20-Minute Total Body Workout for Strong Bones (Moderate Intensity) // ‪@DrLisaMooreDPT‬
/ brickhousebones | • Brick House Bones
Join me for a total body workout for strong muscles and bones! This one is a 20-minute moderate intensity workout routine infused with all of the benefits of the Brick House Bones Method: Strength, Balance, Posture, and Impact.
You'll need 2 dumbbells and a band if you've got them!
I'll be demonstrating dumbbell squats with bicep curl & overhead press and tricep reach.
We will also be doing a version of a jump...with modifications if you need them!
Then we will finish off with a posture exercise down on the mat.

I am an active 71 year old. I was diagnosed via Dexa scan in my early 60’s with osteo penia and then in 2019 and 2021 with osteoporosis. I had a fall in March 2020 with no fracture. I will probably have another dexa in 2025. Dr. lisa, I loved this workout. And I love everything on Brick House Bones. I love the way you teach! Thank you. i am so glad I found you.

I was diagnosed after a fall and fracture. Fell off my bike trying to catch my puppy who tried to jump out of the bike basket. Love your series.

Shoulder fracture & then a Dexa Scan showing OP. I knew I would never take the drugs so I avoided getting the scan. I’ve always been so physically active. Now at 73 I found your exercise program which s so specific & targets what I should be doing . Thank you Dr. Lisa.

Hyperparathyroidism diagnosis followed by a DEXA Scan that showed osteoporosis and osteopenia. These 20-25 minute videos are perfect to fit into my day. And I find I'm much more motivated to begin--and finish--a 20 minute video than one that is longer.

Diagnosed by PCP after she ordered a DEXA 12 years ago...started on Prolia for a few years, went off...unfortunately suffered 12 compression fractures in my spine. Had Kyphoplasty fill 9 of them, this was the end of 2020. Just now realizing how much weights matter. No one ever told men what to do to help myself. So glad I found your facebook group.

Thank you for these full length workouts, Lisa! I am a long-time exerciser just diagnosed through a DEXA scan. I found out about you from a FB OP support group. Now that I'm focused on bone health, and am happy to find your OP-specific content. Using enough weight and increasing repetitions, I'm able to modify the exercises to my fitness level. Diagnosed with a DEXA scan last year. I’ve had osteopenia for the last few years but my doctor assured me that my active lifestyle and good diet would keep this in check. I feel really let down by her. As I’ve learned more I have realized that there’s so much more I should’ve been doing. I love your videos. I feel so much stronger after each one. Thank you!

Loved this one! My DEXA score revealed the OP. My doctor was on board with my having a plan to build better bone density naturally. I was diagnosed a few years ago with Celiac and that is most likely the cause of my OP. But my blood tests this time showed great improvement in my levels after addressing the Celiac and now am confident I can tackle this too. Thank you for the guidance.

Diagnosed 20yr ago. Been on meds off n on. Walking the only exercise I did. 3yr ago I started doing more exercise. Dexa this week. Hopeful. I feel stronger than I have ever been at 74. So glad I found you!

Thank you! I definitely prefer videos like this over the shorter week by week videos. I am at risk for osteoporosis because of the medications that I am on. My dexa scan showed my hip at osteopenia levels, spine was good though.

Thank you for this routine, I loved it, Lots of variety in your programmes, exercises I've never tried before keep me from getting bored. I found it just the right combination of difficulty. I discovered I had osteopenia because my mum had osteoporosis and the doctor recommended a dexa scan. Trying to up my weight bearing exercise as jogging has not turned this around for me.

Routine Dexa Scan in December 2023 revealed Osteopenia. Femur@ -1.6. Lumbar@-2.2. On a mission to reverse or at least stop progression. Doing my Brick House Bones exercises (I have them listed on a white board each week)and eating a healthy Whole Foods, plant based diet. Greatly appreciate this channel and your teaching. Thank you!

Hi Lisa! I’ve been following you since week 1 and started doing the “ 30 minute osteoporosis workout” 3 times a week for the last three weeks which I really enjoy. Other days I do a mix of exercises from different weeks. I tried this one today and it felt great. I was diagnosed with osteopenia a few years ago. I was taking prolia but I decided to stop and follow your exercises instead. Thank you so much for your time.

Great class , thank you. I found out about my osteoporosis through dexa scan. I had a radical hysterectomy at 50 after uterine cancer was discovered . My bone density has continued to decrease over the last 16 years. Although I have been strength training for the last 5 years. I finally decided to take teriparatide daily injections last year. My aim is to avoid fractures and keep my muscles strong. Thank you for your site and help.

Hi! I loved this routine! It feels wonderful to do something to help my bones! I learned I had osteoporosis from a Dexa scan after being diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) because I was now on prednisone for the PMR and I wanted to make sure the medicine wasn’t going to hurt my bones, but my bones were already hurting before the meds and I had no clue! I am doing my best with diet and exercise and supplements to keep whatever bones I have intact and I am trying to get off the prednisone as soon as possible, but it’s a slow taper! ! Thank you so much Dr. Lisa for sharing with us all your valuable wisdom! I do appreciate all your advice. I also love your pace and, as a teacher, I have to say you are wonderful to listen to with your explicit directions and words of encouragement as we go through the routines.

Dexa scan routine ,osteopenia. Jumping is kinda hard for me BEC of pelvic issue,otherwise l do those easier ones.

I found out I had osteo is when I fell and broke my shoulder started fosomax and then broke my right wrist and left hand, then my knee cap
