With all due respect, I found this review biased. It's very strange that Seth would criticize the price when Nike 's Marathon shoe is priced higher ( 274.95$) and Heavier at 7.4 oz. The ASICS's shoe is the same price. as Adidas. The super is super light and breathable. The shoes is super responsive and cushioned! I just don't understand why he was so negative.

Thing is as with all lightstrike pro shoes, you need to break them in. Reviewing them from new is no good, they are nearly always bolt rigid and have little in the way of comfort. Put 100 miles on them first, they'll come alive like my Takumi Sen 8 have. As for lockdown, reverse the lacing so it's bottom up it'll fix any issues it's common with Adidas.
@levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183
Agree their reverse lacing makes getting into the shoes and cinching them very arduous. I have the Takumi Sen8 (adore it-wore it out of the box on BolderBoulder10K, hard course net uphill and had nothing but good vibes with the shoe without break-in period) and haven’t gotten around to re-lacing them. Lockdown was great but god forbid you have to loosen or tighten them during a longer race, right?

@nickatnite16 well played, sir! I thought Prime X uses the same foam which I find so bouncy so I was surprised that the Pro 3 was described as “not very forgiving.” I guess I’ll have to see how Ko and the other reviewers would compare 😉 @darren bray it is amazing! I use it for all types of runs and it does go fast, but I prefer it for recovery. 16 miles moderate today though and ankles felt fine. The thing I love most about it is it really helps with recovery bc it really minimizes the impact with each step. I bet it would be a great shoe after a workout in the Pro 3!

I do not get this burning sensation on the other running shoes (hoka mach 4 and the asics novablast). Anyone has any idea whats causing this burning sensation?
@levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183
I now Kofuzi had v2 and after a while he was feeling those carbon infused rods which were closer to the feet in that version. So that may be what you’re feeling. V3 fixed that according to his recent initial testing. They made the rods a single unit and perhaps they are farther from the feet.

I just tested alphafly 3 and metaspeed sky 3 and switch from VF2 to adios pro 3 for next marathon. Because AP 3 is more comfy in the fore and mid foot. AF just hurts after 5 min threadmill. Metaspeed sky is to narrow in the midfoot. Also the rod system benefits my running, because normally I do barefoot all day and training in the altra Torin (have the 5th pair already). Regarding Marathon, my major limit is hurting feet. :)

Ran a marathon with these a couple of weeks ago. Before these, I only used Mizuno Wave Prophecy's for my Marathons. It takes some getting used to. Tips/Pros/Cons: Break them in as much as you can before a big run. I changed out the soles. I think it helped. Although 'light', it doesn't cushion the top part of your foot. It sort of makes you drag at times. i.e, it doesn't fit snug. Better on my joints; overall. It did have me aching in other parts of the body (in comparison to the Mizuno) my backside of my body. Put about 45-50 miles in these and the bounce is wearing. I would say maybe 50-100 miles max then maybe get a new pair; expensive as it is. I don't think I will use Mizunos for these big runs anymore. I do, however, want to try the Nike's everyone mentions in these videos. 7/10

I like them so far. They are totally long run shoes for sure. But once you get up to a good pace you can lock in and just go forever it feels like. Much more stable than the pro 2s Agreed on the tongue but I don’t feel the notch whatsoever. I don’t find myself rolling at all. These shoes will need more break in time like all LSP shoes but once I get 50 miles I’m sure they’ll be as cloud-like as all light strike pro shoes. I really like them but they aren’t “fun” shoes. These are serious marathon shoes for long runs specifically. I really wish SJD would get over his bias against adidas because this isn’t a fair assessment of the shoe whatsoever. Please DO a follow up on the "missing chuck of midsole". That IS an odd move by Adidas on their flagship "race shoe". I mean if it was to save weight they could have removed foam in other places. Like the centre of the midsole to create that "trampoline effect" while maintaining "balance" around t he sides. Why not stick with the Pro 2 design?? I appreciate your comment because in the US not enough mention is made by major news channels that inflation is a global phenomenon now due to supply chain issues affected by the pandemic, gas prices, the war in Ukraine-all interacting with one another. However, if enough people were willing to simply not pay these prices (wait for sales, buy last year’s model, etc) the companies would have to cut prices and settle for less profit margin. I skipped this because the 2 did not work for me (lateral collapse) the mid geometry is lateral bias . I do not understand the price as Adidas is made in China , and i do not think the tech is that much different from other manufacturers. I think its a strategy to price high and will look like a bargain when they put them on sale (which might still be higher than their target price) . I still would buy the V1 due to the geometry (looks more stable for my foot strike ) . Wish they would take out aggressive bevels and let the foam do its job and compress in areas due to the runners stride , and not think that thats how we all foot struke and do it for us (looking good does not mean it feels good). I love the takumi 8 though.

