments and questions.. The battery is kind of a tricky one, there's not a lot of room on that bike or bikes in general, so if the current won't work, then you gotta think a little smaller:) Micro batteries are a good option on bikes these days, being small they pack a punch in the amps and can fit into tiny spaces that a normal battery won't... The downside is that they'll cost you almost double of what a normal battery would. I'm unclear of what shadow you have, but if its a 750 spirit, that bike is composed of squarer tubing (Frame) if you can find the down tube that runs behind the engine, but before the rear wheel, you'll notice that particular tube (square). You'll need to do a few things at this point, you'll need to weld on a small tray (make sure to disconnect your existing battery entirely before welding) at the bottom of that tube. There is enough room for a full-size battery under there, I have mounted one before, but it's really tight and makes changing them out a real pain. the smaller battery will give you the extra room to work around them a bit. after you weld on a small tray to hold the battery, you'll need to glue on some foam or a chunk of yoga matt or anything that will absorb the vibration for the battery. After all that is done, just plan on lengthening your battery cables at least a foot, because if you remember the battery used to sit higher and closer to the ignition, so you'll need to lengthen them for sure.
@Basement31
