Anti-Sonic Fans and Haters | ITEM BOX 

I'm 25 now but i got bullied in secondary school for liking Sonic I got the nickname Sonic girl that they'd shout at me when I walked down the halls (so original) and one person tried to break my psp just because I was playing sonic rivals on the school bus, but at the end of the day it made me happy and still does so I just ignored them, if you're in high school right now just do the things you love and what makes you happy and what makes you well... you, don't let anyone pressure you to be different it isn't worth it in the end because they wont be your friends even if you stopped liking Sonic or anything for that matter, just play away and fuck them.

The biggest sign that the Sonic hate has gotten out of hand and needs to stop is Derpibooru, a My Little Pony imageboard. There's a lot of MLP/Sonic crossover art on the board, and it runs the gamut in terms of both quality and content. Yet nearly every single image attracts a mountain of downvotes, often within an hour of being uploaded. And to top it all off, this is happening on a board that allows users to hide tags they don't want to see! If they hate seeing Sonic-related art on Derpibooru so much, why don't they just hide it?! A simple click of the mouse would remove all of it from their sight forever! But they don't. They downvote, downvote, downvote, refusing the give any good reason. The best reason I can think of is that, in terms of obsession and stupidity, they have long since lapped the Sonic fans. It's gotten to the point that the screaming kids, OC creators and MS Paint artists are less irritating than the people who leap upon every mention of Sonic in any context to remind you that they HATE Sonic, that EVERY game since '06 was TOTAL CRAP,, that all Sonic fans are DISGUSTING PERVERTS who need to KI.L THEMSELVES, and that they are far superior to the people who obsessively like Sonic, because they obsessively HATE Sonic. Methinks they doth protest too much.

Sonic: For kids but targets teens too People: I'm done with this childish franchise. People: *proceeds to play Mario and Pokémon which targets freaking 10 ten year olds*

I feel you, I am 18 right now but I've been bullied to no end in middle school for liking Sonic, I would just get made fun of just because I like Sonic, but I still like Sonic to this day because I ignore them. I love Sonic and I always will, though in high school, I was a bit more silent about it, but overall I still love Sonic, if people don't like it, they're free to fuck off.

I think the main thing people need to do is this. It's okay to admit you like Sonic games, to hell what people outside think about you. On that note, if you're one of the people who goes on and on about how the Sonic fandom is the worst thing since the Teletubbies, you need to just not get involved in the fandom circles. I've been into the Sonic games for a long time and I never really ventured into the fandom, I didn't even know the fandom was considered bad until Generations came out. Prior then, most of the very out there fans tend to be kids to teenagers and well, it's normal for the most part. Just ignore them and continue to enjoy the games if you genuinely enjoy them. It is disheartening that people feel if they admit they like Sonic games, they feel it's like walking into the flames of hell but at the core, it really doesn't matter.

Most haters are hypocritical. They ridicule the fans and the games when ironically they are fans of the loud house, undertale FNAF etc. Some people just don't think before hating.

Thanks for making this podcast. I'm a sonic fan and I love the franchise but it's not something any of my friends really get and so I kindof roll with the jokes. I do feel though just because there are things in the series that aren't great, there's still plenty to really enjoy. As much shit as the sonic fanbase gets, I've never seen a fanbase create so much self produced content for a series they love. Art, animation, games, music- it's fucking awesome. I myself am starting my very own sonic fan comic for the first time and I'm just going with it. I don't think I should have to feel ashamed to be a sonic fan.

It's okay to not like Sonic but I would still prefer if anti-Sonic people would just leave us be. But haters be haters so I guess that's not going to happen like... ever. Also, I also got bullied for liking Runescape more than World of Warcraft during elementary school... I am still playing it though and most people don't even give a crap. That's the way I like it.

Yeah, the hate really gets annoying especially since its the same thing over and over again. "Dur hur Sonic 06 sucks" or nowadays "Dur hur rise of lyric sucks. We know it sucks you don't have to keep reminding us every time sonic is brought up. We don't have short term memory loss so stop acting like we do. I was made fun of in high school for liking sonic, but then again I was also made fun of for liking Mario. Sonic and Mario were seen as kiddy stuff that was just for kids. At least for me it wasn't everybody making fun of me for that, but it still made me feel bad about it.

Some people liked BvS, like some people like Sonic, Sonic and his fans have a really shit reputation :/

sonic: is aimed at younger children. People: I'm sick of this children's franchise. people: proceed to play super Mario, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the dragon, Rayman and Pac-Man who are also aimed at the little ones. Anyway, those people criticize the Sonic saga for stupid reasons. and don't get me wrong, I'm not insulting Mario or Crash or Spyro or Rayman or Pac-Man or their fans, I'm just comparing them with different results, and they too have had bad games, but hating them would be something very silly. Sonic hate also happens on Twitter and DeviantArt and those are the most toxic sites on the internet. Also in the Spanish-speaking community there is too much hatred towards Sonic, honestly the hatred of Sonic should stop now, good video.

I personally don't get people's problems (IGN). Honestly there's only 3 bad Sonic games, Boom Rise of Lyric, Labyrinth, and Free Riders. I personally take all the hits and I don't care what people think. I love Sonic! I've grown up with him, and people bully me about it. I personally say who cares! I don't make fun GTA and COD fans. It honestly needs to stop!

I personally like Dawn of Justice, despite its flaws, and I'm entertained by the film. But I'm not going to belittle others who don't like the film, just don't call me stupid for liking it. Not my fault.
