I F-ing love you! Been tried everything and I couldn’t get em to work…found this video and PRESTO CHANGO, we got the Astro!!!

If it only was this easy man. Only thing that went smooth so far is you guys taking my payment. Trying to get it working for a week now, shit out of luck.

Make sure to flick the switch back to Xbox when you've done the firmware update from PC 😉

It works fine - just make sure you update firmware via PC/Mac first. Got mine today and they’re fire

I don’t understand why this can do USB audio but the PS5 has to have an hdmi adapter to create optical even though it has usb ports. Isn’t USB too compressed for 7.1? What makes Xbox usb ports so exceptional but only with Astro? Other usb type headsets get bad reviews for compressed audio sound. I got the a50 because it’s optical. For the best result, wouldn’t a hdmi to optical adapter be superior to USB?

For Xbox Series X and PS5, you will need to update the firmware on your base station by connecting the USB to your PC.

Is there a way for the headset to unmute the speakers while turned off?

What they don't tell you is that none of the EQ's work on either the A40's or A50's on the Series X as they need the Optical Cable in order to do this. They sounded superb on the Xbox X, but have now just become a very expensive set of Stereo Headphones.

But the sound quality is much worse on usb than on optical cable across. I'm very disappointed.

Says i need a license for dolby atmos but A50s have it come free and i cant change that in dolby settings or anything

Hey what do I do if it just suddenly stops connecting and won’t connect to my Xbox? Cause I’ve reset it and done a few other things cause the audio was all staticky and then it disconnected and won’t reconnect

It does not work. Did exactly the same. Using 2020 model LG OLED55CX5LB. No sound. Where does the sound get transmitted through? Micro USB?

If you want to fix these headphones, if you have an optical port on your TV and can output it as a bitstream, I have an LG and I can choose auto or pcm choosing auto puts it to bitstream, I'm not sure for other TVs you will need to look at your settings, anyway plug your optical cable from your base station in to your TV and set your audio to go through optical, make sure it's just optical and not a mixture of TV and optical, go to audio settings on your Xbox set hdmi audio to bitstream out then to Dolby digital. From what I'm understanding it sends a digital signal that needs to be decoded by the base station and as I was trying out the other settings other than Dolby digital I was loosing sound so I'm guessing it is set up right as Dolby digital was the only one working. Also just leave your headset setting set to uncompressed stereo. If you would like any help send me a message

So I have these for my Xbox SX and they are good. My only issue so far is setting it so I can't hear my voice when talking and having everything else sound good. I turned up the side tone but unless I basically push the mic to touch my lips, I can't hear my voice through the headset

I have to wonder what type of kick back you all are getting with the subscription to Dolby service

I have an A50 wireless headset and it won't work anymore, impossible to update it, the windows 10 app doesn't work at all. Can't use my headset anymore and I'm not the only one like that, will you do something about it ? Just go read your reviews on the microsoft app... HELP

Are you going to fix your firmware update issue that everyone and their mother is complaining about. Spent a ton of money on these a50 and have had nothing but issues with the freakin things.

I did all that for my new Xbox and it did notting. It only works if you have them on digital optical cable. Please help if I’m missing something

When I power the headset off it still shows as ‘On’ in the Xbox Series X menu. Is there something I am doing wrong? It shows my headset at ‘Plugged In’ and when this is present I am unable to receive Dolby Atmos to my sound bar unless I switch the headset base to PC mode so it shows disconnected. Any REAL HELP would be greatly appreciated

Can someone please help me? I have been trying to figure out how to fix issues with my A50 for MONTHS. Everyone I play with on PC says that my game audio comes through my mic and I can't figure out why. I have turned off side tone, I'm using the game channel, and I have tried adjusting the noise gate settings as well. Any other ideas?

Ive ensured all settings are as followed on the video and updated the firmware on my pc, and the only thing my headset is able to do is voice chat. No game sound happens whatsoever otherwise.

So I D.L. the command center to pc. Connected the Xbox base station and headphones. It did firmware. Then I connected base via USB to series x. Powered up. Set headphones on it got lights. D.l. doby on Xbox. Did settings put to headset for party chat. Format doby atmos. Only hear myself talking in mic on right side nothing on left and I don't hear anything from series x for games or any audio on headphones just audio comes out of tv. Please help. What's wrong?

Everybody use your TV/monitor optical output and connect to the base. Using just the usb doesn’t seem to work right. I feel like the audio doesn’t change whatsoever through the different settings and sounds overall muddy

Ok I figured it out- you have to plug the base station into your PC or MAC , download their firmware, then switch back to xbox mode and it works. This video glosses over the “update your firmware” part. Apparently you can’t do this through xbox

I just bought a pair of these today and got it hooked up, haven't downloaded any "update" to it and it seems to work fine I think. I tested on modern warfare 2019 and it seems to work? Is there something else Im missing out on by not doing the update via PC?

I can hear party chat but no game volume on my xbox (old xbox one and now series x as well). I tried updating the firmware on my pc and it said it updated but I still have no game volume.

Not sure if anyone can answer this but why is it so simple to set up here compared to the ps5? What’s the downside of just connecting it the same on ps5?

My Astro A50 silver when I go to turn on I have to click a button many times to get that white light and my charging hub will not show the mic settings that I can press on my mic and when I go to turn I do not here the four clicks and do not here any game volume I turned up and did everything I turned voice up game up still nothing can you help me fix this thank you ( not all mics do this but these mics are still great but if you could help thank you)

I’ve been trying to get the update on my headset for damn near 3 hours now. Hooked it up to a Mac and windows 10 laptop and the update for the base station won’t pop up. I even did a reset on my headphones just in case and guess what still nothing. This is the worst piece of shit I could’ve bought. I’d rather wipe my ass with 300 than buy another one of these.

Mine have been getting some annoying little squicking sound every few minutes, goes away and comes back. This started with the series X, they work just fine on the xbox one... have you fixed that? I know I'm not the only one with this problem

dumb problem. Got my astro a50 working perfectly on xbox series x. However problem is that monitor I use the xbox on also outputs sound, which is a problem because when I'm in chat other people can hear it making noise.

So you need to buy a app so your a59 works on the Xbox series x
