Enjoy your awesome car bro! What a wonderful spirit 😁 ❤️ owned a 2010 ST myself, and loved that car so much. It's the 2.5l , fire-breathing 5pot. That noise the engine made was intoxicating 😅❤From South Africa
Best video review I’ve seen in a while. Why? Because you have the camera positioned so I can see the gear shift action and out the windshield too. Looks like the box shifts smoothly. Good video, thank you. Well done!
Really Cool Video. You did an amazing job demonstrating the pros of the Focus st. Planning on getting this and spending time with my dad spinning rubber in the country roads!!
Very nice video. You did a great job. Laid back and informative. I just got a 2018 ST 3 two weeks ago for 23,900. I'm loving it. Just got the windows tinted today.
Late comment but I just bought an ST3 It's being delivered on Tuesday getting it remmapped to 300BHP but the best part is the person who had it before us got it remapped to 250BHP . I can't FREAKING WAITTT!!!!
Love this review! I just signed for a 2017 Ford Focus ST (ST2 package) in Shadow Black as well, so I was thrilled to find your video of the same car that I will be driving by the end of the week! How was the stock turbo sound compared to after putting the CAI in?
Test drove one of these bad boys today.... it sure does go when you put your foot down! Shame I was stuck in traffic and didn't get to experience the full power, but just going from crawling at 10 to then 35/40 2/3 seconds later demonstrates the power it has, clutch is good and light too, same with the throttle, doesn't require much effort to get it moving quickly. Bought it in the end, 17 plate with 6,000 miles on it, Deep impact blue, really nice colour. Getting to pick it up on Tuesday after work.
Love your car man, I want one bad myself. I currently have an SVT Focus 03. She’s a beauty but I figured it would be a good time to get something modern and fun to drive. I myself am 19, how much did you put down on your car? I was curious to see if I could get approved for payments. I’d probably trade in my SVT if I had to.
Good review man and liking the Ken doll hair do 🤣 I've been torn between the ST and the Golf GTI but I think the ST is the one for me. Got some BIG saving to do but it's what I want! I'd love one EXACTLY how yours is n all, night rider style!!
Sergi Rodas Did you?! That's great to know! I think id have it remapped too, they call it a quantum tune over here in the UK, takes it to about 280bhp, ups the torque and makes it slightly more fuel efficient, all for about £300 which pays itself overtime I guess when you look at the fuel savings. Beautiful car man and I think you've made my mind up! No doubt working for Ford however, you'll know the new Focus is on its way! Can you give us any insider info?! 😁
I no shit learned to drive stick in my friends st in like 10secs, the clutch is so smooth and so are the gears, it's a very forgiving transmission perfect fr learning
Getting a '18 model soon! Do you know what's the difference between '17 and '18? How do you mount your camera as well to do your videos? Last one would be, is it good for long driving as in daily for 150 miles/day?
83U Tan there’s no difference between the models. This was with a GoPro mounted on the sunroof with a suction cup. It was comfortable indeed. I had the recaros and they were nice
goshensquash its a GoPro camera. I have the GoPro suction cup, mounted it upside down on the sun roof and just change the perspective view on the GoPro. Might upload a video soon, lots of people ask
If you search you can get them secondhand for as almost brand new. Unfortunately cars costs alot of money but i'm dedicated to get one day. Are you planning on slight modding? (Head and tail lights, exhaust etc) Cheers!
Personally, I downshift as you have more control over the car that way, though you can toss it in neutral, you wear your brakes out faster and you don't have as much traction.
Anyone know if the Front wheel drive is a big let down? I’m planning on getting this for my first car but after hearing it’s not rear/all wheel I was kind’ve disappointed
I bought a Kona Blue ST1 back in October. It's really fun to drive. The torque steer isn't bad either in 90% of driving either. Mine is all stock and plan to keep it that way. I like the symposer sound personally. I'm really happy with it aside from a little creaking coming from the passenger side hatch area at slower speeds. Having the dealer look at it as I couldn't fix by adjusting the bump stops.
I must say my friend go review. I am serious about that because must reviews in which I been watching did not focus on the drivability of the car in your video. I notice how smooth and manageable the car is really is. Most of the time the reviewers talk through the whole video and focus on the negative. Previously, from the videos I viewed, I thought the Focus ST was too powerful and not manageable, because of it not having all wheel drive. You put a different light on the car and it worth me in considering.
Terrance Moore that means a lot man, I'm glad I was able to help. Lots of people review cars and talk the whole time. I like to do a point of view for my viewers while I drive so viewers can see the driving through my eyes. I appreciate the comment
Terrance Moore I test drove one and was expecting crazy torque steer. I really didnt notice any. I was impressed with the way it corners. Handling is great and so much fun. Great car
Joseph Hollett wet roads and stuff is fine. As far as snow, I haven’t really gotten much to put it to the rest here where I live. Definitely won’t be as good as truck. The car is very torquey so in first gear it spins. Recommend pulling out in 2nd
Sergi Rodas Does the cold air intake void the factory warranty? That would be the first mod I’d do to it as well. Big difference in acceleration turbo sounds with the cold air intake? Nice review by the way.
Lalo Cruz you might want to test out those recaro seats before you buy they are very snug. The base model has cloth seats which have less aggressive bolstering.
I'm 6'0 300lbs and the recaros were really tight around the sides. I wasn't uncomfortable but they're not joking when they say that the seats are aggressive af lol
Why do you knock it out of gear when you approach a turning or junction..... here in the UK you’d fail you’re driving test for that as you’re deemed as not having the car under control
Billy Reyes yes acceleration is very good on the low end of this car. Definitely puts you back in your seat. There's 3 different trim levels for this car so price varies but it's affordable. My payment is around $330 a month.
It just depends on whatever you’re comfortable paying a month. Someone might buy with no money down or they want a lower payment so they’ll save for a down payment
Nice man! The ST has a lot to offer and it’s affordable. My payment was like $330, 3K down. If you’ve been saving for a while, you should have a great payment
bro you need to learn how to drive a manual properly, you shouldnt take it out of gear and ride the clutch up to a junction , just cruise down in second and change down to first when you stop, not a dig, just some advice x
Totally agree with you. Modern Toyota's is NOT more reliable than a Ford. Through the bench, Ford makes beter quality products. Even compared to VW. When new, they may look nicer, but a few years on and the Ford ages better than either Toyota or VW. The build quality ,for the money , not to mention the performance per buck. Watching this in 2023 and this car aged wonderfully ... Looks, performance , everything ! 💙
