I just want to say thank you, to you both, during this video I had an epiphany moment. When Anais said bi+ (fluid pan queer) I realised I found my place. I sort of knew that the term bi+ existed, but it sort of just hit me and I broke down in tears, but good tears because everything just felt like it was in harmony. Phew. Yeah, thanks . peace x

I have only a few friends who are straight and most of the rest are bisexual and it's so interesting to see how they all identity differently in certain ways and I've been given a new perspective on sexuality. It's just how my close friends have a new perspective on gender because of me.

None of my family or friends are bisexual, you helped me find who I was and help me realise that bisexuality is an actual thing and it's me, I am bisexual!!!! I feel so happy to say that and you helped me so much so thank you!!!!! ❤️

or even better yet tham "Same Sex"/"Bi"/"Straight" couple, just the word "couple" will do. I try to tell that to my friends. It leaves out all assumptions other than love, hopefully we can get to that point one day.

I haven't told my family so far; I'm from a black family who is really christian.......so it's gonna be tough. I love this video, RJ. When I was starting the process of realizing my sexuality I was really big into Manga. In about 95% of the stuff I read back then; they didn't write Bisexaul characters nicely. I was kinda turned off of the ideal of falling in love with a Bi guy because of that. When I started watching your channel you became my role model in the Bi community. I have learn so much from you and Will. I can see myself now maybe falling in love with someone who identifies as Bi, thanks to you. I agree LGBTQ+ people need to be more supportive of each other. I identify as Lesbian but, I love all my Bi brothers and Sisters and I try to do what I can. I've learned so much from this series and I love the way U are an out and proud Bi Man. I just wanna say I just started watching your videos yesterday and i like them very much! Videos like these are very informative and have helped a quite a bit! So thank you! I am still trying to figure myself out, at the moment i only have about 3 or 4 friends who know i feel more comfortable being pansexual at the moment. Although most of those friends i only see once or twice a year. It can be hard sometimes learning and discovering things like this in an area where there are not too many LBGTQIA+ people. So thank you! ^u^

Being homeschooled and surrounded by supportive people and (also in high school 😜) I haven't had to deal with many negative ideas toward bisexuality. I have had some isolated incidents hit not too many. I am glad that there are things like these resources and visibility months to help people who are struggling with this. That makes me happy. 😊

Hey RJ, do you think you'd ever do an Ask a bi transgirl or transguy episode? I'm bi and trans and I've found that there can be quite a divide between people who come out and feel the need to be binary sexually to be taken seriously and the people who discover attraction to different genders after coming out. It also gets a little complicated when taking non binary people into account (I tease a bi NB friend of mine that because "hetero" means different they're technically always heterosexual) the idea of gender starts to break down a little and saying "I only like men but also I like this one person who is not male" canbe confusing for cis gay or straight people. Anyway, love the show, thanks for elevating bi voices with your channel!

One thing about picking your battles is also... well, pick your friends too. You can't do it with family, especially while living with them, but having friends that make you feel bad/poisoned it's really unhealthy. It was hard for me to do at first, but once I distanced myself from those people my life got a whole lot better. Anyhow! This video makes me so happy

I hate that "I don't do labels" shit. I mean I get for some people that's the case but saying that in a show then having the cast members call the character bisexual is just ridiculous. I soon will be writing a novel and I want to include a lot of lgbt characters (so far I planned a transgirl, a nonbinary person, a gay guy, and a bi guy that will actually say the B word ~gasp~). I don't think it will ever get published since I'm going to attempt to write it in English (which is my third language so sorry if my grammar sucks), but hey it'll still be a personal achievement.

I'd like to extra-extra-extra stress how important it is to find health professionals who are enthusiastically accepting and conscious of multi-gender attraction! This is HUGELY important with mental health professionals--I'm out to my general physician in a much lesser sense than I am to my psychiatrist and, more importantly, my therapist. It is so empowering that my therapist for the past year is hugely accepting of my bi/pan orientation, and makes sure to ask questions accordingly. Even something as simple as casually asking "So is this a guy or a girl we're talking about? I want to use the right pronouns." if I'm talking about a sexual encounter, acknowledging some of the bi/pan-specific frustration/discrimination I encounter as valid, but not bringing my orientation up when it'd be irrelevant to the conversation, is so comforting and ensures that my mental health treatment takes place in a truly safe space. Also, for those of you out there with the need for a gynecologist, make sure you find someone who is accepting and aware of the different sexual risks associated with having multi-gender attraction--because they *are* different, just based on what sorts of sexual encounters you have and what fluids may or may not be exchanged--and don't be afraid to keep them updated on your sexual history each visit. I've found that most gynos are much more concerned about making sure they're covering everything for your health's sake than they are about passing judgment, but you need to make sure you're comfortable being open with them and that they are doing everything they need to to ensure you are healthy.

I grew up with a single mom so I feel like that made me more able to see family and love as so much more than a man and a woman together.

RJ, I need your help. For 25 years of my life, I consider myself as a straight girl. I have a boyfriend for 2 years and a half and as long as I remember I always attracted to only boys. But lately (for almost a year now actually), I found that girls are also fascinating and have this sexual attraction to them. What should I do? Am I bi now? Or I just realized it? what are your thoughts on the tv show faking it? it has a bit of biphobia especially in the first season but its getting a little better and there was a bi character in season 2 that called out other characters on biphobia and the main character amy is attracted to girls and boys

I think character representation is so important especially for people like me who love their tv shows. I want the term 'gay marriage' gone as well. I think same sex marriage rights are rights for ALL people regardless of sexual preference. Of course two straight people of the same sex are very unlikely to get married lol but they can if they want.

My family doctor was so much helpful than my therapist it is insane. I got more dismal from gay/lesbian than straight wo/men. Straight people for me 90% did not care and was accepting which felt nice, whereas gay/lesbian were closed off.

When I was 15 (I'll be 30 in May)facing bullying everyday at school I had a therapist tell me I can't be bi. She asked me how many men do I love at the time I just had feelings for my cis female best friend(I'm cis female) and I said none and my therapist how many women do you love me umm my friend. she brought my father in and told him I'm lesbian. I remember just crying not saying a thing. Yes after it scared me when I started loving my now boyfriend I was like umm what am I and now. I see I'm just Linzi into love with Mike. I like the words bi or pansexual for myself I'm ok with either. Growing up what helped me was Willow from Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

I just realised that I know more people who are bisexual than gay or lesbian.

I struggle with the term "same sex couple." Because as a trans man, if I date a man, anyone looking at us on the street would be like "oh yeah, that's a same sex couple." But our sexes are not the same at all. I wish "same gender couple" was a term people used, because it's more inclusive.

I don't think that in belgium we say same sex couple or gay couple, we just say couple... at least I have never heard it being specified...

I understand that most of the time the term gay is used to describe someone who is strictly homosexual but I feel like more and more (especially online) people use the word gay as an umbrella term. If gay is used as an umbrella term then is calling a relationship of 2 people of the same gender a "gay relationship" still wrong?
