After my 1988 CRX Si B16A transmission failed, I decided to pull everything out of the engine bay, re-paint it, and swap in a B18C Type R engine and transmission.

I have an EP3, i love my car but there's nothing more beautiful than popping a hood & seeing a B16 or B18 sitting in the engine bay, im an old school fool & my heart will always belong to the original classics

Very nice video, as always. Don’t scrap the blue CRX though, maybe someone’s willing to restore it to its former glory. Every CRX scrapped is a great loss if you ask me.

You couldn't go wrong with b series vtec even k is powerful and great engine but nothing can replace the original i feel inlove in honda thru b16b. Love your channel man and build but when can we see the eg8 videos. Would love to see you build other ef chassi like ef sedan or ef civic hatch as well.

You could probably recoup a lot of money in part that blue car out. It may take some time, but it is worth it. I'm looking forward to seeing the swap into the black CRX.

The issue is the time and effort it takes to ship everything. I don’t have any local Honda people that would purchase. I’ll sell the roller complete and someone else can part out if they desire.

Depends on the K-series, but no, it mainly because I got this one cheap and it’s an easier swap.

Can you put a basic d15 in it and just make it a clean daily and sell it for $2500? Guarantee someone will be very happy to have a clean running crx daily even if the rear is chewed up a little.

“Clean” is not a word I would describe the DX CRX car as. It’s smashed and rusted in the rear. Someone could technically install an engine and drive it with some work but it is not going to be worth my time to do. I will sell the shell very cheap once I’m done with it.

Hey, i am from Germany. I had a Honda civic ec8. That was my best Car i ever had. I had a accident with it. The Car was totaly broken. Since i search for a ec8. But there is no Chance.

In Germany. The car was absolutely the best. 75 PS, and it needs nearly no fuel.