Unfortunately, prices are just not coming down anytime soon. These companies have the consumer by the you know what's and they can play the inflation and supply chain blame game. It also doesn't help that so many runners are buying shoes left and right for their rotation. The only way prices are going to come down is with supply outpaces demand. Pinch those pennies and just look for some deep discounts or fire sales at the moment.

Ya, if anything prices are going to continue to rise. For instance, he keeps mentioning the price of the endorphine pro 3 being 225, but that is a $25 increase from the pro 2. $250 is the standard now and i wouldnt be suprised if it got to 275 or 300.
@bsmoov7

@@dmac6119 exactly. There’s no factors to suggest they would go down. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Vaporfly 3 whenever they come out are $260. Although Nike could undercut the market and be ok. But I’m really surprised Seth is pounding the table so loudly wrong lol

Tbh i think adidas is artificially inflating the price of their shoes just to make their discounts look better considering how often they have their 30% off full priced items discounts. The adios pro 2 launched for 280 in my currency but now goes for 300 on the store before discount :/

Qd: hardest thing I overcame professionally is being taken seriously as a younger woman starting in the corporate work force. I’ve been working part time jobs / hourly positions since I was 15 and had managed to do this all while going to school full time. Now, i’m 3 years post college and like most young people we have to prove ourselves worthy. However, my problem was all of the age comments and the older generation not taking me seriously. Not even bosses, but other coworkers that are supposed to be my equals. It has always been a main frustration because I make sure I show up, go above and beyond, look professional, act professional, but somehow I find that my age (25) is a problem. So many of my older coworkers say “you’re like my daughter” or all the pet names like sweetie, honey, babe, etc. It was something I just had to learn to stand up for myself and in a polite way tell them to knock it off essentially. Now, I find that I’m taken seriously by my older coworkers, which is fantastic. Granted, i know this isn’t something that I’ll deal with as I get older, but I will remember when a younger generation comes into the workforce to treat them with the respect I had to ask for.

You dont like adidas shoes is a fact, you dont talk about the Stability of the shoe, is thw most stable and durable of all marathon shoes tight now! Another fact is the comfort is relative and not important in a Racing shoe, i s very rare that you launched the full Review so late and the score is very arbitrarie! I want to see what class of score gibe you to the alphafly 2 that ia 275$, very heavy at least half iunce more than the pro3 and not very duarble and unstable to, im sure that you are going to put a high score becasue is a Nike shoe.

Ah here ...energy return in this shoe is immense. When you give the top performing race shoe by results of top athletes a 7 for energy return I have to question it. The Nike/Saucony foams feel like they give more because you sink into them more, they don't. I suggest racing a half or marathon in them and see what happens. And as for the shoe isn't helping the athletes..that's an excuse for the poor review, if it didn't give back the energy Nike did and save the legs theb the athletes would be still in the Nike

Everything Seth reviews is his opinion, and he bases his scores off of the way the shoe feels to him. They are sent to him for him to review, not score it based on how other athletes do in it. Clearly adidas’s performance lineup doesn’t work for Seth 🤷‍♂️
@colinm9168
@colinm9168 Год назад
@@logandana3565 I get that, but energy return is evident in the shoe that isn't subjective , prices of other shoes are going up too, I get he may not like the ride, and that's ok, but imo there's a bias against Adidas. At this stage to give a fair review of an adidas race shoe, it needs to be raced in or don't review them .

Hopefully Adidas will stop making terrible uppers instead of "taking action". If enough people like Seth speak the truth. It's been a few years since I've been happy with a lockdown on any Adidas shoes. I'm ok with recycled materials if there isn't a huge compromise, especially at this price point. Hey Ceasar you have made a lot of negative comments today, feel free to look for a channel that caters to your own biased opinions.
